- In this episode of Trackin' Dirt, I'm backpacking and camping in the backcountry of Québec, where I'm faced with an early season snowstorm atop Mont de Morios, one of the five major summits surrounding Charlevoix. Following a brisk night on the trail, I head back down to get my blood pumping again with some summer dogsledding and another steep but incredible hike on the Acropole des Draveurs Trail, which offers a stunning view of the Malbaie River.

Glad to hear that!
Well done. A tad envious? Oui... :)
Thank you!
I never think of being able to wild camp in Quebec. Do you need to get permission to pitch a tent on the mountain like that? Any hints for finding wild camping spots in the Quebec backcountry?
I did not need permission for anywhere I went. That said I don't know all the local regulations but I got the impression there were lots of free camping options. My go to is to go into a local gear shop and ask staff, they usually are very helpful.
Great video bud, love the quality and the content! Are you sticking around Quebec for a while or off to somewhere else?
I just saw your last two vids so I'm guessing not haha
Haha, we were there last fall! Hope to come back one day! :)
