I had an abortion in Ft. Lauderdale in 1983 during first trimester. My OBGYN insisted it was necessary because of ovarian tumor the size of a grapefruit. Life was in danger, no chance for healhy pregnancy. Next week, had tumor and right ovary removed because it was severely infected. What would happen to young woman like that there this year?

The next period is due in 4 weeks but could be late, you don't run to the doctor every time you're late. After 6 weeks, you start to question if you're pregnant. Then start feeling symptoms by 8 weeks or so.
