    Make no mistake, people like Kevin were promoting FTX and if it turns out there was fraud (very likely) they have liability so it's in their best interest to push the narrative it wasn't fraud and was just an honest mistake.

      Kevin isn’t going to get done for fraud, unless you can find direct evidence implicating him. But there is good reason as to why he and others are defending SBF.
      If you or I were to purchase say a Rolex from an unauthorised dealer and that watch turned out to be reported stolen. We would need to return the watch at a personal loss.
      Similarly in US law if someone is paid using fraudulently obtained funds, the receiver will need to return funds.
      This is why Kevin O’Leary, news outlets and politicians are defending SBF.
      The greed and corruption with these people is simply unbelievable. The only thing these people are loyal to is the dollar.

    • @wackzingo
      @wackzingo ปีที่แล้ว

      Wrong, he does not need to be directly implicated in the fraud to face massive fines. Did you not see the TH-camr that was recently fined $50+ million and didn't even directly commit fraud but simply sold a product based on misleading claims.

    O'Leary is basically a very intelligent entertainer who got on Canada's Dragon Den, subsequently got Shark Tank from ABC and has capitalized on that fame as an 'expert'. He started his own funds, charging a huge MER. He said originally that crypto was useless, which it is, and then all of a sudden he's into crypto. These Financial Entertainment channels should get some morals and punt these opportunists off.

    The problem is Mr. O'Leary has ripped apart small businesses, entrepreneurs and start ups on Shark Tank for NOT KNOWING THEIR NUMBERS. His admitted due diligence was seeing that other supposed Smart Money invested and he followed. The 5% allocation rule is good but this also allows for sloppy investing. If the prevailing theory of human motivation is self interest, how can someone else act a fiduciary for you. How is someone else more concerned with your money than you? When human nature and the nice sounding words like fiduciary are in conflict, I wonder what wins out?

    Please allow me to translate the above statements.
    "I want to get my money back" and "I don't want to say this is fraud, because then the $15 million I was paid to promote FTX could be clawed-back to pay off everyone who lost money; and then I will have really lost money."
