Yep one of them is Ben Sliney. In fact, September 11, 2001 was his first day as a managerial position of the FAA. His decision to force all planes to land could have cost him his job but I think it was the best decision, hindsight. At the time, they didn't know how many more planes would be hitting buildings.

One of the very few movies I struggle to watch. The tension building as the camera puts you amongst the passengers who are slowly piecing together what's really going on as information trickles in
And the scene just before the passenger attack when the music goes completely silent. My heart was pounding...

It's still hard as Hell to watch the movie (I cried when I saw it in theatres when it was released), but I watch the film entirely EVERY Sept. 11! That way, I will never forget! And yes, Greengrass is a revolutionary film director, and I will forever regard him as the greatest of our time. Thank you, sir.

My nightmare on this ending was incredibly intense. I had already planned for the passengers to attack and that’s how I redeemed Zaid in the first place and that’s when became in love just moments before United 93 crashed; Zaid’s last “No!” hurts because he refused to let me die but we were both very lucky to survive everything; i had severe injuries to my wrist and I was bleeding everywhere and the amount of pain I felt was unbelievable so, zaid had to find a way to get me out of the area where United 93 crashed. We both managed to walk a very long way but then, i started feeling weak and I finally collapsed to exhaustion; telling Zaid i couldn’t go on no more was gut wrenching because he knew very well I was dying, I almost got to say my dying words to him but he knew what I was about to say and it was very hard for Zaid to accept that I was no longer going to be by his side because I was the only one who was able to calm him down in such situations but now he has to deal with it himself. I predicted my next nightmare would be the immediate aftermath of my death and how zaid coped afterwards and I’m telling you now, he did not cope whatsoever at first but he does find a way eventually

United 93 has to be the most terrifying nightmares I’ve ever experienced; the emotional moment of the movie was probably when I told Ziad what was happening and the frustration he felt was truly real and Ziad knew that he had to protect me from this kind of situation, it was so heartbreaking to see Ziad blaming himself for what’s happening but I told Ziad it wasn’t his fault. It was so devastating to watch him crying. At least we both got the brave passengers together to try landing the plane safely, but Ziad was overpowered by the other hijackers and that caused him in crashing United 93. Every nightmare got very tense each time seeing how Ziad copes with the losses of me and the passengers, I hated the last scene when Ziad turned evil again because of everything he lost, this makes me feel bad for Ziad during the movie itself

I watched this movie yesterday and it's really good. When you see these guys get on the airplaine you, as a viewer, already know its their last trip, but the real people, at the time, didn't know that. And that's really terrible and saddening. And at the same time intruiging, because nobody will ever truely know what happened on this plane, or all the planes for that matter.
Definitely one of the biggest tragedies that happened. And I'm from Belgium, where we had our airport in Brussels blown up by terrorists. That makes you think back to 9/11.

I'm almost glad that Flight 93 came out earlier, maybe it gave Greengrass a clearer picture, especially of what NOT to do with this movie. And perhaps it made him obligated to deliver the film that the people and the story deserved, to make up for that atrocity of movie. Overall, absolute masterpiece, best film to come out of that entire tragedy, by far

The ending is so hard to watch knowing what’s going to happen. I had a feeling that Zaid redeemed himself knowing what he did wrong and tried to get the plane up whilst he was panicking like hell. Exactly what happened in my nightmares towards the end, Zaid notices me struggling with the plane but it still crashed no matter how hard he tried it. The most heartbreaking moment of my dream was me trying to say my last dying words to him but he warned me “Don’t say anything, if you talk you’ll die!” I talked anyway trying to get my words out to him and i suddenly died. 24 hours later, Zaid still remained by United 93 until he decided to do something about it and it wasn’t going to end well for him. That nightmare was tragically horrible

From a cinematic point of view, it should be remembered that Greengrass is a documentary film maker by trade. There is a great tradition in the UK -which Hollywood never really seems to have grasped- of gritty social-realist screen documentary, later dramatised. It shows here; this is exactly what you would see if you were actually there. Unfortunately American film-makers just don't get this approach; I wish they would. It would be fascinating to see the Titanic incident filmed in this way.

I rewatched United 93 after the most terrifying nightmare I’ve had the night before and it hit totally different this time. I can’t imagine if my nightmares got into the movie and I’m so relieved they never did. I survived the crash fearing that Zaid could have died but he wasn’t; he decides to free me from the wrecked plane but I died right in front of him 5 minutes later. 24 hours after United 93’s tragedy, it was hauntingly tragic to see Zaid really struggling to cope with my sudden death and he completely loses it which I don’t blame him for losing it like that. It was tragic that none of the United 93 heroes survived when we did

I agree with everyone Greengrass did an amazing job on this film. The pacing is part of it - I thought the pause just before the counterattack started, where everybody from the terrorists to the passengers were praying, was particularly potent. Also, whoever did the music score has to take alot of credit too. Some of the scores just fill me with dread when they start up.

Easily one of the best films I have ever watched. Like The Passion of the Christ, it isn't so much enjoyable as it is emotionally intense. I dream of seeing more films shot in this manner. On television, Battlestar Galactica came pretty damn close to matching the style. Greengrass is to be commended for what he did to interpret history in the way that he did.
