RIP Grace - My #Cat mom tribute to my beloved pet
มุมมอง 4943 หลายเดือนก่อน
Grace died a year ago in April. I wanted to publish this video then, but it was just too difficult. She was my beautiful little girl since she came home from that Indiana shelter 17 years before. My cat was there for so many of life’s events. She was there when my sister died in 2006. She was there when I adopted my daughter in 2007. She was there when my son was born, landed my dream job, boug...

Something like this available in 12 inch dia?? Need for the bath so it stays aesthetic as well as dry.
I’ve been watching Mark Tobin videos. I kept seeing you commenting on his videos and then I decided to look you up. Much to my surprise, I realised we both know each other. I knew you had started a channel but I had forgotten the name of it. You did a great job on the kitchen Jackie. Tell V I said hello if see her in person.

I just came across this.... sending you my deepest condolences. I can't begin to imagine how this feels. I pray God wraps you in his warmth to give you strength. Know not all get to experience the love & care you've given her as a beautiful life... and you should hold that dear as her memory ♡ Blessings
@@Coveredtruecrime Thank you so much. It’s been more than a year and I still shed tears but I’m grateful for our time together. Even how I got her was just fate. I didn’t go adopt her. She befriended my male cat as a little kitten named Lavender and when it was time to move out of town, at nearly 3 months old she decided she wanted to leave her litter and come with us. I went from 1 cat to 2 in a matter of about 5 minutes. With permission, I put her into my cat’s cage because she refused to leave and kept following us. We soon changed her name to Grace. And she was the best cat. ❤️ I am thankful to God because I had a chance to be her mom.
@JackieofAllTrades that's the cat distribution lol. Same happened to me with my now 2 boys mom. Her name was Bebe, I miss her dearly everyday as she came to me as a kitten and always ran the streets, being a feral growing up behind my back patio woods. I couldn't find an adopter, so I kept her, and she ran out b4 getting fixed. She became pregnant before I finally got her fixed. It didn't stop her from running out sadly, and that's where she met her early end. I cherish those days I had with her...and she lives on through the handsome kin of her I have ♡ I keep my boys inside, they too like to sneak out! Ughhh just like mama.
I really enjoyed your video tutorial! One thing I might add is a hint for a quilting marker. You can use it for sewing but it's even more useful for carpentry and picture hanging. After you mark the position measurement and drill or nail, extra lines can be wiped away with a damp paper towel. No chance of an off measurement and mark causing the installer to have to touch up paint. I used it today to place a 3' line for leveling pictures. Comes in light blue.
@@patabramault9458 thanks for a great suggestion and thanks for watching.
The Lord brings His creation into our lives to show us His love. You will meet again. "Your righteousness is like the highest mountains; Your judgments are like the deepest sea. O LORD, You preserve man and beast." Psalm 36:6
@@granddeception4290 Amen. God is good. I believe in Proverbs it says “a righteous man regards the life of his animals.” For me, her life was very precious. It was a gastrointestinal cancer that took her but she had a great life. She traveled around the world and lived in different countries with me. She was always a good girl. ❤️

What's the glue you used
@@yalorde212 I used Loctite adhesive. Liquid Nails didn’t work for this project so I don’t recommend it. Loctite was awesome though
@@yalorde212 also please note I switched from the Mighty Might table saw to the Rockwell which is a little more expensive but very well worth it. Thank you so much for sharing your precious girl Grace. It is so helpful to me when others share the love for their furry family members; we are not alone in our sorrow when we lose them. ❤
@@gf8958-p7p Amen. They become like family. When she died her absence screamed at me so loudly… I moved at night in and out of bed to the bathroom quietly and carefully so as not to disturb her or injure her in the dark. I pull my jeans on from the dryer and her claw snags are staring at me. In the grocery store, I wonder if I should pick up extra cat food? This plagued me for months, but I’d built my life around keeping her comfortable. There wasn’t an off switch for these habits I’d formed.
I shed tears for you both. I can't believe it's been a year. Thank you so much for sharing such an intimate, heart wrenching, and love-filled moment. I understand why it took so long to share. Gracie was such a good kitty.

I am From Quebec Canada and wooow! unbelievable what you did. I have a question: Do we see the addition of the board on the side or with the paint it disappears?
Thank you!!! I actually used wood filler, let it dry and sanded. Looked great. By the way, I completed this kitchen nearly 3 years ago. Still looks great. Still loving it. You can see the full reno video on my channel.
Hi Jackie! I finally had a chance to sit down and watch this. What an incredible transformation!! You are one handy lady with great ideas to really make a difference. Your kitchen looks spectacular, and the brief pics on the MTKD "review" didn't do it justice at all. Love all the changes you made. Blessings, Susan 😊
Thanks, Susan! Definitely had to make a change and with only a bit of money and these two hands 🙌🏾 , I think I was able to make an impactful transformation. I am proud of it. ❤️Mark and I did an entire MTKD TH-cam Live just talking about my kitchen about 2 years ago. Please check it out if you have time. Thanks for watching!

Hi Jackie! Great work I like the new light so much more.
Thanks so much! I’m loving the space so much more these days. I’m glad I updated the lights! No regrets!
It looks great! The final product was outstanding. I’m buying a house now needs a lot of modernisation. I want to wallpaper a wall in the living room.
Your new light fixture looks amazing.
Thanks a lot! It’s definitely an upgrade over what was there before.
Looking great! I love the light fixture with the wallpaper.
Alright! Glad you like it. Thanks for watching!
This is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you. What type of hinges did you use?
I reused the old pivot hinges that were on the door. Nearly 2 years in and still no regrets. There’s a video of the full finished product on my channel as well I invite you to check out. By the way, the little Mighty Might table saw died on me. No longer recommend. I’m now using the Rockwell RK7323 Portable Table Saw and it works way better. The link is in the description.
