*Question of the Episode:* What exhibit would you like to see featured in 2025? Before you say it... yes, World of Darkness is on the schedule. *Point Defiance Zoo Tours... so far...:* 1. I was sad to hear about the Scalloped Hammerhead sharks passing, I believe that there are now only three aquarium's in the country to house the species(Monterrey Bay Aquarium, the Seas at Epcot, and Frost Science Museum Aquarium). once exhibit I'd like to see featured is the new and improved Mountains and Desert Building at the Fort Worth Zoo. It has been closed for renovations since 2021 and reopened in the summer of 2024.
Lovely work on the two aquariums of Point Defiance Zoo, Zach! As for the upcoming future tours for 2025: I’d like to suggest Ocean Wonders: SHARKS! at the New York Aquarium, and the Giant Ocean Tank at the New England Aquarium for aquarium tours, and for zoos: I’d like to see World of Birds from the Bronx Zoo and the Ituri Forest at the San Diego Zoo.
If u ever go international again, Nausicaa aquarium in France is a must-see. It's the biggest aquarium in Europe and has some of the most unique architectural design I've ever seen in an aquarium. It also is conveniently divided into 3 or so zones. One of the highlights of the aquarium is the crocodile habitat, which forms a sort-of dome shape, being the only crocodile exhibit I know to surround the viewers, with the crocodiles' basking spots being above our heads, not too high that you can't see them, but just high enough to remind us that they really are King of the reptiles.
Another fantastic episode Zak definitely neat to see two aquariums in one as for exhibits I would like to see in 2025 I would love to personally see a tour of Jungala at Busch Gardens to see how creative it is compared to other exhibits like it overall have a fantastic day!
I love seeing more aquatic attractions on the channel. This was a great start to 2025. Question Answer: I’d love to see either Omaha’s Asian Highlands or Kingdoms of the Night
Coincidentally I visit the old North Pacific aquarium on it’s last day of operation and that was on my first visit on that zoo during my family visit on Washington
I would love to see the Kingdom of the Night exhibit at Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo get love. Really, all the Omaha Zoo exhibits you didn't show would be wonderful. They do such a good job, it'd be wonderful to see folks reactions.
One zoo I think you should go to this year is Sedgwick County Zoo. I also suggest you go after the African elephants have their calf’s so they can be featured on the tour!
African Wildlife Safari Park in Port CLinton, Ohio...it's drive through section would be a fun one to see. Another would be the Boonshoft Museum's mini-zoo in Dayton, Ohio...
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the cleaner shrimp in the reef aquarium’s touch area! I’ve never seen (or heard of) those shrimps in touch areas before, and they’re great! They pick off dead skin and the dirt under your fingernails. It’s fun!
0:56 OH OH OH I KNOW!, the Brookfield zoo nature plaza exhibit, recently last year they built a prairie bird aviary that was supposed to contain sandhill cranes, prairie chickens, and American kestrels, but today it contains the florida subspecies of sandhill crane, the greater prairie chicken subspecies t.c. pinnatus, and some cattle egrets. They also built two turtle exhibits for the blandings, spotted, midland painted, common musk, and red ear slider turtles in one enclosure, and the ornate, eastern, and three toed box turtles in another enclosure, and there are educational signs around the animal enclosures and around the plaza and other things like that.
That old North Pacific aquarium was incredible. The bottom had small exhibits showing animals from around the Puget sound. Sad that they tore it down and haven’t replaced it with anything yet
The closed Tide Pool had a random 18 foot surge wave when first opened. The Tide Pool also didn’t have barriers. The surge wave was shut off pretty quickly.
When the Lagoon first opened in 1989, there was no border to the beach area. The first weeks it was open, they had to have a keeper stand there with a snake hook to prevent the morays from leaving.
It's been so long since I've been to the Point Defiance Zoo, I got picked from the bleachers during the Wild Wonders theatre show and got the chance to pet a North American porcupine even received a pin to prove it! The exhibit I would like to see featured would be the African Savanna at the Great Plains Zoo in South Dakota they have a really cool lion exhibit that they finished in June of 2024. 🦁😁
I know it’s supposedly schedule within the next few years but i would like to see the Tiger Mountain-Bronx or Elephant Trek, Jungle Trails or Cat Canyon Redo-Cincinnati, The Roadhouse or now called the Nocturnal Building Redo-Columbus and or Asian Highlands-Omaha
I would like to see leopard forest at the Nashville zoo, Tropical Forests at the Brookfield zoo, manatee river at the Jacksonville zoo, Amazons edge at the Santa Anna zoo, birds of the world at the Houston zoo, Flamingo aviary at the Philadelphia zoo and Congo falls at the San Antonio zoo and I have some ideas for 2026 and one of the ideas is an exhibit that I know you already did a video of and the exhibit is the reptile house at the Toledo zoo but I would like to see you do it when it reopens and the reason is because they are going to have an animal that is only currently at the la zoo in California coming into their reptile house and this animal is the Perentie and they are also going to have crocodile monitors.
