I love Jason’s ability to be open and honest. He said he took a year to find a job and even mentioned a career switch after receiving his PhD. Not an easy thing to talk about!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I'm a freshly graduated dentist, and one of the first videos I came across from Dr Yoo was where you distracted a child and extracted a tooth at the same time! I've shown so many of my classmates this video and we all thought that it was amazing and something to aspire to. I am personally terrified of treating children, so if you did ever write a short book or have a short case analysis on your management of children, I'm sure many new grads and students would appreciate it!! Hearing your approach to it as finding a way to one-up the child is fascinating and hilarious 😂
Very cool hearing your career ambitions. And nice finally knowing what Jason does! Always knew he was in engineering but that was the extent of it I feel. Whereas I feel like John has always talked about his dentistry career
Oh you guys should totally play the card game We're Not Really Strangers, super fun to play with friends and others and you learn a lot about people on a deeper level. Great video as always, much love 😊
I changed my career because of you John, from working in psychiatric forensic for 18 years to now doing dental nursing, if I complete my Roe and pass my exam in April next year, I might just have a go at dental hygienist, due to my age it’s a bit late for dentist , did I make a good choice changing careers especially at my age ? Of course I did loving it, hard work but I just love it, I see dentistry as an art, one of the biggest reasons for changing was the volunteering, which I never realised until I saw your videos, so take responsibility John 😂 no just kidding, keep on inspiring guys you never know who’s watching 👍🏻🏴
It’s always great to hear both sides of this friendship from the patient care side of Dr. John and the office tech side of Jason. Both amazing careers and aspects of life excited to see what the future holds. Never knew Dr. John Yoo was a personal trainer on the side. Still waiting on that leg day video!
Lol John I will tell u. Pros and cons of being married to a dentist. Byron and I don’t talk about dentistry all the time but we totally understand when someone else had a bad day or a great day. And we let each other rant without judgement. It’s very therapeutic to understand the nature of each other’s work bc being a practice owner is not easy yo!
Liked this video! I am glad that both of u have a such big dreams.. especially Jason, the AI technology.🤘🤘sound cool... Can't wait to see, spouses of U guys... Hurry up guys... I am here to pray for u 2 ya..😜🤣🤣❣️❣️❣️
You guys are so inspiring. 😊 I am a new subscriber here and I think I have watched almost all your videos the past few days. For your next podcast/video, is it possible to talk about quarter life crisis? Have you ever experienced it? How do you handle failures? How do you cope with it and get back on track? Hope you guys notice this comment. 😊
Jason, that's cool. I wish that we can send texts or other methods to 911 when we can't call. What if someone's kidnapped, fallen and can't talk? Just sayin'. U both look dapper btw. And good luck on all your clinics, John! Cant wait to see u both grow. Great talk.
My favorite Doctors here!!! 🫰 Guys it is always a pleasure watching your videos you both are handsome, intelligent and hard working men. I wish you the best in your personal activites and remember the sky is the limit ✨ Love from Ecuador ❤️🇪🇨
John i really love the way you speak you are so nice and positive and make the other person feel good It's like when you say "thanks for mentionning that" or "i appreciate you" i dont know how to describe it but it's really wholesome the way you give so much love to everyone spontaneously (and especially jason😈 lol jk) You are outspoken with your feelings and gratitude and it's something i look up to and find to be a really attractive personnality trait (cuz i kinda lack it lol im not good with words)
Thank you for sharing. Next q&a: How did you know your career choice was the one? Was it always a “yes” I’m all for it or “let’s try and I will figure it out”? I’m doubting if my career choice is the right one for me. I want to continue education but have no idea what to choose as a focus. I think I have to find a passion again in something. 30 is life-changing haha…….it’s like a checkpoint where I’m reviewing my successes & failures.
I’m a dentist. I can definitely relate when John said he can talk with his fellow dentists for a long time. We dentists relate to each other’s pain & gain best 💪🏻😄 and oh, Jason’s job is sexy indeed. Intelligence is sexy 👍🏻
I work with kids too. And it makes me wonder, why they do what they do. They make me smile/laugh.. not in a way to ridicule them.. more like fascinates me. So yes I can relate to what you've said Dr John!
It's nice to know the ins and outs of your profession and what motivated you to begin your careers in that field! Understandably couples who work in the same profession can relate to one another and would have more to talk about..I work in the medical field and see this as a commonality where couples are prevalent. Love your first podcast, your humor, and funny comments! Looking forward to seeing more!👍😊🥰👏
What a pity just found your podcast channel with this wit & humor discussion! Hope you guys can be back soon!! (More updates please) Love from Taiwan :)
Welcome Back. Ah so nice and cool chat. Ah it is so nice to have dreams job that you love and motivate you a lot. I used to be a ballet dancer, since I was young and went to the Royal Academy Of Dance for auditions. My leg was broken during the dance and I lost my dreams. But I never give up and move on to find others dreams to motivate me again, as I finally able to study music when I was 16. I love playing the piano able to express my feelings through music. I have my first recital at 20. This year after 17-03 was my 22nd birthday and looking back I am happy and fortunate to have dreams again after my failure. Watching your videos is so nice and cool 🌷🍀
working with kids at any age is TOUGH. you need a ridiculous amount of patience and compassion espeically if you feel like theyre being little brats when in reality there's always a reason!!!! im glad you have it in you to treat kids and try to work with them and help them.
Hey John, totally agree that even if it's just one slap or hit, it's an automatic red flag. Pediatrics patients are the cutest! They say it as it is and it's always fascinating handling them. I learn a lot about myself when treating them and I love that with your skills, you're giving back to the community. Everyone deserves good quality health care regardless of their financial status. I'm all for universal health care but sadly this world does not work that way.
