A co-worker did NOT like this & gave it to me free of charge...I wore it & was TOTALLY blown away. ..this stuff is the truth,& gets me tons of compliments regularly. Lasts 4 ever. Ironically I wore it to work one day & he asked what I was wearing, told him it was the Guilty Absolute he gave me & he could NOT believe it. BTW I'm 55 & he's only 30,so perhaps that had something to do with it as well...perhaps it was a bit too mature for him

I used to hate this, at first I thought they're selling me expensive antiseptic. Anyway I tried it again and you know what? I really like it. My nose has adapted since I last smelt it and I'm definitely getting a bottle.
I'm a woman and I absolutely love this scent. I wear it for myself and I just need 2 sprays.
Gucci absolute is a smell that can be addictive. The first time I tried it at the mall, I wasn’t loving it. But for some reason I tried it again at a Sephora’s. I could not STOP smelling my wrist where I had sprayed it. The more I sniffed, the more I liked it!

I love Fahrenheit since i was 17 and this Fragrance is a new dimension to this kind of scent - I absolutely love it.
For me, this was love at first sniff! It‘s just a manly, woody, leathery fragrance and lasts days on my skin. I got this yesterday and immediately sprayed it on. I got out of the shower and still could smell a light hint of it! Longevity is insane. I guess it‘s either a love of hate fragrance. I would definitely buy this again! To me, you can actually wear this throughout the year, only not if you are living in a super hot, humid area.
If you like this, I'm willing to bet you would like Kenneth Cole RSVP (red bottle packaging). The scent signatures are very similar even though the notes don't really match up. The only difference is the RSVP has some lighter floral overtones.
This review is 100% spot on. Every aspect you covered is exactly how it smells and performs. I read James Dean's signature scent was Knize Ten but I will bet the house if Guilty Absolute was around back then he would have had 10 bottles and been the face for the ad campaign.

This smells like a Band-Aid. I love Gucci and they have gotten my money repeatedly. I was highly disappointed. I’m trying to sense what everyone’s review of this is. But, I’m not smelling it.

got it for Christmas and love it and only use it for date nights and special occasions and its a small spray type of fragrance and less is more is a real deal with it.
I've got my nose on this a few times now, starting to grow on me a little more each time. When I first sprayed it, it smelled like disinfectant to me lol. The dry down is definitely much softer and the scent itself is good and performs well enough on my skin. The woman has informed me that if she's there when I spray it I won't have a gf for an hour lol. Good review, really enjoying the channel!

just got a bottle today, as you described this perfume is potent and definitely for a man not boys. very woody and leathery combination, my only worry is that this perfume might be too much for office, so i will apply very small quantity of this...

I've bought it today. Acctually I've sprayed it in shop and bought something else as didn't like it at first but after few hours of smelling it I've came back and bought it as well
I just tested it (got a tester with my purchase yesterday) In the beginning I was like, hmm i don't know, but it's growing on me very rapidly. It definitely smells like a leather jacket to me :D

when I first started out on my fragrance path, Dior Fahrenheit - was a '' what a waste ''. Now years later, I have actually found ANOTHER but better - Mancera Wind Wood : Quality, but smoother. If guilty is in the same vein, then I have ALL READY ordered, if they do one a 200ml bottle. It also has a favourite note of mine included : VETIVER.

I LOVE IT. It’s exactly what I was looking for. Just smells like old powerhouse chopped wood frag. On my skin, once petrol opener has mellowed away, I get more of the cedar/woods as the prominent note then leather and vetiver secondary and faint whiff of patchouli now and then.
It’s bold, confident, strong and authoritative and I love that about it. Takes a certain sort of person to pull this one off and I love that about it too. It is definitely not generic. It’s earthy, warming, inviting. Very dark rebel-esque.

I liked it pre-spray based off of the smell emanating from the atomizer. Then I sprayed it on. Wasn't sure if I liked it. Over time, I grew to really like it as it settled on my skin. The performance is perfect IMO. This is not a scent you want to go beast mode.
This fragrance doesn’t smell like antiseptic liquid, it is the smell of old book or the smell inside of an old binocular leather case. Here it is precisely described
It works so well on my skin. Almost like a soapy clean leather.

Spot on brother! This was love at first sniff for me not because of the petrol vibe alone but because how the leather-vetiver combination worked perfectly to my taste. Agree,not for all and that's why I like it more because I know not many will be smelling like me😊

sounds promising. can't go wrong with a balls-to-the-wall masculine scent, god knows there has been enough of the sweet bombs lately. will try it when the stores start having huge sales for fragrances in preparation for march 8th, international women's day, when all perfumes - even men's, lol - get heavily discounted in my country.

This smells like pumping gas or diesel in your pickup truck while you open a can of Copenhagen snuff or long cut smokeless tobacco wearing your leather cowboy boots. That exact smell, if you can imagine it. Is exactly what this is. It's very very manly. People told me they smelled cedar as well. It's a bit harsh up top. But it does dry down to an almost smoky leathery old barn garage. It's the most unique designer fragrance at the store. Most will hate it. But some will respect it for the creativity and masculinity it has. It should've been named something else as to not be associated with the guilty brand crap they've put out. This is tom Ford running Gucci again middle finger creativity not giving a f.... The American cowboy got a fragrance. It's name is Gucci Guilty Absolute. Wait a few months as this will drop in price at discounters due to the low testosterone appeasing fragrances we have at our disposal.

I laughed reading your analysis but at the same time when I thought about it you are actually spot on! It does smell like all of those but it works! When I smelled it the other day I definitely got a lot of the smokiness. Already told my fiancé about it. Hopefully she gets the hint!

