I know the comments here are old but what's all the hate about the VAs? Both women did an amazing job. I love how soft spoken they are, I can listen to them for hours.
Anyways, Inquisition is the first Dragon Age game I've played and when Hawke first came (I had the male Hawke) I had no idea who he was. Now I'm nearing the end and can't wait to play the previous games.

Her voice really doesn't match the aggressive tone, it's like watching a shy, passive person trying to act tough.

You know what makes me mad? They'll let us see our old Hawke, even let us custom make him/her, but they won't fucking give us the character we all fucking want to see when they clearly have the capability to do so. As long as you don't cast annoying voice actors the vast majority are going to be too star struck to care that our Warden can now speak rather than communicating telepathically with everyone. Does anyone else feel this way about this situation?
I STILL can't get Dragon's Keep to work....it pissed me off that we couldn't just import like Origins to DA2 or like they did with Mass Effect. I spent a ton of time creating different playthroughs that I could import only to find that I couldn't do it anyway. Only negative thing I have to say about the whole game.
ghanimajade I don't have any issues with the Keep. What's the problem? Just today I imported a new world state.
PotatoGirlProduction Yes! I love my Hawke but I don't think there's ANYbody who'd prefer them over their Warden if there was a choice. On the other hand I don't think they have the capabilities to deliver the Warden to anyone's satisfaction. Hawke has three possible personality sets. The Warden has far more variables for their peronality plus 6 possible different origins. I'd definitely be too starstruck to care that my Warden can suddenly speak. That wouldn't protect me from the utter disappointment when all that comes out of their mouth will make me think "That's not my Warden!" I already felt slighty alienated from how Hawke reacted to Adamant.
I want the next Dragon Age playing AS the Warden again... That would be a dream...
THtive 55 True, I did feel a bit alienated when I heard Hawke talk in this... Even so, I wish there was a way to make it happen if they aren't going to make them playable again. Maybe just a small cameo where all they do is say hi and be all wardeny. The Warden being playable would be a dream. I think Thedas has enough heroes at this point. Like, I get there shouldn't be one and only one, but devs, there shouldn't be 4 or 5 or however many heroes either. It stops being special when everyone's doing it :P Plus, I already have far too many romantic interests for one woman.

Ah a cameo would be such a tease... the good kind too ;) I already started up the chara creator a few times to recreate my timeskip Wardens. They would make the game so much more beautiful (even though my DAO was heavily modded). Alas... DLC?
