I miss foraging wild vegetables. I went to the forest to forage after I collected grass to feed for the carabao. Wild vegetables are not that abundant today because the rainy season had just started, Today, I got elephat foot yam and wild bitter goured leaves. I made okoy and tinola for dinner.

Good evening if you're still up or good morning when you wake up Gayyem Ben. Interesting video to say the least. How did you know which "wild vegetable" to pick in the forest? I am always fascinated by people that could go to the forest and knows which is edible and which one is not. Being a city boy, I don't think I'll survive in the forest unless there's wild boar or maybe a river nearby where I could try to catch a fish hahaha! So how did you know, did your elders showed you how or which one to pick when you were younger? I don't remember that being taught in school back in the day. Great video friend... thanks for sharing it with us...
Hello. As a boy who grew from the countryside, I saw people from our place gathering and consuming these wild vegetables. As I grew up, I was taught by people here especially my parents what is this, or what is that, how to cook this something like that. It depends on the environment I guess. It's expected that you don't know these wild vegetables because you're a city boy. Also with me from the countryside, there are lots of things I still don't know about city life. Life is really fascinating. 😀
