    my deskjet 1515 keeps giving me blank pages although my color cartridge is full, clean, and unclogged (i ran out of black, so removed it from the printer). i downloaded the print and scan doctor as shown in the video, but the app cannot communicate with my printer!
    the app detects the model, but after the first step, the "communicating" phase takes forever. it's been half an hour and it is still loading.... what can be the reason? i'm sure i have the latest drivers cause i downloaded the suggested one from your official website. using windows 11 64bit btw

    I couldn’t scan as e busy scanner messages kept popping. When I used this App, it discovered that a document is pending printing in queue, as the ink cartridges are depleted the job was pending in the queue that caused the error messages. Thank you, fixed 👍🏼

    Hi: I have an HP Officejet Pro 8620. This morning I tried to scan from my printer which is a normal process for me. It just won't scan. I have gone through the steps from the scan doctor and it doesn't seem to pass the "scan" test and just spins. Thus I can't get to the end of the diagnostics. I have turned everything off and on - still nothing. I can print from PC computer and iPad. I need my scanner for business. Any suggestions what to do next?

    Hey I know this is off topic but can you please help me. I use an Ethernet cord and my internet was really fast until yesterday. It started being really slow and In video games I would play on 70 ping. I tried troubleshooting my connection and it said the dns server wasn’t responding. Is there a way to fix it?

    I have HP Deskjet ink advantage 2676 (my laptop is windows 10 pro). Two days ago I found out how to see the password of printer and get connected through wifi also able to print. But yesterday and today i can not get connected and had to get a new password again in order to connect through wifi. How to permanently get connected?
    By the way the same thing happen if I want to get Hp printer 2676 connected with my handphone.

    M29 printer, Android phone. Trying to scan. HPSmart locates the printer, I hit SCAN, and the printer scans(I can hear it). But I don't get a preview. My screen on the phone rapidly goes back and forth between transferring/scanning, transferring/scanning, transferring/scanning, transferring/scanning over and over. Then I get a message there's an error and it says to try another time. What's the remedy?

      Please try hard resetting your printer as mentioned below:
      With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
      Remove USB cable, if present.
      Wait for 2-3 minutes, and press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
      Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
      Turn on the printer and wait till the warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.
      And, also try updating the HP smart app to the latest version.

    I'm 75, not computer savvy and have owned an HP LaserJet Pro printer (MFPM148fdw) for several years. Printer/Scanner features worked fine until recently when, for no apparent reason, I began getting "printer is offline" alerts. The first few times turning the printer off and on again worked--for short while, but no longer. Is this a printer or connectivity issue? Very frustrating. Help!

    Hello, I have an HP officejet pro 8025e that I've recently purchased. The printer is connected to my windows 10 pc via usb. The scan feature is working when I use the HP smart app on my pc, however it does not work when using the control panel on my printer. It would be significantly more convenient for me to be able to scan from my printer's control panel rather than my pc. How can I resolve this issue?

      Solution one: Turn the printer off and then on again
      Follow these steps to restart the printer.
      Press the Power button to turn off the printer.
      Wait 60 seconds, and then press the Power button to turn on the printer.
      Solution two: Plug the printer directly into a wall outlet
      Make sure that the printer is properly connected to a suitable power source.
      Press the Power button to turn off the printer.
      Disconnect the printer's power cord from any power strips or surge suppressors and then plug it directly into a grounded wall outlet.
      Press the Power button to turn on the printer, and then try to use the menu to check if the printer control panel is functional.
      Solution three: Reset the printer
      Follow the steps below to reset the printer.
      With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
      Unplug the power cord from the power source.
      Wait 60 seconds.
      Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.
      NOTE: HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

      @@TheSaint7770 did you ever get it uninstalled? I can't seem to get anyone to answer how to remove it. It doesn't show up in add/delete programs OR the apps page, but if you use your search on your computer, multiple copies of it come up from every time I get a new HP Printer! I just need to remove them all!

    I have an HP Envy 4500e all in one printer and scanner and for a long time I could print and scan easily. I can still print but scanning is very troublesome. For a long time I could scan from the printer or from my laptop. I can no longer scan from the printer although that way suits me best, and scanning from the laptop is very slow from HP Smart.
    Is there a way I can return to scanning from the printer to my laptop. It seems the more HP software I download the less help it is. I used to find HP Print & Scan Doctor very helpful. If I uninstall or delete all HP software what do I need to print and scan without any hassles.

      HP Photo Creations
      HP Update
      HPDiagnosticsCoreDII
      I also have HP Smart,
      HP Support Assistant and
      HP Scan and Print Doctor
      It seems the more HP software I have on my laptop the more confusion reigns. Which do I use when I have a print or scan problem.

      @@HPSupport I removed all the HP software and installed the HP software from the link above . I can print to my printer. HP Start has also installed and that is the only way I can scan but It is painfully slow. I still can't scan from the printer. The scanning used to be as fast as doing a photocopy. I'm right back to where I started.

