Was fun watching you react to this. Definitely a monumental album for the genre. I always felt that The Faceless during this era sounded like "If aliens landed on Halloween". This drummer absolutely murdered an impossible song..
Eff ect I was blessed to see them live in 2012 when this album was released. I was only 13 at the time but best concert of my life. It was summer slaughter
There is a christian propaganda video on youtube analyzing this performance and using it as an example of demon posession because he makes it look too easy ........ Its fucking hilarious!
Ha ha ha welcome to the club. The faceless are the next evolution since Death. Both immaculate individual conceptions that will never be duplicated or surpassed 🤘
Nice, Planetary Duality is quite a historical album, good choice. I think you should check out some Alkaloid, some of the most influential instrumentalists within the genre are in that group, and they make killer songs. Check out Alkaloid - Azagthoth :^)
If you liked this a lot, react to Xenochrist drum cam by Lyle Cooper (same drummer), Bleed drum cam by Thomas Hakke of Meshuggah, and Obfuscation live by Blake Richardson of Between the Buried and Me
Dude, there is so much better stuff than bleed, it's just a herta done over and over. Check out Cenotes by Hunuah Mitnal if you really want to be blown away. Or really anything Marco has done.
I use to party with the faceless. Michael the guitarist/ producer use to record my old band back in 2007. I meet steve first, I thought he was a better guitarist then Michael but Michael knew more theory. I learn a lot from Steve.
Finally! You've found your way to one of the best alien core / tech death bands out there, mate! The whole album is killer. Just like all of their albums. :D By the way: If you find the time, I really think you should give Dark Matter Secret a go. They are an instrumental tech death band from Russia and their technique aswell as composition are just impeccable. "Emergence of Time" is my favourite of theirs, but they are also getting into the single musician playthroughs. Especially their bassist deserves lots of love and thankfully they don't hide him in the mix. :)
Dude, you are awesome! Finally someone who is open-minded, I love that you had never heard them before and you checked this out. The Faceless have been one of my favorite bands for years man, since 'Akeldama' came out. They are incredible live too, seen them at least 4-5 times now. If you ever get a chance to see them be sure to check it out! No matter what the current lineup is they always put on a good show and Michael is great. Take care dude! ps. I just saw them a few months ago and they OPENED with Planetary Duality Pt. 1 and 2... it was EPIC!!
@@electricreactions2539 he's not lying... He's stands the fuck out above the rest! You're gonna need a few brains to process all the intricate details being played but when you hear them. Oh Goddddd

At 2:51 we made eye contact lmfao that shit felt sooo weird yet so cool. Considering we’ve never met yet we both had the same appreciation of musical talent lol
OH MY GOD I fucking LOVE the faceless, check out literally anything off of the planetary duality album, it's their best album in my opinion. keep on keepin on brosie o donnell
I've seen videos of you watching Erlend with Spawn of Possession and this one with Lyle Cooper. You should check out Abhorrent. Their album Intransigence is fucking insane and it features Lyle Cooper on drums and Erlend Caspersen on bass. I don't think you'll regret it, it's some good shit.
Got you! Hope you do end up checking out that album though, a lightness of mind is a good track, but it's honestly all hard to digest it's so technical haha. I enjoy your channel though, keep it up! No 'reaction channels' ever address some of the more obscure and underground bands in metal. I'd love to also see reactions to earlier Suffocation, and since you've checked out Spawn, I'm already in lol.
Dude thanks very much🤘🤘 I love this stuff and I’m not to bothered with trying to get as many views as possible, it’s about good fuckn metal. Thanks again brother
sorry bro but reading music theory does not replace the thousands of hours of monotonous exercising and rehearsal required to perform the things you write. So yeah, it is about playing 24/7.
I kinda hate introducing someone to a band with a live performance. Yes this sounds good, but it sounds so much better with the studio version ghosting it in your head.
*Listens to prog metal* "Never heard of The Faceless before" Right, and you've never heard Dream Theater either. Gotta make your lies more convincing, my dude.
You know what’s even funnier, the fact you know me. I actually don’t listen to prog. This is the first time I’ve actually ever heard any of these bands. And no I haven’t heard dream theatre!! I never gave em a chance.
ELECTRIC REACTIONS Just poking fun at you, my dude. I watched your BTBAM reaction and thought I'd say something snarky. I don't even listen to Dream Theater. Keep doing you homie, I'll keep watching!
Personally I believe this might be one of the best metal albums ever made. Absolute masterpiece for sure.
"I have absolutely no idea who The Faceless are"
Me: Oh you will...
Haha and your right, unreal my dude
I love when people dont know who they are .
My thoughts exactly 😂😂🤘😈
I give you more props for knowing Art Bell.
Was fun watching you react to this. Definitely a monumental album for the genre. I always felt that The Faceless during this era sounded like "If aliens landed on Halloween". This drummer absolutely murdered an impossible song..
I think the most amazing thing about this vid, is that he gets time to adjust his shorts and headphones numerous times throughout the song
The Faceless has to be one of the greatest bands ever.
Back then Faceless were really really good, miss that :'(
Eff ect I was blessed to see them live in 2012 when this album was released. I was only 13 at the time but best concert of my life. It was summer slaughter
That album is great. Only good album they did. Also Lyle Cooper is a great drummer.. he did a great job on that album. No longer with them either.
@@user-me7mm7gr1p akeldama was amazing too tho
everything Keene releases is fucking awesome.
Planetary Duality is one of those rare 10/10 masterpieces!

I seen em live once. My mind was absolutely blown
This album and the talent just takes on a life of its own. Love lyle coopers drumming ..Definitely one of my favs. wicked shit
The band hasn't been the same since he left... They lost the sauce.

what is the name of the opening song?

Try ancient covenant by the faceless or lucid interval, cephalic carnage patcice hamelin version
One of those bands where the live performance very very closely resembles the studio version. Both in performance and equally important the tone.
I think I liked Planetary Duality.
Watch Ulcerate live. The drummer is one of the best in metal.

P.s. sometimes, you look like Maurizio Crozza with beard, noi
Haha thanks man. So you think so?
ELECTRIC REACTIONS yeah! Sort of metal version of him! 😎
The drummer is a beast for sure. Nowadays bands are just heavier and similiar each one, throw back to the old metal and it will refresh your ears
it takes a lot of work to get up to those levels of speed and build your muscles, but once you're there you only need an hour a day or so :)
Another drum video with Alex Rudinger. Enjoy^^
