    agree with john for sure! the friendship dynamic changes after someone confesses and gets friendzoned... the girl will not be able to act exactly the same around him or be completely comfortable after she friendzones the guy friend.

  • @tatacathrina.9120
    @tatacathrina.9120 ปีที่แล้ว +44

    it will never be the same Jason, because for most girls if a boy friend or even her own best friend, says that, and if the girl doesn't feel the same way, then the probability the guy will lose his best girl friend is almost 100%, because to be honest that confession will make the friendship to be uncomfortable for the girl, and tbh the girl is afraid of hurting the boy and will choose to stay away and reduce her interactions as a friend because it is a burden to her, and she doesn't want to hurt her friend anymore, so because of that she will definitely stay away and maybe even disappear from his life forever

      i def see where you’re coming from :)) i’d just like to say that this doesn’t always have to be the case! i’ve had quite a few guy friends confess their feelings to me, but i didn’t feel the same way. initially it can be a bit awkward, but after some time and space, these friends are some of my closest friends (with no awkwardness or tension). it can be different for everyone and it’s up to you how you want to go about it afterwards

    I am dating my best friend now 😁. I didn't see the video until today, but I ended up just going for it shorty after I posted the comment. She didn't immediately accept me because she was shocked too, so I gave her some time. We just acknowledged what happened and kept going on with being friends like before. After a week or two, she brought it back up and confessed to me. Thanks for the advice, guys!

    Jason's unfiltered truth bombs are highlights of this video...he is being practical, vocal and dropping his PhD wisdom throughout the video ! More brownie points to Dr. Jason ! :) Things you said about friendship is absolutely true ...people come and go, but very few put an efforts to maintain the relationship(s). Things happens effortlessly with such people- even though there are a lot of transitions...it is the earnest feeling to be with them sails the ocean.

    My dad and I were very close. Though he's no longer here, I was always 500 percent daddy's girl. He was my solid oak tree, always backing me up. I worshipped him and growing up, he was my friend who made me laugh and a father when he felt I did something wrong. His whole life since he became a father was dedicated to doing things with us. Miss him every day and I think you will love having a daughter.

    It's interesting that both of you are so different in personalities but are best bros. Jason seems more easy going and empathetic, while John more cautious and logical. I think it helps that you both can agree to disagree without taking things to heart, and to be able to laugh (a lot) together. And yes, I agree with Jason that all relationships, whether platonic or romantic, takes work from both parties. Not in a negative way, but it takes time, effort and commitment to want to maintain and grow the relationship in spite of the different stages of life we may be in.
    PS: I really enjoy the channel contents. Keep up the good work, bros! 😊

    As an ESTJ woman, it is so interesting to hear Dr.John's thoughts, especially that E"N"TJ part because we are the same but at the same time so different! I am sometimes surprised by how deeply and emotionally Dr. Jason thinks about certain things too, especially as a man lol Also, I feel like both Jbros think and talk based on very "city" guys' perspectives on both Korean and American cultures. I am a Korean but lived in Arkansas for about 10 years from the age 10-20s, so I experienced both cultures very differently. I wish I can talk about these different things with JBros one day >_

    This was great! I actually agree with Dr. John about a friend confessing and then it being awkward for the girl, at least for some of us. I’d be worried about things being hard for him after that and would end up trying to curb my normal way of interacting with him. But I would also respect him for having the courage to say something and would try to work past it. Sometimes people become closer after a rejection, too, perhaps because there’s been more openness and honesty.
    I have to agree, too, that in general, friends should be understanding of each other. I have had to distance myself from some friendships because they had become detrimental on a consistent basis, but I think that if you’re truly someone’s friend that you should be compassionate and understanding.

    In regards to maintaining good friendships, I say maybe their love language is most important. My sister and I *best friend from high school* needs words of affirmation. At the most random times, I will remind her that she is important and loved and that she deserves to be here and deserves to experience wonderful things that life has to offer. I truly think that doing their love language is a great way to maintain friendships.

    I love this channel so much! I watch a episode while having dinner you guys are hilarious! I would like to answer the question when it comes to what to do like if a friend likes you what do you do or should you go for it? I Would say from a girls perspective that had a friend have a crush on me I encountered a few times in my life. I was always so nice to everyone at school really and I remember I was friends with a boy at school that was picked on a lot for how he looked and pretty much for his own being but was very kind and so I decided I would be his friend. Later on he told me he liked me and I instantly spaced myself from him, but noticed he was alone and notcied how much my friendship meant to him. Mind you im also in 7th grade at this time so ya know stuff like that really matters back then lol. But I decided that if I placed a boundary and he understood that and kept things like they were I would be ok with being his friend and so we did but I always knew in the back of my head he still really liked me but never tried the waters again and so it was fine.....As an adult I also had a friend and he never outright told me he liked me but everyone knew a tiny little niave crush he had on me and I think that when your friends with someone you must clearly like the same things, so for some people a natural liking of them happens but this friend also knew not only was I in a committed relationship but there was no way in hell there would be any chance of that happening respectfully HAHAH! I think for most women before someone even tells them they like them we have a inkling and as long as your respectful before and after you shoot your shot we can still be friends. As long as no boundaries are crossed and respect remains I think everyone has had a crush on their friend at least once in their life and never acted on it or was friendzoned....Thank you for your content

    Confession from a friend…. He is my friend and classmate since high school … I did experience that, I turn him down and explained to him that i can’t be romantically involved to him because I’m so far away like half way across the world and I feel like his a part of the family that I treasured since my group of friends in college form…. And still we are friends till now… he is happily living with his partner and I’m happy for him..

    Unfortunate that a woman's worth is determined by body count... etc....
    standards are insane. And the way a son and daughter are treated contributes alot to how a man will treat a woman and what a woman will tolerate. There's a whole lot more to this hahahahaha

    I don’t mean this in a condescending or judgmental way, but I think their hypothetical responses related to family and especially kids (how they would treat their daughters and the boyfriend for example) is funny…. As a 40 year old woman who now has a 2 year old…my responses as a new mom is very different than what I think I had imagined I would be like in my 30s. I guess my point is you won’t really know how you’ll behave or react to your child until you become a parent (and you will likely be very surprised). ❤
