I sure wish you guys could get your hands on another Hammond XK-3C! That is my first love. It's hard finding them on eBay now that the XK5 has come out. I'd trust buying the XK-3C from KEI because I know you would make sure all the bells and whistles work properly. If you could find another one, I'd rather have it than the Hammond Porta-B because I have the space for it now, as opposed to having to wait until I move into a larger place before I can start enjoying the Hammond Porta-B.

@@nlong8618 I thank you for your reply, but because the XK3-C is no longer being manufactured or sold as new, it would be important for me to purchase one from a merchant with at least a 30-90 day warranty. For some reason, the sound of the ZK5 has not impressed me.
Thomas E. Jones I can’t agree with you and understand what you mean with purchasing that way and also the sound of the XK5. I’ve only played the xk5 once, earlier this year for a short time while visiting a Ken Stanton store in Atlanta Georgia. The xk5 was played through a 3300 W and sound was a bit similar to my XK3c and Leslie 122XB. That’s kind of one of the reasons why I’m hanging on to my XK3c because other than the touch and the feel and the layout somethings still seem the same to me imho.

For portability, these newer keyboards that are being produced are a wonderful gift to the world of music! Still, I still prefer the original vintage B3 and most likely always will. However, it pleases me greatly that large companies are still investing huge sums of money and effort to try to duplicate the sound of the original B3, which tells me that it is the sound that remains popular even as much as the instrument that produced that sound. They may get a computer to one day get the sound just right...I hope to see and hear it...but for me, the "feel" of playing the instrument is also a major factor. For violinists, it is the Stratavarious .....for keyboard and organ players its the B3! Long Live the B3! And as we like to say here at Keyboard Exchange International " Help Us Save the B3's!" Our church is looking for a Leslie speaker for our XK-5. Do you guys have any recommendations?

Are we hearing that Leslie 3300?
Yes, that is correct. I ( Jim Huss) misspoke in this video once and said 330 but it was clarified and corrected with text to 3300. There are other Leslie options that might even sound better like a Leslie 122XB or the 3300 can be enhanced by adding a bass amp to allow for a fuller-sounding low end. For portability, this model XK5 is hard to beat especially when you know how to enhance the sound with extra power and tonal options. Keep in mind, we at Keyboard Exchange International still believe strongly and often find ourselves singing, " Aint Nothing Like the Real Thing Baby!"
