Hi Mason just subbed to your channel learning a lot I am a journeyman heavy equipment mechanic my dad taught me what I know so far and I am already reading books and service manuals on different types of equipment thanks for sharing be blessed happy holidays
Thanks for sharing Mason, nice job ! Too bad he didn’t do oil sampling he would have picked up excess fuel dilution early on maybe have prevented a failure! Just saying sometimes it helps! Thanks for sharing hope all is going well! Take care now have a good week bud !👍
Just had one a Cummins V16 cylinders . Smoking on right hand bank . But funny thing it idles pretty decent. Customer put 8 injectors on it still smoking . We show up ck valve lash and all exhaust were tight (clue #1) reset lash still smoking . Pulled injectors and air tested cylinder and would not hold air ,it was coming out the exhuast. Pulled 1 head and the exhuast valve had sunk into the head and the valve seat was gone . Today's young techs have a hard time diagnose a mechanical failure like the one your showing Boils down to ,do you know the root cause ?
