@Christopher Satkowski well why would I learn the imperial system when basically all countries use the metric system? I'm guessing you're not American (otherwise commenting that would've been idiotic lol) but I dont know any countries in which both are taught
@Christopher Satkowski most of the world uses the metric system and in school we are obviously taught that system we don’t learn useless things like the system that America is used to
I have one rule for cave diving, just one rule that has always served me very well and saved my life, a rule I have never and will never break - do not go cave diving. Very effective. I can think of no more pointless, dangerous ways to horrifically die than being trapped underwater.
There are countless more horrific ways to die, lots of them documented on this channel, mostly at the hands of monstrous human beings. What you're actually afraid of is feeling stupid while you die; and that's just sad, but so relatable. Get over it.
I went to lake Tahoe when I was 19. There this rock not to far from the shore, easy swim. You can climb on the rock and dive in the water. But also if you swim like 15 feet down there's a narrow tunnel way that carves through this large rock, you can swim through, maybe only 12 feet long. So we do it! I was the last one to go, well I lost my momentum about have way through and its so narrow you can't put your arms or legs out to swim. So I reach on the sides and bottom to push to propel myself but it all really slick, coated in moss or algae or something. So I started to panic, but i had to remind myself not to panic and reach a solution. So I wiggled my body like a worm and started to slowly move forward. I made it out of the tunnel, I barely made it the 15feet back to the surface before gasping for air. I'll never do anything so stupid ever again.
@@alexjosephwalker8605 Yes but why would you bet on your life knowing that cave diving is risky ? Being murdered by a monster human being is something you don’t have a choice over but you decide whether you’d go cave diving. So why would anyone risk their lives knowing full well that they can die ? I’d rather die from something I had no control over than vice versa
I have a story about aight good friend of mine that died when he went hiking on the Appalachian trail near Bear Mountain located in New York. My friend Chris was a risk taker. He loved skydiving, bungee jumping, rock climbing, discovering new caves which were known to be very dangerous (even for experience cave explorers). But the mountain that he decided to hike this day was a fairly easy hike, and it was a mountain that he had hiked numerous times and it was one of his favorite places to go. He hiked up this mountain called Anthony's Nose (located just on the other side of Bear Mountain overlooking the Hudson River). He started off around 5:30am just getting off a 12hr. overnight shift from work. He reached the top which only took a little over an hour. So once he reached the top he decided to rest on top of this huge bolder. There's no gate or anything that would stop u from falling off the cliff of this bolder which is about 225ft straight drop to the bottom. He never showed up for work that night and this was highly unusual because he never called out and was always there on time. His boss called his cell phone but it was going straight to voicemail because it wasn't charged the entire day. One of his coworkers was very good friends with him and his family so he called his brother and asked him if he knew were Chris was because he didn't show up for work, didn't call, his phone is off and no one has heard from him or has been able to get in touch with him. His brother knew that he was going hiking and asked some of his friends including myself if he had gone with him. But everyone told him that he was going straight from work by himself. His brother drove to the mountain and found his car parked on the side of the road just before the trail started. It was already dark outside and nobody was thrilled about hiking in the woods at night because the area was known for bears. Wolves and snakes. His brother called the police and in the morning they started the search for Chris. Once they reached the top the found his backpack and jacket, but no Chris. So after a few minutes of looking around the area, one of the officers looked over the edge of the cliff and at the bottom they saw his body. Apparently he had fallen asleep while resting and rolled over the edge. He died from blunt trauma to his head cracking his skull on a rock either on the way down or once hitting the ground. He also suffered from two broken legs, and a broken neck. He died almost instantly. He was only 26yrs old, married with a 3 year old daughter and a child on the way. He was a great guy who everyone enjoyed being around. He will be missed. Thank you for reading my story! Love ur channel Mr. B!
I'm from that area and know it very well. I love those mountains and have taken many treks alone. I won't be doing that anymore. My condolences on you loss.
I’ve lived 20 minutes from bear mountain pretty much my entire life. There are no wolves. Coyotes, yes, no wolves though. I’m sorry about the loss of your friend. That hike is one of my favorites.

