  • Hi everyone! Here's a quick tutorial on how I make natural wreath forms using foraged materials. You can use just about any branch that is flexible enough to bend into a hoop shape. Experiment with materials that you have available to you, you don't have to use willow or grapevines! With this method, you can make just about any size wreath form that you'd like. The length of the branch will determine the size of the wreath. shorter = smaller. longer = bigger.
    Thanks for watching!

Nice! It seemed incomplete and pointless to buy a pre-made form for a wreath I would be making myself. I guessed it should be simple enough to make one, since our ancestors made them all the time. But I wasn't sure if I could use any branch. The only willows I have seen in my area were planted in people's gardens, haha. Thanks!

I have heard you can make wreaths out of ivy, so I am going to try that this summer. Never having made wreaths before, I needed this video to know how to create the ivy base. Thanks.

Yes you can! Ivy (as you probably know) is super flexible, so the more vines you add to the wreath form, the sturdier it will be!

@@DewBloomFlowerFarm Finally a use for all the ivy that grows into our garden from the neighbours! Haha. I might have to thank them.

Why not use twine or zip ties?
