Best thing was him immediately disrupting his shtick by giving his card so he couldn't create camera drama by stomping his foot and demanding the officer state his name and number.
There's nothing much he can do with " I'm officer so-and-so, badge number umpteen, the people who operate this facility want you to leave the premises and you have three minutes to comply or you will be arrested for criminal trespass."
It did affect his sentencing. It delayed it more. It appears he may have done this intentionally just for that exact reason.

He also got outed by someone else for lying to his subs. He's been claiming he was appealing his other convictions from the town of Sheriden. Turns out the dates for appeal have expired with no action taken. He's also apparently been heard making comments that he's not showing up for his required community service punishment either. The town of Sheriden and federal prosecutor's office do seem as if they are in contact with each other regarding DMA's antics.
From the citizen putting this clown on blast to the Officer handling DMA like the man-child he is and the ultimate arrest, this interaction couldn’t have gone any better.

Actually, if the management of the facility decides you are disrupting the business they can tell you to leave. This officer is rock solid. He gave you a time limit, you deliberately defied him so, so you would get arrested and try desperately to find an excuse to sue someone, anyone. DMA is as sad as all the other auditors. it is all about getting a quick windfall from some liberal, wimpy gov't agency that wants you to go away.
If you're deemed to be causing a disturbance you can be asked to leave, and then told to leave. And you can be trespassed. And if you fail to leave you can arrested for trespassing. The people who run the place have the right and obligation to keep their area safe for patrons.

Has any of these auditors ever released any reports about anything they have audited? They all say they are there gathering info for a report, everytime. Yet I have never seen any reports, ever.

When weighing sentencing options tomorrow, I hope the judge takes judicial notice that Cordova, DESPITE having been found guilty, CONTINUES to break the law for profit, and is utterly unrepentant. Under those circumstances, the judge might conclude that custodial sentence may be appropriate...
He cant... the only conduct relevant to sentencing is the current charge, and history of convictions. "He's an unrepentant jerkoff" is obviously accurate, but its not an aggravating or mitigating factor. @rcrawford42 you cannot be punished for "what you're likely to do tomorrow". You can have "a previous pattern of criminal behavior" be taken into consideration for your sentence. That means previous convictions count, current accusations don't, and your level of a-hole status is irrelevant. The presumption is you will be reformed into a functioning member of society by your punishment. Previous punishment not "curing" you means you likely need a sterner lesson. What you might do tomorrow if this punishment doesn't "cure" you can't be punished today.

He used this arrest to submit an addendum to the judge, asking for a more severe sentence.
Part of the federal sentencing guidelines is the acceptance of responsibility and rehabilitation - which is why a judge IS allowed and even encouraged to take post-arrest and post-conviction actions into consideration (such as an offender going to drug rehabilitation) before sentencing.
DMA's actions show that he neither takes responsibility for his actions, nor has been rehabilitated and is still engaging in the same antics - and the Judge absolutely can take that into account when sentencing.
A compilation of questions to ask any frauditor:
"Does your mommy know you're here?"
"Are there prescribed meds you should be taking?"
"What time are you due back from your day pass?"
"Are you having trouble finding the door?"
"Do you live in your car?"
"Are you on parole? I think I saw you on the news."
"The washroom is down the hall to the right. It's public you know. Take your camera."
"Is this for Show and Tell? Are you on a field trip? What grade are you in? What time does your bus leave?"
"Are you a comedien? Is this part of your act?"
"Do you regret not finishing school?"
"Have your feelings been hurt? You look very sensitive."
"One sec. I have to call the circus and see if they are missing any clowns."

Auditors who use the ploy of being "independent journalists gathering content for a story" and get arrested and convicted should be required to ACTUALLY PUBLISH a positive slant story as part of their sentence.
Publish any story. They always say they are working on a story but never release any story.

Problem with forcing the knucklehead to publish is the knucklehead would use the published work as proof of being an actual journalist for future endeavors. Alternative is to require the knucklehead to write a long essay with multiple primary and secondary sources to be filed with the court by a certain date. And when the knucklehead says he does not have a computer to write up the essay, remind him phones have word processors. And when he says don’t know how to type, there is always voice to text.
They wouldn’t need a computer, just a pen, some paper and maybe a dictionary and thesaurus. If they need to look up some information they can learn that a library is more than a place to record in.