I've heard the 'M' cave story multiple times from multiple different creators but nobody ever mentioned the guy warning Kenny he would die. It just makes the story that much creepier.
@@epic7224 it also may have been a fake username created by an area 51 employee that caught wind of the story and tried to give him an anonymous warning. Your explanation seems more likely though.

id rather drown. I reckon explorers accidentally find other explores bodies and assume it's a demon or something. Ugh Paris. Makes it seem a lot less romantic and fun being built above a mass grave
The feeling that he got outside the m-cave sounds to me like infra-sound. Deep bass-notes, at frequezies too low to hear for the human ear. But does affect the body, psyche and even vision. This can occour naturally if wind passes through in a cave that is shaped in such a way that it acts as a low frequenzy flute.
Building off this, another possibility would be some wonky machinery, either producing infrasound or electric fields. I've been around large transformers before that can feel really unpleasant to be around. Could be the cave linked up to a substation of some type, and if he decided to explore there are all sorts of ways that can end badly.
@@neeneko Infrasound is a very effective weapon, in fact police use it for crowd control. Infrasound is also responsible for that intense dread you might feel while watching horror films

When you described your swimming beneath the barges, I immediately thought of my late Green Beret Father. In Operation Just Cause 1989, my Father volunteered as an Individual Military Augmentee with the 1st Special Forces Group-Delta to be a combat diver. His mission was to take and hold the locks of the Panama Canal. He told me exactly what you said about swimming under barges. He was swimming beneath the hulls of massive ships in complete darkness, while on his back with little space to maneuver. His tanks literally rubbed against the floor of the Canal. He was very proud of his specified task. His story was enough to make me feel claustrophobic and I was just sitting there listening. Ha! Dad proudly served in the US Army Special Forces for 29 1/2 years on two teams A-234 An Lac (5th SFG Vietnam) 1967-1969 and A-122 (12th SFG) 1972-1995. He died in 2014 after a 19 1/2 year battle with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, bone marrow leukemia and multiple myeloma due to Agent Orange. Miss him every day.
I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. I understand how you feel. My mom just passed in November. At least, you soaked up his stories like a little sponge (no water pun was made intentionally lol) and now you’re passing his stories along. I like that. Right now, all of us that read ur comment, we just got to know about ur dad :)
Your dad was fighting all of those conditions for 19 and half years, his time in army really made his shell hard to be battling so many things at once and still have the will to live and tell his amazing stories for as long as he could, may he finally rip.
This really hit home. My father died due to agent Orange as well. His lungs basically turned to glass and every breath was excruciating. His lungs filled up and he suffocated. He was my best friend. I miss him. So sorry for your loss as well.
This guy is so cool. Nowadays we have so many people doing the 'Stolen Valor' thing and saying they were Navy SEALS. But this guy actually was and he never mentions it. Badass

Important to note about Kenny: his girlfriend has since said that she actually believes Kenny may have disappeared on purpose. Apparently he had a history of depression and was struggling mentally at the time he went missing, and as an explorer it would be easy for him to disappear himself in a way that he wouldn't be recovered. She noted that he had not brought his camera with him that he used to record, so his intention this time wasn't to find M-cave. That is definitely the saddest possible ending, but it comes from the person closest to him, and based on her explanation I think that is what happened.
That’s what I thought too when hearing his phone was left coincidentally right by a mine shaft. If his body isn’t inside, then it would seem someone planted the phone to insinuate he fell into the mine shaft. It’s very rare to not notice when you drop your phone especially if you’re standing up and there wouldn’t be much noise out there, I think he would’ve heard it drop. The military wouldn’t have left any trace

Years ago when I was in my teens, we regularly surfed during hurricanes. Before, during and after didn't matter to us as long as the waves were good. It was a big day 14+ft. I took a set wave and ate it right at the bottom. Commence the wash cycle. After being thrown around like a rag doll I found myself at the sea floor. Felt like 30 ft or so from the surface, so much pressure. Not just from the depth but from the wave above as well. I remember standing and pulling my leash to get my board so I can use the buoyancy to surface. I started to run out of air, now that is a horrible feeling. Just when I'm thinking yup I'm about to die, the pressure from the waves pass and I start to float up. As I'm getting to the surface my body can't handle it anymore and I take a nice breath of sea water. It feels like the thickest, heaviest air ever and hurts/burns like nothing else. I surface a split second later and begin to cough up and throw up at the same time. I then floated to shore and laid on the beach for a while. Being down there in the pitch black cold and feeling like you're about to drown with no way to try to get out is the most fear I have ever felt.
If you go to the original M cave video, his girlfriend made a lengthy post explaining that it’s most likely he killed himself. He was severely depressed, running out of money and had spoken with her about suicide before and had said “if i ever did it, nobody will find me” and that he likely left his phone behind to avoid being traced and his body discovered
@@FBarbarian not Area 51 though. They’d never have anything secret in a place that is so widely suspected. They just let the rumors persist to keep people from searching elsewhere is my guess. My dad works in weapons development as a subcontractor for the DOD, he doesn’t know much because he’s not directly involved and i know even less, but what i DO know is that there’s no shot in hell they’d actually place anything sensitive in Area 51 given that everyone knows about it and suspects it.
A note on Kenney, he was in a dark place emotionally (about to lose his home that was his prize possession, no job, out of money etc) and was very depressed and spoke of suicide. He said that if he was to take his life, he'd do it out there where no one would find him because he had to find his father after he'd taken his life and it traumatized him.