    I can print to my hp envy photo 7155 but it won't scan. The print and scan doctor doesn't find the printer on the network, even after finding it for a print job. HP smart doesn't find it either. The only way to scan is to use the scan to email utility and email the doc. using windows 11.

    I bought it so that I could use my Phone to Hotspot Wi-Fi Connect and then print what I want
    For some reason there's no fix it on the printer
    It just directs you to HP
    Is it because
    I don't have an account
    That you decide to shut everything off because of the update
    I used to be able to hotspot my phone to the printer it's still recognizes my phone but for some reason it just does not want to print
    It just says error
    The scanner copy still works but the scanner itself of scanning text or anything just does not light up or come across
    I do believe the problem may have started when I did connect my laptop because it downloaded two apps
    That's connecting tethering from my laptop to my printer
    That's not what I want
    I guess I'll just start looking for a different brand I just hate that I bought new ink

    I got a Connection Error saying that the computer is not responding when I tried to scan a document and send it to a file in the form of a PDF. I ran the Scan Doctor and it corrected whatever problem there was, but only for that one time. The next time I tried to scan something and send it to a file, I had to run the Scan Doctor again. In other words, it's been a one-time fix only. I have to go through this process every time. I don't know what happened. It used to work with no issues. Help!

    Mine HP Smart Scanning tool also quite working. Got it working a couple of months ago. I also have the fire wire cable connected, hard wired. It prints but can't scan. Us MS_Paint it always works. So MicroSoft always with HP, but Hp software doesn't work with an HP printer to scan. I got a lot of stuff going don't want spend my spare time becoming an expert on HP Scanning devices. I just want it to work.

      @@HPSupport Why is it MS paint, click file tab, and then click the scan or scanner option will always connect and scan? Somehow HP Smart after I restart the PC and the printer more than once it seems finally hooks up. Sounds like HP and MicroSOFT need to get on the same page. Having Blue Tooth on is a security risk and you can be hacked. Blue tooth was designed to be easy to hook up with and listen to music. Reading your instructions to turn blue tooth on. your computer. Blue tooth was not designed with security in mind. Being hacked is a big concern. I run Norton and constantly scan and update my software. Why can’t I get HP Scanning to work with Fire Wire /hard wired connection consistently . I understand the connivence of being able to print from many devices; but the main PC I use hard wired always prints, but won’t hookup to scan frequently.
      Every time you turn the ignition in your car do you have to pop the hood of the vehicle and clean your battery terminals? That’s what it seems like on the scanner always troubleshooting a problem with the printer at $100 to replace the printer cartridges.

    I am about ready to take my HP Officejet Pro 9020 to the dumpster and go buy a Dell. I can print, but cannot scan. It says the "scanner is currently unavailable." I know it is connected to my network because I have a wireless connection and able to print from multiple computers in my home. However, I can't SCAN. I tried removing everything "HP" from my computer, restarting, re-downloading ALL drivers and HP Smart app, over and over again. I have spent hours of my time running the "HP Doctor" app, scouring the internet, including HP's "trouble shooting" website with no success. The ink levels in the HP Smart app shows full all the time (which is not the case) and I am being charged with the pages I print with "Instant Ink" subscription appropriately. The scanner worked before, but suddenly and without reason, stopped. In all my reinstalls, I have managed to make it work once or twice, but then reverts back to not finding the printer for scanning.

    Its insane that everyone is have connectivity issues and hp cant fox the problem. I told them several time i already spoke with someone and they did all the troubleshooting they can and its still not working so whats the next step?
    I cant even use the warranty because one of technicians thought the hp ink program was the problem. Now im stuck with no warranty and no functional printer.
    I use to think so highly of them but im just ready to stop buying their printers because this makes no sense

      +Kieth Sabay To delete the tool, follow these steps:
      Navigate to the program’s current file location e.g. the desktop.
      Right-click on the HP Print and Scan Doctor icon.
      Choose Open file location.
      Click Delete.

    This stupid app start my desktop every day. I only realize this after running powercfg /lastwake. Your hardware barely work, your software is this abomination. I don't understand why hardware manufacture trying very hard to be software developer. Big data I guess. Asus is in the same boat. And what is up with Modern Standby and no S3, both Asus and HP laptops doesnt have S3. Upside my laptop is always on like a tablet, DOWNSIDE battery only last for 2 hours. On commute my laptop got extra toasty while sleeping in the bag. Good job guys. Now I need to check if this abomination is on my Asus laptop.

    reading this thread this issue of printers just stopping scanning about a year or less into their shelf life seems pretty consistent I am never buying HP printer/scanner again. The scan doctor .exe simply does not resolve the issue - heap of crap

    Every hp printer I buy works fine for a few weeks and then I experience problems. Zero Customer help. NEVER AGAIN.

      A lot of problems with drivers. I can print but I can't scan anymore. The scanner starts scanning but at the end nothing shows up on the screen of my PC, just blank screen. I tried with the HP smart app and the HP Scan app, same result. I also uninstalled drivers and applications several times...
