Your top 20’s are always great even if I haven’t smelled half of them! My favorites for this summer are Guerlain L’homme Ideal Cologne, Dior Homme Cologne, ADP Bergamotto Di Calabria, Zegna Acqua Di Bergamotto, JV Artisan Pure, 24 Ice Gold, Eau De Rochas and Guerlain AA Herba Fresca.
I would add Mugler's Pure Energy and Banana Republic's Vintage Green. They are appropriate for summer and Sebastian approves of both! I also enjoy Aqua Fahrenheit for work and L'Homme Ideal Cologne for casual wear. All 4 are cheapies. I wanted to like Tous Man Sport but there is something very outputting about it to me.
The fragrance I'm currently over the moon about this summer is John Varvatos Artisan Pure. The lemon and clementine over the woody white musk makes it an awesome summer frag!

That's true about Chanel AHSEE, I wore it in summer at night but the heat overwhelmed it and I didn't get much out of it. However, wearing it in Spring, Autumn, even Winter (if it's not too cold), is when it really shines

I wore a lot un jardin sur la lagune and under the lemon trees in May. I really love these 2. I just wish I bought a bigger bottle of under the lemon trees (I have the 10ml try on version) ... I'm a great fan of Jean Claude Ellena's work and I was a bit anxious about this new garden by Christine Nagel. Usually her fragrances are really hit or miss for me. And I was really relieved when I tried this Un jardin sur la lagune. I was immediately transported to a mediterraneen garden. I was walking through the blooming trees and flowers. Funny enough I smelled orange blossom and jasmine. I had this impression but I'm not even sure they enter really in the composition. Then as I was getting some woody notes I started going down a stone staircase and walked to the beach. I clearly see mediterraneen sea here maybe south of France, Italy or Corsica. For me this one could be named also Un jardin sur la méditerranée. But I get what you mean when you talk about pond. I think that the inspiration behind this perfume was Venise so this olfactive transcription is clearly a success !

I cannot really see Guerlain Vetiver Extreme as a summer scent: it is very smoky with only a few nuances from the original Guerlain Vetiver. Or do I have the reformulated version?
Dear Sebastian; i've been using Mercedes Benz Cologne isntead of Dior Homme Cologne. The fragrance it´s pretty much the same smell, but it lasts a few more hours than Dior. Alberto Morillas signature to Mercedes Benz. And check the Intense version too. A lighter version of Dior Fahrenheit.
I have become a fan of Hermes. I have Un Jardin Sur Le Toit and love it for summer. I’ll have to check out the D,orange Verte you mentioned. Gentleman by Givenchy sound interesting too. Thanks!

As summer approached, I tried to find a citrus, and since I'm still working my way through the classics, I purchased decants of two from my favorite house - Guerlain: Eau de Cologne Imperiale and Eau de Cologne du Coq. I could wear both on a hot summer day, but I prefer Eau de Cologne du Coq. Being colognes, neither have much longevity. However, I ordered a mini of Guerlain's Eau de Guerlain which has an EDT concentration. This fragrance was launched in 1974, and I can't find information about reformulations, but the label on my mini is not the same as the current label, so it could be an older formulation. Still, it is a very nice summer fragrance that does not smell like anything at the department store counter. I can see why Luca Turn and Tania Sanchez included it on their Best Masculines and Best CItrus Top Ten lists in Perfumes: The A-Z Guide. I intend to purchase a 100 ml bottle and hope that the current formulation is the same or similar to the mini I have. Sebastian, you always include classics in your videos. If you haven't tried Eau de Guerlain, please purchase a decant or mini, especially ones with the older label and let me know what you think. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I hated Mont Blanc Explorer the first time I smelled it about five months ago. A few days ago I got a sample of Aventus and smells almost exactly like Explorer so yes. I do NOT like it at all. Silver Mountain Water and Virgin island Water are better Creed fragrances IMO!💯

Also, I would have to exclude Mont Blanc Explorer...nice fragrances, but it's something like the 200th Aventus clone and I don't another - LOL! Cheers!
My ‘Encre Noire Sport’ came in today and I am *genuinely* surprised by how much I loved it((!!!)) in spite of the already positive reviews. This is my 4th fragrance in 2 months and I have you [and Ashley] to thank for my budding collection of fragrances!! I also have a question-How long do you think it’ll take before the ‘Gentleman Givenchy Cologne’ becomes available at discounters? P.S. My previous purchase before EN Sport was the Gentleman EdP, also thanks to your channel!
Awesome re ENCRE NOIRE SPORT. Generally 6 or so months is a good time frame to find fragrances at the discounters. Unless a fragrance doesn't do so well and they have a backlog of them and they need to move it.
I guess one of the things that everyone understands but doesn't consider is that the smell of the cologne will alter according to one's own body chemistry. For example, if a cologne is light and citrusy , it doesn't mean that it will automatically smell that way on the user. Colognes are always hit or miss which probably explains why most folks have elaborate collections of assorted bottles and varieties. Seems to me these days men don't wear cologne or dress up fancy like they used to in this country. I don't even see the usual ads for the everyday colognes that they used to advertise in the past - Old Spice, Aqua Velva, High Karate , English lather, etc. Also, remember back in the day in the old timey barbershops when they would apply the finishing touches? They would grab a large bottle of some red fluid ( standard barbershop fragrance ) , dash about a tablespoon of it into their hands and slather it all over you face and neck ? Clean , cool, and refreshing finale to the haircut experience. Gone are those days , eh ?
Seb I've been looking for JPG fragrance review from your channel but I can't seem to find one. If you have a chance, can u review the JPG line. I fell in love with Le Male when I shopped but didn't buy it right away because I want to know the other flankers as well. Also, JPG are usually summer fragrances, right? 😊