The details surrounding it and the people involved are extremely intriguing. You should check it out if you haven’t already. I’d love to hear a full story from your perspective.
My partner was invited to an underground rave in the Paris Catacombs in the early 2000's. It was deep in one of the forbidden sections and they were lead there in a group by someone who already knew the way. He said it was one of the weirdest parties he'd ever been to - a lot of gothics were there, lots of satanic graffiti and to top it all off there was a dead goat with it's throat slit. He and his group of friends obviously wanted to leave immediately but had to wait for their "guide" or risk getting lost in the labyrinth of bones. This was during a period where he lived 'van life' before it was cool and road-tripped France for a couple of years. Now he is one of the most street smart people I know and can sniff a dodgy character a mile away, thank God!
the rays. He was a totally sain guy. Our government is twisted and things have in recent years big things been kept from us. If something were so classified I'm sure they'd make sure it stay that way. No matter what.
The dude was depressed, though. He'd literally made a post somewhere saying "If I killed myself out here no one would ever find me" some time before this incident. The more likely explanation is that he was feeling suicidal, no one showed up to come with him on this expedition, no one was able to talk him out of it or distract him, and he finally acted on it. The vibrations and everything he described all line up with naturally occurring infrasound *exactly.* Infrasound has some seripusly scary effects. It even has the potential to kill you, though that's only in extremes. *Occam's razor,* and all that. Of course, none of these theories can actually be proven or disproven, so, who knows.
I've always assumed Kenny disappeared because that M cave was actually some sort of an exhaust or vent for area 51. He likely got exposed to some really toxic stuff or saw something he shouldn't have if his phone was just found near a different mineshaft...
Either that or they captured him once he went back because he knew too much. Another guy searched the area and found where he think it was but it was covered up.
I know someone who used to do government work for nuclear testing out there. He said They did a ton of testing nukes in man made caves and underground shafts. They're full of radiation and other toxic stuff so if that guy went in one of those caves then it's possible he got a huge dose of radiation and didn't make it out.
@@wormhole331 that's been a reason I haven't liked exploring mines near my hometown with a couple friends, I know plutonium was mined in some of them around the silver and gold mines in the area.

I'm always really confident and composed through out my days until Mr Ballen hits me with the strange dark and mysterious in story format. I then find myself watching my back on the way to the bathroom which is about 3 ft away from my room.
I work night shifts at the hospital (security officer) and listening to these videos make my nights so nice and peaceful. the more sinister videos make me question if I'm truly alone in this 108yr old facility👻 (certain areas have an eerie feeling upon entering the room. the abandoned Operating Room is in the basement with the 1950's green tiles still present. one of my coworkers swears on his life he saw the face a woman through a window down there and he's never ran up stairs faster than he did that night) listening to your stories enhances those feelings and truly makes me wonder what I can't see next to me while I'm working 12hr shifts in a super old/quiet hospital!!

As a Paramedic and a Biologist let me say that diving in the dark is one of the scariest things I ever did. I am a certified diver and rescue diver. I have dove in blackwater to recover bodies and I have bee around sharks and alligators. None of that compares to being a cave in the FL spings and I have dived many of them but I went in a cave only once. The only way you know up is by the bubbles but now you can't see that and you know that your going to die because when the air is gone there is no swimming up to a pocket. The catacombs in Paris are so weird. You walk through narrow hallways where the walls are stacked bones. The bones are often separated by type so they stack neatly. But there will be designs in these walls by mixing other bones - like skulls for instance - in patterns. It’s a very weird for of Art work. As you’re walking through it hits you that this is what all of us become. I would look at a skull and think, this was a person. A person with fears and loves and dreams. The real creepy thing is walking in these hallways made of bones and feeling water drip on you. 😖

