From that video it does look like you a little far back and could just move your weight forwards a bit which would naturally add a bit more weight on the front. :)

Paul you should ride a hardtail because it will help you use your 200mm of travel on your legs and you will become smooth and faster on a big enduro bike.

Great tip. And switch beck every now and then. Just to remind yourself, that you're part of the suspension too, so you don't make the bike do ALL the work...even though it can do a LOT of it :)

I rearely, if ever, write comments, but here I definitely learned a lot. These pros are clearly at a level that they can explain things, which actions have what consequences, and break them down into absorbable pieces. In my opinion this is the best video I've seen from you, Paul. Thanks

This is absolutely fantastic! One of the best general riding tutorials on TH-cam I would say!
For me personally I try to think of myself and my bike as two separate units. I sort of need to hover down the trail and my bike is a tool that will keep me on my path when it is positioned right. In order to do so I try to actively „disconnect“ the axis of my seattube and the axis of my spine. The cornering practice from your last video does wonders for this :)

That was an amazing video. It's easy for us to find some pretty good basics from other videos about dropping a foot, opening up our hips in the corners, body bike separation. On the other hand, this video is some next level riding instructions from Miranda and Remi!!! Definitely the things that most of us advanced riders need to improve our riding game. I'm bookmarking this video to work on these points when I can get out riding again!

"Filling the hole" That is so good... I am going to use that. I always show people vids of a top pro supercross rider hitting the whoops and how their head stays completely still. On the MTB trail it is hard to explain that sometimes. Filling the hole will help, I believe.

Spend time on a DJ bike at the pump track and all this will come together unbelievably well. The pump track has been the best training for my mountain biking. It has improved my ability to read the trail, find flow and rhythm by pumping holes and rolls, rail corners with speed and power, and jumping with confidence. Plus, you can spend a ton of time sessioning one spot/feature and focusing on a single skill or technique at a time.

I think Paul nailed it when he said every office worker can relate to this.
It’s not just about technique, it’s about having the shoulder, core glute and quad muscles you can use.
If you are a weekend biker who has spent the last 20 years in an office 5 days a week tapping a computer, it’s a lot of work to reverse the muscle wasting effects of that.

I also feel that it might be a bad habit taken from roadies. I am going to try practice thinking about starting turns with my knee and trying to reset to a neutral position after the turn. Probably get hate for saying this but I utterly changed my shoulder / back posture from years sitting at a desk.... by taking up golf. I now get up from my desk every hour during the day and do push ups ( I work at home luckily). As far as thought process, I'm no pro rider but what always made me faster on a bike (motox or mtb) is to have a "ragdoll" mantra - just reminding me to stay loose and not fight the bike, let the bike do the work and maintain a strong core around which my limbs take up all the slack. Not sure if this follows the advice here but it works for me.

Good instruction video. I watched some pro XCO videos and I noticed that there typically was little active engagement of their bodies on the flat or downhill sections of the race course unless there were features that required it. Definitely a lot on the uphill portions. Perhaps Miranda and Remi have some insight on this. Perhaps it is because the XCO racers typically don't have dropper posts so they are unable to active engage their hips, arms, etc. to the same extent. Or maybe because the downhill portions are used to recover ?
