Top rate in Ohio @ Fedex Freight is $34.11 and 78 cents per mile. We get paid 30 minutes to hook or drop a set and 15 minutes to fuel. Paid hourly for all delay at meet points and for break downs.
When you graduate they should have you do a week in the city and a week on linehaul so you're trained for both. I've never done city but I love linehaul. Great job
@germanictribesman1985 Thank you. Yes, after my 5 weeks of training. I've one week of city driver and one week of Linehaul training. I'm leaning towards linehaul. I'll settle for the city. I could always do a linehaul run on the weekends.
Nice video man. I’m an abf freight linehaul driver. We got a 3.50 raise and by end of contract it’s overall a 10 dollar raise in the nest five years. I have ALOT of content available
I left Saia last August from the SAC terminal, but when I left for Linehaul it was about $41/hr for all driving time and I think about $28/hr for all “on duty not driving” time, which included pre/post trip, fueling, drop/hook, waiting and any other work related activity that wasn’t driving.
@@hurt1704 I got a job with my local county doing garbage collection. The commute from my house to the yard was only 10 minutes at most, usually only about 7. Fedex Freight driver here. We got a raise last October. Currently make 75CPM, and $33.12 an hour (Eastern Washington State). Haven't heard anything about another raise this year. Since I started with this company we have been getting 2 bonuses a year. Our drivers that took a voluntary furlough earlier this year are now back to work
$35.50 top pay in Seattle right now on city I believe it’s the highest in the country cause I’ve seen California only offers $35.00 top pay on the city side according to workday when you look up the available jobs
Mark I am sorry to hear of the 3% raise. The negative is you are falling behind with inflation unless the mileage really boosts the rate of increase extremely high. It would be nice to see hear a Breakdown of the 401-K and why you think that was lacking. Educating everyone on that important benefit will highlight the need for the younger professional drivers to participate. Thank you.
I don’t expect anyone to get a 9% raise. That’s what it would take to keep up with inflation. Everyone’s 401K has lost approximately 20% in the last 2 years due to this administration’s caused inflation. That’s why I’m upset about that.
@@MarksTruckingLife Lol..Stay steady on the 401-K contributions. You look like you have another 20 years to work and it will be much higher when your time comes. Yes, a very good pay raise. I've 2 weeks left in Saia Driving Academy. I'm really leaning towards line haul if there is an opening.