My PADI dive instructor was an ex underwater welder, with stories of being under ships with no space, and then working. I must say, he ran our class and open water like we were in the military and it was THE BEST SCUBA TRAINING ever.!
I believe there was a movie based of the first story. It’s called “As above so below”. It’s a pretty scary movie about the Paris catacombs. It was a good movie in my opinion.
That was actually a super good movie, it was pretty creepy and it randomly pops into my head from time to time, considering I don't think it had a huge budget well done 👏👏👏
Yeah man good film! I've been to Paris multiple times, lived there for a while too and I've been in the catacombs a couple times and at Rave in a part of the catacombs lol. But i never wandered and was never in there for long but heard some crazy stories. But i can tell you that the Parisian police do NOT fuck about making sure you dont go in there, if they know there's an entrance they will close it rapid! They will keep trying to grab you even while you're basically on but in arms reach because once you're in, they can't help you no matter what happens.
I have always wanted to explore the Paris Catacombs...the parts that aren't open to the public. I absolutely would NOT go beyond that underwater gate. I have heard about it before and I'm convinced that the only thing an unauthorized person is gonna find in there is the place where they die.
The problem with the unmarked areas is that it is super easy to get lost.. everything looks the same. If anything, it is well advised going with a group of experienced french stalkers.. they'll lead you to this fantastic room filled with beautifull graffiti. It's undescribable... oh and never ever leave the group.

I toured the public part of the Paris catacombs. Large parts of it were actually beautiful, though certainly macabre. But what have me chills was noticing the lines of soot on the ceilings from the torches of long dead laborers lighting their way to work on this project. Then the line of soot dead ends into a wall. Being surrounded by thousands of human remains didn't bother me, but mystery of what lady beyond that wall, and the potent metaphor of that line to safety out of this maze of death being so thoroughly cut, gave me shivers
Wow! The M cave story is absolutely heartbreaking! He was scared, but let total strangers talk him into going back?! Talk about peer pressure 😔 Regardless of what causes his disappearance, he shouldn't have let people talk him into this!
@@ಠ_ಠ-ನ7ಣ Exactly. He was depressed and had attempted to unalive himself a few times in the past. The last time he went back out there wasn't an attempt to find the M cave. He didn't even bring his camera or any survival gear like a sleeping bag, food, etc with him, which is what he would normally do if he was going back out to search for the M cave, or just to hike. As Mr Ballen here said, he left his cell phone at the mine shaft he had filmed at several times, and then he just went hiking off into the desert... never to be seen again.

