I am English and Mark is 100% spot on with his recommendations and tips! One thing I must emphasise is that not all pubs are great at food , some are more drinking pubs . Check trip advisor/ ask the locals depending on what you want and prioritise getting a Sunday roast above everything else! Good food pubs get very busy so booking is a must, especially if you are a family or group of 4+. I always enjoy your videos Mark, and this one was very entertaining to watch from a British perspective! Enjoy your Sunday roasts everyone !
Mark, all that British pub food sounded great, I’m drooling here. I don’t think I’ll make it back to England anytime soon, but all the pub food and amazing especially the sun roast. That was Sunday. Rose sounds delicious.
The small plates is more to help with the British heavy drinking culture. Often if people are drinking in groups you would get a small dish to help soak up the alcohol without the awkwardness of people having a full meal.
Granted I stayed in a very touristy part of London, but I asked if there were any good pubs in that area and I was told that most pubs in London were bought up by companies so the food isn't that great anymore. It made me sad but I rode around on the bus and didn't see any real pubs meant for grabbing food. I did see a couple of places that looked more like bars. Now Edinburgh had pubs!

if you ever get anywhere near Preston, near Manchester. Try a Butter pie. Also if your in Wigan near Manchester, the pies are amazing.
Last time I was in England, I ate at The Slaughtered Lamb. Their Wolfsbane Martini will knock you on your a$$ ! 🐺🐺
Wow. Chicken Tikka Masala Pie! Never heard of it. I must have this. Mmmmmmm
My supplementary recommendation to get 1700 calories: Have 8+ beers and try to remember your way back to your hotel.
Wetherspoons is great ❤
