Repentance is finally out and I am streaming a lot of it! I figured it would be a good idea to put the streamed videos in their own separate playlist, hope you enjoy following along with my progress (and streams of consciousness). - เกม
Here's a wholesome story for you: There's this guy, Adrian Gavrilita, who started watching NL's Isaac episodes obsessively back in the Flash era. After he noticed that NL would sometimes complain about bugs and the lack of certain features in Flash Isaac, he created Spidermod, hoping that he would get noticed by Eggdad. After Spidermod blew up in the Isaac community at the time, he got noticed not only by NL, but also by Ed and Nicalis. Now, Adrian is one of the lead programmers on Repentance.
Idk about you, but that just warms my heart.
Now that's a good success story. We really need more of those these days.

That's really cool. I love that Ed is open to the idea of letting talented people in on his projects. Bringing in the antibirth guys was the best decision Ed has ever made regarding isaac

We got belt play, followed by chaos play, followed by mauso door play followed by red poop play all with a brimknife free win. Goated episode.

A side characters been real quiet since b side characters dropped
I mean, many of the B-side characters are a lot more interesting, like B-cain, B-bethany, B-Samson, or B-judas

@@abcdefg98765 B-Forgotten is around the same level of interesting IMO, but YMMV, @Chariot Tao, B-Jacob is a little less interesting than Jacob and Esau, because J-E is already incredibly interesting and Demon Esau so aggressive, and 2 shots you. B-Cain is very interesting compare to Cain, because Cain has very little going on (just luck foot/paper clip) while B-cain has an entirely new and interesting way to play the game.
Now I have the imagery of northerlion bumping to Dababy in my head going "let's gooo" 😂
Man, the busted versions are so wild and such a nice way to add another layer of difficulty to the game. Love how there's jut a whiff of greater power in there.
The B-side characters are not only harder. Some are actually easier than the regular characters, while some are just different. It really feels like 17 completely different characters.

I don't know if anyone else has taken strange attractor, but i found that it's actually extremely good in repentance. It seems to only attract enemies once the tear is a certain distance from isaac, so they don't fly toward you. This allows for some pseudo homing tears that, if you have high range, will actually pull enemies away from you
You're correct. Here's a direct quote from the patch notes: "Strange Attractor tears now pull enemies in with less force at first, but increase in magnetization as they travel."
in b4 they make C-side characters in a few years that can only be unlocked by using a B-side character inside of the house you get teleported to using "Death's Certificate"
to unlock a c-side character, you will need to use a reversed tarot card on the b-side character that unlocked it (reverse stars on isaac, reverse lovers on maggy) in a special room on the death certificate floor
Had some surgery at the end of last week and have been laid up for a week on the sofa. These new Isaacs couldn't have dropped at a poggier time for me. Thanks!
When an oven heats up it applies constant heat, which can burn or dry out the food. You don't preheat to 'save time' or to 'cook faster.' The pre-heat is so you don't blast your food with a scorching element any more than you need to. Some food actually cooks well this way, bacon for example, but you should preheat your oven, you will burn your food less and be surprised that you were doing that before.
Yeah, throwing a pizza in during the preheat cycle is going to give you some cardboard crust exterior with a doughy middle and dry toppings. It's not like preheating the oven is some con from Big Oven.
I am so happy that NL uses facecam now. I have watched him for so long, and after seeing him with facecam again it just would feel sad for me not to see his wonderful face and reactions to things happening on screen. Keep it up good sir. The changes to your channel have been excellent, even if it veers from what I was used to before.
The most winnable run I have ever seen
"Isaac by committee" sounds like an invitation for someone to make Isaac Crowd Control (if it doesn't already exist). I would love to see NL play that.
THE CHAOS PLAY
Watching NL tainted eps while doing my own tainted runs feels SO poggy, thanks for the great content NL!!!
Many recipes have times listed and different ovens take different times to heat up, so by preheating the oven you eliminate that element. Same reason you put your eggs in the water after it reaches a boil. Plus, after some research, preheating is important for baking since many ingredients need intense heat right away to properly form your baked good.

NL puts pizza in the oven then just stands in the kitchen for 30min.
At the 17:30 or so mark NL seems to suggest he just hangs out in the kitchen while there are things in the oven... The Oven... As if he's never heard of a timer to remind you to come back before and that if he isn't standing right next to the heaty box it'll do something drastic
Standing next to it is a bit much, but staying in a different room? Idk man that crap is just too likely to lead to you knowing its ready by smelling something burnt
Airfryer vs instantpot is no longer a question with the ninja foodi 2in1. 1 appliance for 90% of your cooking needs.
If no one mentioned this, in order to get transformations other than bookworm now, you have to keep all passive items at all times. You can reroll out of Guppy for example, so to get Spun, you would have to keep all the needles.
Great isaac content as always. Shame he didn't get to use wavy cap at all looking forward to that reaction.
Olympic tickets depend on what sports you're gonna be watching. Things like soccer, your ticket is valid for one match and it's currently about 115 CAD for an A category seat for a match during the heats, but for "shorter" sports like running or swimming, your ticket is valid for a series of events, so you'll still be sitting there for about 2 hours anyways.
Dad's ring is good, but Chaos could be anything. Even a new run.
I think Tainted Isaac is a fun character to play as, even funner than normal Isaac himself.

About the self-cleaning setting on the oven, from what I understand it has a tendency to cause ovens’ coils to go out sooner than usual.
Edit: Like, a use here or there isn’t going to hurt it much, but repeated consistent use will.

Tainted Isaac does not start with the D6, and he can only have 8 passive items at a time. However, item pedestals switch between 2 items.
This character looks so fun to play!