True. Hes so personable. I've been thinking what it is that makes Mr Ballen have "it" and I've come the conclusion its just a combination of things, first and foremost the fact I think hes just simply an all around likeable guy. His vibes, the way he carrys himself and his physical expressionism as he tells the story's. He just feels absolutely genuine and I think that's also quite a big factor because not only do I feel u dont find that in as many people in the world these days, but especially content creators on TH-cam. Genuine is NOT a word that comes to mind associated with youtube lol. But it is a word that comes to mind with Mr. Ballen for sure. It's hard to dislike this guy...and I think if one does dislike him, its probably actually just them having a dislike of themselves and are just projecting that onto him for whatever reason. Lol jus my guess.
My dad works in the Mojave desert and he has all his life. The amount of simply disturbing and unexplainable happenings in that span of land is so awful that many of the field excursions they do are incredibly thought out and cautioned. I've been exploring Mojave my whole life & get to drive through on my trucking route,I love it. Especially the amazing rockhounding & stars. But very dangerous place
These stories make you realise some people experience the most horrifying ends. It's impossible to understand just how horrendous some of these deaths are and the utter terror experienced by those unlucky people. It makes me shudder, which is the point I guess.
That's a good way to get better at English. Immersion is the way to go. That's why despite it's difficulties I recommend people who are interested in the language already to give Japanese a shot because of the sheer amount of accessible content for people of all level of proficiency (well, at least levels past what Duolingo will take you lol). So satisfying reading something in a foreign language for the first time without any real help. Too little native English speakers experience that, and it's sad.
Out of all the coverage ive seen of Kenny and the M cave, you are the first person to rationally explain the 'vibration" with the access denial system. I think that could be possible, and thag Kenny stumbled on some military instillation he shouldn't have
Been saying that since I found him on tiktok then moved here now I send his videos to my friends to keep them on their toes and to get him noticed always good videos no matter the platform
Something I've thought about for nearly a decade, and I'm surprised no youtuber has done yet, is seriously invest time+money in exploratory robotics as a hobby. If someone built a remote controlled robotic fish and live steamed navigating it through some of the world's most notorious underwater caves, I'd watch that with popcorn.
Problem with caves is that they are usually not well suited for wireless transmission, and a wired swimming robot would be difficult to achieve (not impossible but giving the size requirements needed def not easy ) so it would have to be tracked or wheeld ,with compressed air tanks so it could fill up balloons and achieve floating when needing to go up , etc etc... Maybe one day
One day I saw a MrBallen vid and thought it wasn’t for me. Then one auto played after a video I was watching and here I am... watching over and over. I love it.
Fun fact: There is a rebellious group in France that have a map of the catacombs they stole from the city and they use it to gain access to all the secret entrances and passages.
Several years ago I found some old radio shows on the internet. They were Great! Then I discovered creepy patas, which had some good stories to tell. Thank You Mr.Ballen for your fine storytelling. I wish more people would get into telling stories without visual input(or very little of it). Yours are enjoyable true stories and there is plenty of room to tell fictional stories the same way. I think the public would love good stories, well told. Radio storytelling was a huge success so I think internet storytelling can become a huge success. Keep the stories coming MrBallen.
Fun thing, my grandpa used to work at area 51. When he retired they even took a picture with the background blotted out. He never really talked much about what he did, but he loved the guys he worked with and his job!
That "M Cave" thing almost sounds like it could've been the inspiration for one of the episodes of X-Files, the one where a high school student finds this beam of light in some cave that made him jerk around like he was having a seizure at warp speed or something, and he ended up with the ability to move faster than the eye can see.
I live in Washington State and I’m almost positive I met Kenny Veach 2 years ago.. it was winter and I was working in a Fred Meyer store when a seemingly familiar man approached me about jeans he had on hold. I couldn’t pinpoint how I knew this man I just knew I did. And when I proceeded to ask him what the name was for the hold, he changed the subject and held a defensive attitude. Later that night I couldn’t help but think about this strange occurrence I endured with this man, until it sparked to me, he looked and sounded exactly like Kenny Veach. I still swear to this day it was him. This man even dressed like Kenny. I almost wonder if he saw something he wasn’t supposed to, and had to join the WPP. Where I live too is famous for military sites too, known as Hanford. I have always wondered
I first heard of the catacombs in high school when I was taking french. My school was trying to organize a trip to France to see the catacombs, but ultimately it fell through and I was so sad. Going to France had always been a dream of mine and I thought I was close and it didn't happen. One day I'll see France and the catacombs.
