As a kid, my mom always had the morning news on while we got ready for school. Those stories made me so paranoid lol used to yell at my kid sister "don't talk to random people! That's stranger danger!" Lol

You know (and you're almost certainly from a different generation) it never seemed as bad as today's news. With these shootings for no reason. I mean we had Nam, the Kennedy assassination's (altho I only remember Bobby), Kent St. Then of course it turned darker w Manson//The Son of Sam, and Ramirez the Night Stalker. The only Night Stalker I remember with fondness is "Kolchak: The Night Stalker. A good show you'll see ideas taken from, and added to Supernatural (my greatest weekly pleasure of this Millenia.. However it's just continued until it's an absolute horror show, and not an enjoyable one like Morty brings. This 🌎 has become a place.I no longer understand, which is saying something. After the events of 5+ decade's. Wow, it sux growing okd 😳😬🙄😱💯

@@ekramer2478 I was brought up in Iowa, so all the scary thing's like that seemed like it was in some far distant land. Yet I'd think about it, and wonder how everyone got through it. I believe I was about 19-20, but it seemed I'd read or hear about a new couple every few days 😳😱 Happy your Mom was all over it 💯

My wife and I are story eleven! We made it safely to our destination, and are doing great! She healed up, just some nerve and muscle damage now. Her kitty that was in the cart passed in February. He was twelve and it was his third bout with cancer. She dragged that cat from New Mexico, to Washington, and all the way to Idaho. She says she still can't believe that guy's nerve. We can't have kids and plan to foster in the future. But our current trio of murder mittens are her children. She makes sure they eat better than us somedays. And she always falls asleep with Bugs, our giant cat, on or around her. We've come a long way in these last three years. Thank you for sharing our story!
Condolences on the loss of your family member. My tux baby made it to almost 18 and also had that. Miss him as much as some human relatives.

Working armed security overnight watch, foot patrol/vehicle patrol during a snowstorm during winter on a isolated government detail still creeps me out even assisted with the state police. Especially when the weather is severely bad we need to cut off the electricity power to conserve power to the main security alarm systems. Mort you definitely keep us entertained/awake ☕️ through the Bluetooth 🔊 🇺🇸

@@ponchmonsterstudios Cold and slippery and makes walking and driving so much harder, biking worse. Far more intense than rain...but can be very pretty will admit...though pretty much stuck indoors if any mobility issues.
@@ekramer2478 actually when I visited my sister in Missouri I was so excited to see the snow, she dared me to go out in my underwear, also, I slipped over. Lol
It was fun but, it was my last day so I didn't see much of it. It was crazy how bright the sky was at night though.
@@ponchmonsterstudios Everything reflects off the snow, so you get some pretty intense light between it and the clouds. Sky can go all orangey. I avoid freezing my rump off. Let my Florida born kitties out into it once. Just once. They were like MAAA! NOOOOO!

It annoys me.. WHEN I hear stories about attempted kidnapping where they didn't even call the cops and report it! They are a still out there ..you have doomed the next woman walking thru that Park!!! 😢
Yeah that bothers me too. But yknow what I really *really* hate? When they actually do immediately call/go to the cops and then the police not only say, "well we can't charge 'em with anything so what do you want me to do?" but decline to even go look for the attacker or patrol the are or make sure the victim gets home safe or *something* !!!

That crash mentioned in story number 3 is actually the main reason why passenger train speeds, including the ones I crew, are now reduced from 100 to now 79 mph except for a few Amtrak trains on their own line throughout a portion of the northeast.
I'd like to suggest a story I found very interesting: The Haunting Of... Coco Austin. The haunting in the story actually originated from a verified train wreck. I'm not even in that field and it was very fascinating to me so I thought you might enjoy it, esp given your profession. \(ϋ)/
