Crowder is the man !! A close friend of mine was his roommate in college at Baylor. I got to meet Crowder a hand full of years back and hang with him on his bus. Dude is a legit good guy.
Love the rotation thing. Love the look. Love the display. Could see the pic thing being cool for a band logo but other than that idk not really a huge plus? I got enough screensavers in my life I don’t think my pedalboard needs one haha. There’s a lot in there for 150 tho. Pretty solid release from walrus
It doesn't has the option that TC Electronic PolyTune has that reads all the strings at the same time when you strumming it to check which one is out of tune.
Just got mine and love it. I’m assuming the 300ma is based off the fact that it has a pretty robust buffer and the hilariously bright screen. The flexibility of the tuner is pretty nice but honestly most people can get by with a Boss TU2 or Polytune 3 with a Bonafide Buffer.
How do you use it live with just one Swich ? for example you play one song and you have the Tuner Mode...but the next song you want to use the Transpose Mode, (but you on stage and the pedal is is the pedalboard)
I’m assuming at some point they will add these via update or at least the ability to add user specified tunings. It seems like the ability to do that is built in but not really set up yet
It could be a great tuner - but 9v sould bave been right in the middle of the top mounted jack !! Why to do top mounted jacks- when the power is on the side??
Yes!!! Blows my mind. Its neat but top mounted jacks to save space were the whole reason I even considered this tuner lol. Guess I'm stickin' with the TU-3 for now.
Yeah, the large screen is nice.....but damn, that's a LOT of power for a tuner. That's about 10 analog pedals worth of juice. I have an excess of current available to run high demand digital pedals, but not everyone does. Also, does it inject any noise into the signal when it's not in use like a LOT of other digital pedals?
I’ve seen a few comments about the power which kinda surprises me. I didn’t think twice about it but I do understand why it might be a concern for some people. It hasn’t been an issue for me and neither has any extra noise.
So I am guessing since it has the capo feature your signal pass-thru is no longer analog. So if you are using just for it's tuner features is it analog if you use the buffer or does it convert to digital when you have the buffer on?
If I understand what you are saying I think you may be misunderstanding… it doesn’t pitch ship your guitar, it compensates for Capo’ed or down tuned guitars. I’ve never used features like that because I just get confused on what the notes actually are 🤣
I personally prefer the Sonic Research Turbo tuner or the Peterson but I think a lot of people will prefer the features of the Walrus. If you need tempered tunings the Peterson is the way to go for sure!
Yeah, I’m wondering if other tuning options will come in the future via update with the USB-C. I use a Peterson for my pedal steel because you can input different tunings.
@@MichaelWWestbrook even my Peterson clip-on I use on my bass has the tuning parameters. Until the Canvas gets an update, Tom Anderson owners will not be early adopters.
I'm sorry but for real. Polytune 3 has all the same features but at a lower price and no issues with power... Do you really need a cool sreen to tune your guitar?
a lot of realy dosent matter futures, simpel is better and do the job, precision not special better than others, so fancy dont make it better, a buffer would be better than all the fancy shit.🙂
@@MichaelWWestbrook well you did not tell about the buffer. And yes people choose different, and some just want to Pay for a good tuner, and nothing more. 😉
Versatility makes it usable for everyone no matter their preferences. They were clearly going for "whatever YOU want from your tuner, this will provide." But that necessarily means it's going to be able to also do what you don't want.

Set lists
I use mine for set lists and to make my bandmates laugh on stage 😂 I really like the timer feature they added too
Very cool. Thanks for the video dude!

This is pretty neato. Great job Walrus team!
At that price, it should include a Multiband EQ, and Boost Pedal features to make it really useful, and save space on a Pedalboard.
... and a noise gate 😎
@@heikohesse4666 Definitely 👍
Okay.....how does it actually work, as, y'know, like, a tuner? Is it accurate? Fast? Repeatable? Good enough for doing intonation?
How do you use it live with just one Swich ? for example you play one song and you have the Tuner Mode...but the next song you want to use the Transpose Mode, (but you on stage and the pedal is is the pedalboard)
You’d have to reach down and change the settings
Now I just need someone to figure out how to mod this into a Dunlop mini volume pedal haha
Very cool!! My only concern is 300ma power. But that's not a deal breaker.
True Temperament Tunings???
I’m assuming at some point they will add these via update or at least the ability to add user specified tunings. It seems like the ability to do that is built in but not really set up yet

How Precise is it compared to the other Great pedal tuners that we all have been using for years.?
Plus or minus 0.1 cents - same as a Peterson!

@@MichaelWWestbrooknot everybody has a power supply that powerful
I’ve tested it and it takes about 80ma

Also… it’s not converting to digital- my assumption is that it is splitting the signal to the digital tuner so analog stays analog
@@MichaelWWestbrook, Ok that is good to know.
Have you tested it tuning to bass? Low b?
Put a clock/time keeper on it! @WalrusAudioEffects
They mentioned this on instagram I believe… said it complicates things ALOT. You would have to include a battery which changes a number of things
Would you recommend a Peterson over this?

@@MichaelWWestbrook Thanks man!
If they made a tap tempo pedal in this format it would be an instant buy for me. Haha
Good news, then. It's one of their fundamental series enclosures, and that delay has tap tempo.
/ducks/
(I know that's not what you meant)
Doesn’t look like you can input Buzz Feiten tuning parameters like you can on a Turbo Tuner.

Now Walrus need to make Selah Quartz Timer replacement in this kind of enclosure.
I must have slept for a long time, I thought it was the start of November, not April.
Looks like a much needed simplified version of the strobostomp.

300ma? Seriously? Big pass right there.
Interesting, $150.00 for a bunch of useless functions for me.

Too much consomption for a pedalboard and too much carbone emissions for the unnecessary display...
Guitarists, keep your good old tuners please 🙏
gogo tuner for $62 red you are out of tune green you are in
best tuner for smart people who know you don’t need to spend a lot to get a lot
The best feature is the orientation option. The rest is kind of ho-hum, especially the strobe mode display. The pic thing is a bit of fun. 300 ma? 🫤