I totally agree what John said about kids, that's one of the reasons I used to work with kids over 10yrs. Now I got a new challenge job tho. Good to know! Engineering is very attractive to people like me works in different field 👍🏻
JASON IS HILARIOUS! “She slaps you once a week” “in bed?? 👀” I’M DEAD 😆 I love the mix of banter and serious convos about your careers and love lives ❤️
It takes alot for a "big human" to want to and take the time to understand a "tiny human" in order to help them. I commend you Dr. Yoo! Mr. Jason engineer, hope you're analyzing helps! Violence is a definite no. Also, I think a red flag will be acknowledged depending on the extent of the self work one has done. Does that make sense? Haha Love the content!
As expected, you were able to offer your best sincere and deepest thoughts through this video/podcast, while answering such deep and private questions! 😝 Extraordinary interaction, definitely resulting from a sincere friendship, which is so rare and delightful to observe these days.🤩 I've set high hopes and expectations for your future podcasts with friends.🔝 Hopefully, both of you'll find the right "tools" to discover the better half in your lives (even if it's a type of surprising doctorate housewife with steamy skills) ♨ Best of luck to you both 🙏🤞🍀✨🔥🌈💯😁🤓
Well, John, learning about a child's behavior is not easy. lol However, the interesting part is how they think. You will learn about their background and so much more. You will understand their behavior when you learn about what is in their mind. I went to school for Criminology- Forensic Behavioral Science and a lot of the courses were in the psychology side, so we learned about neuroscience and cognitive neuroscience, etc. in order to learn why criminals (okay! not just criminals) behave the way they do. I also worked at a behavioral health facility for 3 years working with juveniles (in the juvenile justice system or CPS, etc., various mental illnesses) and I tried to pick on their brains a little to see how their cognitive functions work. The sad part is their behavior starts at a young age. But, in this case, your clients are toddlers (?) only??? Jason, you are working on an awesome project. I hope it becomes something we use in the near future. Technology is definitely growing. :) I did a sit-along with a dispatcher, a ride-along with a police officer, and the CSI unit years ago, and I think they could use an update on their system. lol The answer to the question from the video... Domestic violence is always a NO. Also, when children are involved, it may lead to children in the system and that is not the way to go in this world.
As a fellow dentist, def agree with a lot of points that John talked about haha. Looking at people’s teeth even on dates is definitely an occupational side effect lmao. Counter to what Jason said, I feel like I take the work home with me all the time, always brewing on what I could’ve done better, etc. because at the end of the day… you’re working on a person, so there’s a big desire to provide the best care (aka not f up lol)
My personality is the exact same as Jason's (like a scientist of life), so we're not compatible but I'd love to have an intellectual conversation with y'all 😩 I think that's what John meant when he said he likes talking to other dentists, the intellectual stimulation.
Love the podcast. It was great. The questions were interesting . Neither one of you guys needs a sugar mommas. lol What you need to do in order to meet the right mate is to be open to other hard working people that surround you every day. Don't go to the girls on the opposite end of the spectrum career wise. Dr. Yoo why not try dating a nurse or a Physical therapist. In that way you can both support each other as workers in the healthcare industry while still discussing different topics about how your day went. Dr. Ki why not try to date a front desk ( receptionist ) at a health care clinic. I say that because when discussing their day with you they could tell you how many people they actually talk to . Believe it or not they actually preform simple statistical task every day. Caution they don't make much money however, the conversation about how they day went will be very numerical analytical. Plus you will see a different side to healthcare. Sometimes you have to look at people common belief values and not common cultural beliefs. eg you work hard, they work hard, you play hard, they play harder. lol However, that being said slow and steady wins the race to get to your end goal and not necessarily the girl your mom what to hook you up with just because she has known her since she was five and you all played in the sand box together. lol
My daughter works in a dentistry office with children and one thing she said that makes sense, is: "To understand a child you have to experience with your own." She's also an expert with special needs children, her techniques are always praised by parents.

Jason, you are working on an awesome project. I hope it becomes something we use in the near future. Technology is definitely growing. :) I did a sit-along with a dispatcher, a ride-along with a police officer, and the CSI unit years ago, and I think they could use an update on their system. lol
The answer to the question from the video... Domestic violence is always a NO. Also, when children are involved, it may lead to children in the system and that is not the way to go in this world.
Nice conversation guys...
As a fellow dentist, def agree with a lot of points that John talked about haha. Looking at people’s teeth even on dates is definitely an occupational side effect lmao. Congrats on Podcast guys! I’ve added you to my list!
You guys are hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂
My personality is the exact same as Jason's (like a scientist of life), so we're not compatible but I'd love to have an intellectual conversation with y'all 😩 I think that's what John meant when he said he likes talking to other dentists, the intellectual stimulation.
Hi John, can you drop your skincare? Your skin is glowing.
Dr. Ki why not try to date a
front desk ( receptionist ) at a health care clinic. I say that because when discussing their day with you they could tell you how many people they actually talk to . Believe it or not they actually preform simple statistical task every day. Caution they don't make much money however, the conversation about how they day went will be very numerical analytical. Plus you will see a different side to healthcare. Sometimes you have to look at people common belief values and not common cultural beliefs. eg you work hard, they work hard, you play hard, they play harder. lol However, that being said slow and steady wins the race to get to your end goal and not necessarily the girl your mom what to hook you up with just because she has known her since she was five and you all played in the sand box together. lol
So did I just watched the 1st episode of Open&TooOpen ? Couldn't remember anything else after too many opens at the end 🤣🤣🤣
