Thank you for watching 🖤💛 Wanted to do a longer video that I hadn’t seen anywhere - HERE WE GO STEELERS 🖤💛 UPDATE: To keep the video up, I had to cut some parts around the Eagles & Broncos - So it might be a little sloppy since I only removed the parts that were required
Did anyone else notice that after almost every Bus run, Mark Bruener (#87) was there to help him up? In some cases, he came running to make sure that Jerome didn't get fatigued... What a great teammate.
Love the Bus!! Nothing better than him getting up hyped and doing the little strut and head shake! God I miss those days and the way football was smash mouth.
@@kevinknestrick3797 , Yeah, they were Steeler games: Great defense, ball control offense, and winning football games, as a result. Things REALLY got fun, once Ben joined the team. We had great passing to go with the above team qualities.
@@davidgraham2673 I'll never forget saying who is this Roethlisberger guy then we didn't lose until the AFC championship...I hope this new team works for all of us
@@kevinknestrick3797 , Me too. I thought the same about Ben, but I kept hearing pundits say that Ben was unpolished, and played sandbox football, but that his upside was he had a higher potential than any of the others in the draft. Looks like Ben proved that his rookie season, didn't he? It was magical, and a season I'll cherish as long as I draw breath.
@@davidgraham2673 we got really lucky to see the teams that started getting us Superbowls again since the 70s...And they are was some of the greatest teams ever... HERE WE GO. STEELERS
That game in Baltimore was played at Memorial Stadium. It was home to The Orioles until they moved to Camden Yards. Memorial Stadium was also home to The Baltimore Colts. Ironically, Memorial Stadium was multipurpose, but its layout was as a baseball stadium. I grew up watching The Orioles at Memorial Stadium. This game in 1997 in Baltimore was a virtual Steelers home game. The home plate area above one of the endzones wall Steelers fans. That's because the largest Steelers fan club in America is in Baltimore. You ears don't fool you. The analyst on that game in Baltimore is Jim Brady. No joke. The Ravens started blocking calls from The Pittsburgh area code the next year and, eventually, you had to buy an entire season ticket set if you wanted The Steelers game. Ravens-Steelers games in Baltimore are still about 30% Steelers fans . BTW The Ravens-Steelers game in Pittsburgh in 1997 was used as a telethon to get local Baltimore folks to buy PSLs for what became M & T Stadium. It opened in 1998. The Steelers blasted The Ravens 37-0. Karma.
Boy, do we ever miss this bulldozer. He was just downright special in many ways. And that sitting on the bench scene at Jacksonville was just hilarious 😆. There could never be another Bus.
Seems like a 100 years ago now. I miss that feeling when every game I watched I felt like our team had a chance to win. Now it’s like what team will we get this week..😂
I know that Chuck Noll built the Steeler Dynasty, but Bill Cowher is still my favorite Steelers coach of all time. Just love his passion for Steeler football!!!! 👍👍

@itzYinzburgh
You done well, then.
This series of clips from 1997 is very welcome in my house.
Kudos to you.
I used to love watching the bus with my dad and his friends. Gave me goosebumps and giggles watching this. Thank you
Great as always.

Good catch
I Noticed That Even back Then
1996 and 1997, bettis was unstoppable. Thank you st louis
Love the Bus!! Nothing better than him getting up hyped and doing the little strut and head shake! God I miss those days and the way football was smash mouth.
It's was winning with physicality...They weren't high scoring but they were some great games

The Bus was unstoppable. Lester was a blocking specialist. What a duo!
I am a Washington fan, but I think everyone loved the Bus, always a classy guy.

I remember as a kid i went to a Notre Dame game and watched Jerome Bettis and got his autograph after the game , as a kid it was awesome.
Boy, do we ever miss this bulldozer. He was just downright special in many ways. And that sitting on the bench scene at Jacksonville was just hilarious 😆. There could never be another Bus.
Excellent tribute to a Steeler Icon! Here We Go Yinz!!
Best big guy with moves…Miss these days!
Cowher running up to the bus after the game winning touchdown run was awesome. I miss that. We need more coaches like that.

Jerome Bettis was not only a great running back, but he was also a great team player! 🏈🏈
Hey man, I just wanted to tell you that this video production was freaking good. These were my golden years as a Steelers fan.
Just want to share what I can’t find quickly 🖤💛 Glad you enjoyed man!
Feet like a ballet dancer. He had elite footwork!
That O-Line tho!
Jerome was amazing as running backs came in the 90’s and early to mid 2000’s.
Jerome had a huge advantage. Those guys must’ve hated tackling him.
Dermotti dawson
My favorite player of all time. Love the Bus!
Man looking back, Lester was a killer blocker. Probably deserves a bit more respect. Chip, chip, then runs a safety over.
THE BUS. !!!!!!!!!
Tim Lester was bout dat action! Everybody need a homie like tht lol
Good ol days
I know that Chuck Noll built the Steeler Dynasty, but Bill Cowher is still my favorite Steelers coach of all time. Just love his passion for Steeler football!!!! 👍👍
Loved watching him get hyped
Oh my , so much fun to watch the Steelers then! Thanks!!!
This was the year i started watching the NFL and i was impressed by THE BUS, the main reason i'm a Steelers fan.🚌🖤💛
Damn he was good!
Jerome was a Joy
Unbelievable! So agile to be so big.
"7 Possessions today. 5 punts, 1 fumble, 1 interception"
ah, yes, those were the days, lol
Lol
A fullback with a scat backs feet. Best Steeler trade ever!
Classic !!!
I'll never forget Mark Madden on radio calling him a washed up bum SMH! followed by saying his grandmother could fall over dead and gain more yardage!
When Bussy started doing his end of run celebrations everyone knew it was on
Bahahahah. *DAH BUSS* !!!!
4:58
His Career High!
He was a beast
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO STEELERS💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤
Awesome Channel my man..
Thank you 🖤💛
We should have all our running backs 250 lbs to scare defenses
Only 7 TDs
They leaned on Kordell (11 rush TD) in 97’ in short yardage. Haven’t researched it much as to why but have to assume it was a change of pace
Every carry was atleast 5+ yards steelers Football
The last of the breed. With NFL rule changes now so heavily biased toward the passing game, we'll never see his like again....
Jones drew was close. Marshawn lynch too
I thought that with Michael Vick, then Lamar Jackson came outta nowhere at Louisville
So we may see it soon out of nowhere
That AFC Central was Powerback heavy.
Eddie George
Corey Dillon
Jerome Bettis
Jamal Lewis
Fred Taylor perhaps.
I loved listening to dick enberg great footballguy he and olsen were great
Rip Tim and Justin
So glad the black name plates were only one year…. They were so ugly
Yeah, not a huge fan of them. Cool to look back on but that’s about it
Can You Upload 2006 Pittsburgh Steelers Radio Calls With Bill Hillgrove Its Yinzburgh
If you have them, hit my email up - I want to do Myron Cope calls but I really can’t get my hands on them
The BATTERING RAM!! His best season was in horns. He's a Ram4life. Jk I'm still salty tho😂
It's a shame he let himself get so out of shape in the 2nd half of his career. He was probably around 260-270 at the end
Still moved very well for his weight during that time period lost speed but everything else was fine
SOMEONE IS ALWAYS TRYnn 2RIDE DA BUS,,ATLEAST 2-3 DEFINDERS!! U CAN GET ON
BUT DON'T GET N DA WAY 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
That’s what the Steelers need, a offense that includes a fullback with MEAN NASTY OFFENSIVE LINEMEN
