Hello Shelly J Cox. I,ll order walnut oil gel from rublev in a tin can 236 ml. I use safflower oil to clean my paint brushes. Thanks for you,re video,s. Now i can oil paint save, whit out terpentine ectra. 😊👍🏾👋🏾🖐🏾
Good video, I would like to mention a couple of things. First that raw linseed oil by Sunnyside has a pretty harsh solvent in it, I'm pretty sure they use it for extracting the oil from flax seeds. I figured that out because I make my own "boiled linseed oil" for a wood finish that I use, and when you heat that particular oil up the fumes are insane. You'd be better off buying flax seed oil it's actually cheaper I believe, if you are just cleaning your brushes with it. Secondly if you haven't ever tried it, I highly recommend that you try out Murphy's oil soap for cleaning your brushes, especially brushes (if you're like me) and you've let a bit of paint dry in them occasionally. You can soak a brush, that is completely hardened in pure Murphy's oil soap and it will bring it back to life. You're portraits are excellent, thanks for the video.
Hi Jeremy. That is awesome advice. I will for sure try them both! Thank you so much for taking time time to let me know. I greatly appreciate it. Lol yes my brushes can get away from me too. Take care. Shelly
