Never seen a Duramax with factory head studs
Stock head bolts aren't really the issue with the lly. It's the terrible headgasket's that notoriously fail.
How about getting a diesel Chevy Colorado
If you wanted to with hauling the mini max you could back it up a little to take some weight off the tow rig cause a goose neck doesnt need alot of tounge weight like a bumper hitch does. But you still could go to far back a little playing around with the position wouldn't hurt
You should make the enthuzst logo longer
the LLY's headstud issues from factory are like 50/50 if you've had your truck over 150K miles or it has successfully held 400hp+ for awhile then any headgasket issues are not going to have anything to do with it specifically being an LLY vs just needing to stud your motor. I say this as someone who has owned two LLY's and currently pushing 500hp+
Its not the head bolts that generally go but the flawed head gasket design is why they fail. But with the higher boost there’s only so much extra they can hold before studs are needed
Paul Omalley the gaskets and the crappy torquing procedure, there’s a tsb for 01-early 06 trucks having crimped gaskets with the crap torque procedure

Tune 5 on the dyno isn’t gonna hurt the truck... pulling a big load on tune 5 would hurt it..
Easy for people to say that who don't have to pay for it when the head studs let go lol .. there's no way to be sure when it would finally let go so he's playing it safe considering he has a lot of events to go to that's the smart thing to do and we all know that truck would already be fun as hell