I bet it smells similar to Ferrari Uomo. It was also done by Alberto Morillas. It has that gasoline leather smell to it.
if you are in the market for a gasoline/plastic aroma, smell. Then Amouage IMITATION man is a must must must. Quality and solid value for your money. Wait around a while, sales and deals for this fragrance do come around. It is purchased with n o regret. Amouge Imitatioin man and Mancera Wind wood. Quality.
DIOR Fahrenheit's more mature brother who works at a mechanic shop and moonlights doing oil changes at night
Boy, oh boy, I cant believe how broken nose you had back in the days. There is no petrol or gasoline in this Gucci or much resemblance to Dior Fahrenheit whats so ever. They are both leathery fragrance but Dior has prominent violet note which in combination with leather creates this famous gasoline vibe. Also Dior has side notes of citrus, florals, amber, and tonka that goes on and on. The Fahrenheit line is unique but in NO WAY similar to this Gucci. Guilty Absolute in comparison to Dior is a stripped down from this gasoline vibe and focused mainly on leather, cypress, patchouli, and woods. Even vetiver is not much present, just a touch and far behind leather and cypress. Wash your nose :D
You should definitely wear 9 sprays in the high heat of the summer with this one
I tried this. 2 light (not full) sprays on each side of my neck. My wife told me i smell different, like a hotel room. Lol. I dont care. But this smells awesome to me.
Smells like paint shop & barn at the opening vierdly attractive :) than it grabs you in and you realize how great scent it is. Highly recommended for gown up men!

Hated this scent so much at first . Now I got a sample and I can’t stop smelling my wrist. The opening is very very harsh. But it drys down to something less harsh
Thought I’d give this a try, bin waiting 6 days to arrive, it’s just come....I would say I’m confused really, don’t know if I like it or not, reminds me of my dad but can’t think why, maybe his motorbike jacket from back in the day or something...lol... I’m getting hints of some I recognise, I’m not expert and I’m a sucker for a freshie but il give it a whirl and see what my work mates say when I walk past them.....
I would say this makes me think of a machanic wearing mr Burberry 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️ don’t know if there’s any of the same notes in them but that’s the vibe I get
Tried this and the open is almost 100% gasoline smell which isn’t pleasant to me at all. My wife literally wouldn’t take a second smell. Dry down was a little better but still too pungent of the gasoline.
This is definitely try before you buy.
AND YES ITS LONGEVITY AND PROJECTION IS NOT SATISFACTORY. ITS PERFORMANCE ENDS WITHIN 2 HOURS.FRAGRANCE ITSELF IS VERY SOPHISTICATED BUT POOR PERFORMANCE IS NEGATIVE FEATURE.AFTER INITIAL BLAST VERY SOON GOES TOWARDS SKIN SCENT.ITS A PITY.
AFTER ABOUT TWO HOURS HARDLY ANYONE WILL DETECT IT ON YOU. MAY BE DURING WINTER IT WILL PERFORM BETTER.

I got given a sample of this one and I'm confused as to wether I like I or not. I actually got the smell of Poster Paint and something medicinal. Very leathery but actually quite pleasant. Keep in mind, that was just on my wrist and I really think the sillage would be where this one shines. I would compare it to Ted Baker Bodywear Bodyspray.
It is Dettol,, Dettol and Dettol in Gucci Guilty flankers. Why Alberto Morillas formulate this?

Top masculine scent, very similar to my bottle of Encre Noire (it's the vetiver note) but with a leathery note as opposed to the inkiness of Noire. Noticeably different to your average designer, and if I didn't already have my 'dark' scent (EN) then it would be a must buy.
VERY close to EN....I dont get what these people are smelling......its dark smoke, wood, hint of leather......I get cinnamon in opening too.....and a touch of sandalwood on the drydown. Great juice.

Unbelievably masculine, you got it right on the head when you mentioned gasoline/ petroleum smell. It reminds me of the construction and engineering industries, I know men or have known men who work in this line of profession, they have this smell on their skin. I'm definitely going to grab a bottle just for old Times sake.

Great review. I tested this one and unfortunately it did nothing for me. It's a dry screetchy synthetic fragrance and is quite linear. I still think Gucci Pour Homme puts this to shame....

This fragrance is inspired by cannabis. Everyone describes this as smelling "medicinal" and "smokey-" And they would be exactly right.
Ashton, you need to sample Cannabis by Malin+Goetz and you will see what I am talking about. I just found out that they smell very similar to eachother. M+G Cannabis was released first so I wouldn't be surprised if alberto morillas got inspiration from them, or the plant itself. It'd make a lot of sense too, the name is GUILTY and it's inspired by CANNABIS

Vibe of a leather jacket worn in the cockpit of a FW-190.
Thankfully I only purchased a 10ml decant of this scent because I just can't wear it. In my opinion this smells like a medicine chest full of band-aids. For some that may be a pleasant smell but I just can't get over that vibe. I'm glad others are having success with it but it's just not my cup of tea.

I smelled this today in a store. It smells like leather. Also like the horse, and the barn around it, and the pile of manure as well. It makes the fragrance properly descriptive and unique, but why would you want on you a smell people shower to get rid of?

I hate this one so much, but every time I wore it I got a lot of compliments from men and women. I think it smells like detergent or some chemical, very syntetic.

It is nice for winter , I like the unique style but I guess many people will hate it . I like smelling it because it reminds me an unclean one's smell. It is something like a little hot pepper, sweet shit (which tries to hide it), leather and petrol.
