It's too convenient for Americans to buy as many companies in other countries as they want and not allow them to be bought. What we do while claiming a free economy is no different than socialism or communism.
This is the video everyone should see regardless of what side they're in. There were a few moments where I almost cried. The more stories I read about this deal the more I love these "steel people" -- they're so adorable! Not many people emphasize this but if US Steel's facilities will produce less pollution because of this merger then it's a no brainier -- less pollution for the local, for surrounding, for the world. We want that for our children.
I wish the company had made everyone watch this in a safety meeting. Our little part of the union is so brainwashed, they don't even realize it's their fellow union brothers needing this investment and needing our support. I'm so sorry we didn't hear you in time. Please don't let us go to cliffs.
I'm glad that people involved in the long-established manufacturing industry in the United States trust the Japanese company this much. Regardless of the outcome, in any way, I hope that the interests of the local people and community will be protected first and foremost, and our great ally country continue to be great.
Most of y'all under the recommendation of your union leaders opted to put into office a union buster and it serves you right if he blocks this sale and your industry goes under because you voted for it. 😂😂😂
History is sort of repeating its self here. US steel was woefully behind the curve on modernization in the 70’s, then in the early 80s everything fell apart. This new mill they need should have done a while ago.
Not happening. Theyve been abandoned by BO and JB, no arguing that but change is coming. Held on for those years that they were abandoned, couple more months to see that change become reality shouldnt be a problem.
So are you saying that just watching one of the most fabled U.S. companies go down the drain more American than accepting help to save it from one of our most-trusted allies? If USS remains American, its future won't be bright.
No US steel should remain in American 🇺🇸 control selling US Steel is a national security issue if we were to sell US Steel to Japan then Japan will deny the American military the steel it needs to build tanks, planes, and war ships.

Because David Mccall is a racist.
They've always claimed, "Japanese market is so closed! Get rid of non-tariff barriers!!".
So, what's happening then?
Hahaha…ha
I agree.

Yeah for you and the CEO and the shareholders, and lets not forget the union bosses. 😮
So much of this rammed down our throats

#BestDealForUSSteel !
I’m not sure wether this deal is good or not .. Trump will most likely stop this deal by executive order

US STEEL please explain why this is the best deal?? Why no talk of a Granite City Works investment
Granite City is finished, where have you been. Just like Great Lakes.
A Japanese tire company bought Dunlop tires in Buffalo, NY. And then closed it down. If USS isn't losing money, fix the issues and don't sell it.😢
Others people’s money movie 🍿
Hmmm!?
Selling to Japan is not American and they should not take the deal

And why would they do that? Aight then Japan ain’t an ally
This guy is a fool without Gary Works, Mon Valley wouldn't even exist anymore. Gary Works today is their flagship facility.
Talking alot of BS. #14 BF at Gary Works will never be modernized because the hearth is to small for the true capacity of that #14 BF