I’ve flipped in rapids while kayaking. It was a kayak with the shirt so water wouldn’t get in. Being upside down, underwater, with water rushing past you. That was terrifying enough. I couldn’t imaging being stuck in an underwater cave with no way out. I still love swimming. Never been afraid to go into the water. I’ve also been caving and it was hella fun. But y’all underwater cave divers definitely built different.
I am a college friend of Ben's from Memphis (I rushed in the same fraternity class that he did at U of Memphis) and I can assure you that as fatal a decision as it ended up being for him, cave divers are definitely built differently. Ben was essentially one of the least giving-a-fuck dudes I knew (we were 18 at the time so I'm not judging him for it). I don't want that to come across as he was 0% risk-averse, but he definitely had a wild, rebellious streak in him and it definitely seemed to be part of his identity.....like a "you can't hold me down" mentality, which was great in certain aspects of life, but when you are acting that way towards signs that say "if you go past here you're gonna die" then predictable results will more than likely follow. Most people don't know, but his brother Paul died of a stroke at age 22, two years before Ben disappeared, and in front of both their parents, which is so, so messed up, to have to watch your child slip away in front of you in your kitchen. So yeah, their poor parents, who are the nicest people on Earth, had to live with the fact that two of their three kids died before they did, each of just insane situations. Ben was a very, *very* good dude. Heart of gold. Would literally help anyone out. Only ever judged people by their actions and *always* lived up to the things he said he would do. He was as reliable as it gets, which makes his death all the more mysterious and sad. ETA: I'm not making excuses for his behavior here, but he was also in a very large amount of debt and had recently divorced from the love of his life, so while i don't think he took his own life bc of these factors, I think he was under a very large amount of stress and stress can make you make crazy decisions sometimes, so I think in the end he just wasn't in the best frame of mind, no matter how much he wanted to "get away from it all" by picking up cave diving.
I’ve stumbled across Mr Ballen channel a few days ago and I’ve been binge watching all of his videos! It’s almost like a sick obsession, but I can’t help to appreciate his story telling abilities to keep me and his viewers engaged!😯
As I rewatch this for the millionth time IMO back then he had such excitement and passion towards these stories the way he tells them. Now that he’s down to 1 video a week it just doesn’t seem like he has that same passion anymore. I’m not saying he doesn’t love what he does and he isn’t amazing at it. He’s the reason I get premium. I just wouldn’t want someone doing something they weren’t passionate about for the sake of other people. He’s still the best. There’s just something about him that’s captivating I wish there were more videos. I miss he uploads 3,4 sometimes up to 5 times per week
I can relate to that. My chest gets tight when he tells the cave diving stories or any of them that has to deal with a loss of air. Creeps me out but i can't stop listening to them. Weird huh?
Vortex spring cave is a situation for a small UUV, an unmanned underwater vehicle, to scout out and finish mapping. Exploring via drone is vicarious in a way, but at least if it dies you're still around to try again later. Caves are bizarrely terrifying, both terrestrial and not, and I know for a fact it's this completely insane paranoia that it's going to collapse while I'm in there, despite existing for eons in some cases.
I was in the Catacombs in summer of 2015. Definitely eery, but also beautiful. I wondered about the people that work down there, leading the tours and making sure no one goes off into the many areas that were blocked off. What have they experienced, since they spend hours down there legitimately?
@@nightfall89z62 I know a guy who worked there as tourist guide and I myself went exploring some places on the forbidden part. Basically, in the tourist zone nothing happens, it is very safe, only minor issues with claustrophobic and very sensitive people. And even if you go a little further of the safe zone, it is still quite safe, some of the paths are relatively big (not all of them though) and often explored by urbex guys (there’s a plenty ytb videos about them). There is some stories of people who died in these places quite recently though, mainly because they got lost (it is a very big and dark labyrinth and to get in the forbidden area You basically have to go through very weird paths, for me it was through a sewer), and another thing about this place is that there are sometimes unstable people leaving there, like crackheads or just marginals and I won’t be very pleased to meet one of them in a dark labyrinth surrounded by skulls. Now, there is a huge other less visited or not visited at all part of the catacombs. Some of these parts are blocked because some walls crawled off and blocked the access, others are just blocked by the authorities and others are flooded by dirty waters and the rest we just don’t know how to get to them idk why. But it was an unforgettable experience to get there, in the “ forbidden but often explored » area , ofc it scares the shit out of you but in some ways, since it is explored a lot, there are many graffitis and artworks and it is kind of reassuring, there are tho some artworks made to be creepy and one of the most scary memory I have of this place was when my friends and I entered a room that was decorated like there had been a satanic ritual (pentagram on the floor, red writing on the walls...etc) but as I said since it is very visited (some people sometimes even throw parties there smh), it is 100% fake and if there has to be rituals in the catacombs it will certainly be in the completely unvisited area.
@@amineb7833 yes, there are places in the catacombs that we will probably never see. And the people that do, will never be found. Or they will have a story to tell.

