Good video. I did a refresh about 10 years ago (paint, faux granite paint kit, adding hardware). Getting ready finally do a reno. (new cabinets, countertops, scrap popcorn ceiling, and maybe new appliances). Feel like I've done my due diligence in selecting a contractor. Now just praying that I made the right decision. Still doing some of the work myself like removing the old cabinets and countertops. 1) it helps with the cost and 2) I just enjoy doing things like that even if I'm not always that good at it.
Mavis, thank you so much for watching. I'm so excited about your new kitchen! I know this is going to be awesome. Please take pictures of the before so we can compare old to the new when you've got the new one installed! This is really exciting. Congratulations. Thanks for watching.
Hi Jackie, came over from Mark Tobin's livestream this past week and just watched your video. Thanks for recommending it and I loved the verse from Ecclesiastes the most. The best reminders, even for a renovation, address the heart and I needed that heart check today (for other reasons, actually). But in regard to renovating, and what we've done in other areas of the home thus far, it is good to remember this wisdom. Unexpected things happen to everyone--we aren't being singled out like Eeyore (why does this always happen to me? Sigh.) Our cabinet maker just had his engine die on him on the fwy and his son was had just come home from the hospital -- he had to cancel on us multiple times. But we could give grace and be patient because we, too, have experienced weeks (& months) like this. Congrats on your finished kitchen--it looks lovely! And thanks again for the for practical tips. :)
Natalie, thank you so much for watching and for sharing your experience. Garrett Le Chic did a video recently called Interior Design in the Post Pandemic Era that spoke to a lot of these issues as well. The pandemic has so many of us reimagining our space and what's functional in these modern times. But as we upgrade, to really emphasize being patient, being kind, and exercising compassion and understanding. The value of upcycling and taking what you already have and making it beautiful again. You should check out his video! Thank you for watching today. I encourage you to subscribe if you haven't already. And we'll see you on the next one!
Happy Sunday morning to you too, Dae! Thank you for the compliment! Editing is tricky but I'm getting the hang of it. And as always, I'm finding joy in the journey. Thank you for all your support!
Ivy, thank you so much for your support. And I’m also happy we’ve all found community on the Mark Tobin Kitchen Design channel and I encourage others to go check him out if they haven’t already! Ivy thank you for watching!
@@JackieofAllTrades Have a great day, Jackie! I love doing the reno stuff myself. Working on my kitchen and home brings me a lot of smiles and sometimes some tears!