Refreshing to see Sauvage isn't mentioned (at least not taking a place in the top 20) as I also prefer the more softer fragrances. I will be wearing Prada l'Homme, Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme, Cedrat Boise and one, which I still have to buy (and not decided on).
Another great video like we used to get from you Sebastian 😊 I have a small collection of summer fragrances but some are for extremely burning HOT weather and those are Mugler Cologne, gentian Blanche from Hermes , Higher by Dior and Gant . All these give you a fresh out of the shower feeling 😍❄️💦
Tell them - most do consider Maison Martin Margiela to be niche . I would not dare wearing Encre Noire Sport in high heat. SOTD is Orange Sanguine by Atelier Cologne
+ I'm interested in purchasing Mugler's Cologne. But I cannot get over the recurring comparisons to Irish Spring Soap. I hateeeeeee that soap with a fiery passion. And if indeed Mugler's Cologne smells adjacent to that. I'd like to skip it.

I think it probably helps keep the light off them and a little more stable temp. I keep mine in the box , a dark cool place is probably fine but I'm a little ocd

Very nice list...familiar with most, but I'll to check-out a few of the newer ones. Encre Noire Sport is good addition since it's so much more wearable than the original. Also, I would have to exclude Mont Blanc Explorer...nice fragrances, but it's something like the 200th Aventus clone and I don't another - LOL! Cheers!

My ‘Encre Noire Sport’ came in today and I am *genuinely* surprised by how much I loved it((!!!)) in spite of the already positive reviews. This is my 4th fragrance in 2 months and I have you [and Ashley] to thank for my budding collection of fragrances!!
I also have a question-How long do you think it’ll take before the ‘Gentleman Givenchy Cologne’ becomes available at discounters?
P.S. My previous purchase before EN Sport was the Gentleman EdP, also thanks to your channel!
Awesome re ENCRE NOIRE SPORT. Generally 6 or so months is a good time frame to find fragrances at the discounters. Unless a fragrance doesn't do so well and they have a backlog of them and they need to move it.
I guess one of the things that everyone understands but doesn't consider is that the smell of the cologne will alter according to one's own body chemistry. For example, if a cologne is light and citrusy , it doesn't mean that it will automatically smell that way on the user. Colognes are always hit or miss which probably explains why most folks have elaborate collections of assorted bottles and varieties.
Seems to me these days men don't wear cologne or dress up fancy like they used to in this country. I don't even see the usual ads for the everyday colognes that they used to advertise in the past - Old Spice, Aqua Velva, High Karate , English lather, etc.
Also, remember back in the day in the old timey barbershops when they would apply the finishing touches? They would grab a large bottle of some red fluid ( standard barbershop fragrance ) , dash about a tablespoon of it into their hands and slather it all over you face and neck ? Clean , cool, and refreshing finale to the haircut experience. Gone are those days , eh ?

You are referring to the PARFUM from 2012 that's myrrh heavy. This is the EDT the original! :)

Seb I've been looking for JPG fragrance review from your channel but I can't seem to find one. If you have a chance, can u review the JPG line. L’eau de issey by Issey Miyake is a perfect summer fragrance and is long lasting too.
Refreshing to see Sauvage isn't mentioned (at least not taking a place in the top 20) as I also prefer the more softer fragrances. I will be wearing Prada l'Homme, Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme, Cedrat Boise and one, which I still have to buy (and not decided on).
How is cedrat boise ? I am about to pull the trigger on that and lemon line

I have a small collection of summer fragrances but some are for extremely burning HOT weather and those are Mugler Cologne, gentian Blanche from Hermes , Higher by Dior and Gant . All these give you a fresh out of the shower feeling 😍❄️💦

Tell them - most do consider Maison Martin Margiela to be niche . I would not dare wearing Encre Noire Sport in high heat.

Gin & Tonic by Art De Parfum has the cucumber note in it. Try that. Coconut you can try Creed VIW.
Try Gorse from Laboratory Perfumes. It’s a great coconut with much better performance than VIW. Mr. Smelly has a solid review.

I think it probably helps keep the light off them and a little more stable temp. I keep mine in the box , a dark cool place is probably fine but I'm a little ocd