The "gate to hell" thing has a movie based off of that footage. It's called, As Above, So Below. It's on Netflix if you want to watch it. Okay now I know, maybe it might not be based off of it? Idk people in the comments are just telling me things I have the memory of a goldfish so I totally forgot. Wait- isn't that goldfish thing not true? Idfk Btw I'm just saying there was a movie on Netflix that was made in the same place the footage was taken. Also thanks for the feedback and likes.
My wife and I have both been diving in Vortex Springs and Morrison Springs in Florida which both have spring caves. (Geographically close together if its the same one). The water that flows thru from the caves is cold and very uninviting even in the summer ~65°F. I can’t understand how anyone can get certified as a diver and not know how dangerous cave diving is. We had been repeatedly warned by our instructors and the sign at the entrance was enough for me to know not to go far. I went past the sign but never lost sight of the cave opening. I got additional training: advanced, Nitrox, and such but was never even interested in getting the cave diving training. It just doesn’t sound fun to me.
I have always wanted to go to the catacombs, I wouldn't want to go walking thru there alone without someone knowing how to get back out, and btw I am obsessed with these videos I think I've watched everyday since finding them! You are the best thanks for sharing all you do!!!

I have one rule for cave diving, just one rule that has always served me very well and saved my life, a rule I have never and will never break - do not go cave diving. Very effective. I can think of no more pointless, dangerous ways to horrifically die than being trapped underwater.
😂I live by the same rule - only it encompasses any cave activity - land or water, and so far it’s worked 😁
My one rule that has kept me alive so far is: don’t go underground or underwater, yes life is short but there are ways to make it a lot shorter.

Yeah, thats probably what it is.
Building off this, another possibility would be some wonky machinery, either producing infrasound or electric fields. I've been around large transformers before that can feel really unpleasant to be around. Could be the cave linked up to a substation of some type, and if he decided to explore there are all sorts of ways that can end badly.

Ha!

The vibrations and everything he described all line up with naturally occurring infrasound *exactly.*
Infrasound has some seripusly scary effects.

I want anyone that says oh that not that bad just think of complete dark where if your light fails your in nothing.

For Real that sounds intresting
We should get James Cameron for that type of stuff.
Maybe one day
And oh , don't forget wires get caught on shit ...
@Jonathan Pal fish robots have been done before, but going into complex and narrow caves it would be without signal quite fast ..

Let's all just give Mr. Ballen a billion views and likes. This guy is awesome.
89 comments and this came out 1 minute ago.....Thats how freaking awesome he is!!
I was in the Catacombs in summer of 2015. Definitely eery, but also beautiful. I wondered about the people that work down there, leading the tours and making sure no one goes off into the many areas that were blocked off. What have they experienced, since they spend hours down there legitimately?
I would love to go to the catacombs I'm so jealous of u. How was it? Did anything weird happen?
You should ask one of the workers about their experiences. I'm sure they can share some of them.
They experience boredom and claustrophobia
@@amineb7833 yes, there are places in the catacombs that we will probably never see. And the people that do, will never be found. Or they will have a story to tell.
The M Cave situation is probably one of the most confusing and terrifying stories I've heard about.
This has became part of my bedtime regime…I’m so gulity of over thinking and thoughts going round n round my head at night…mr ballen is helping distract me and drift away to sleep with these stories n his voice is so calming too! So glad I found this channel thanks mr ballen💙bet your kids love u reading bedtime stories to them just as much as we do🧸💙
Diving into any sort of cave is a big NOPE for me.
Me too. I do not understand why anyone would want to go into a cave.
same
That is a Texas sized 10-4 from me as well
@@scottygunz1245 Rogerrrrr that brother!
... any type of fresh air in general is a no no to me haha the only cave I’ve ever entered is my bed 👍🏻😉
Idfk
Btw I'm just saying there was a movie on Netflix that was made in the same place the footage was taken. Also thanks for the feedback and likes.
Nah, it’s more of a modern telling of Dante’s Inferno.
No it's on TH-cam. Its real footage real story.
@@jacobstalcup2309 read the comment again, he didn't say that
@@jacobstalcup2309 I know, but they made a movie based off of it
Yeah it's the catacombs in Paris
U still alive, bro?
Who else immediately thought of the movie As Above So Below when he started talking about the catacombs
Same
That was my first thought. Reading some of these comments had me saying to myself, clearly they have not seen As Above So Below.
That was my first thought when he said gateway to hell lol.
It's theorised that AASB is based on that found video actually
That movie stressed me out
Mad respect for your service in the Navy Seals. I love the way you tells the stories.
He was no seal
@@jayoutdoors1534 - there are pics and evidence he was. If you can't do it, you can't do it. But don't degrade a person's service
How do you know he wasn't.
Hint. REAL NAVY SEALS WOULD HAVE CALLED HIM OUT OVER A YEAR AGO
I have always wanted to go to the catacombs, I wouldn't want to go walking thru there alone without someone knowing how to get back out, and btw I am obsessed with these videos I think I've watched everyday since finding them! You are the best thanks for sharing all you do!!!
Whenever I'm tempted to make a risky decision, a voice in my head says, "And this is how you'll end up in Mr Ballen's stories."
Navy Seal♥️ Thank you for your service....
I just discovered your channel a few days ago and I love it.. now I love it even more, lol.
