I love my SK1, it's a nice intro to organs because I'm learning about drawbars and basic hammond terms and layout as well as waterfall keys, yet it weighs 20 pounds and nice for gigs. Hoping to upgrade relatively soon!

AND be able to easily pick up the keyboard to go out into the world to make music or jam with your friends. This plan allows musicians to have the best of both worlds of having the real Hammond console and the ability to be more portable when needed. I’m not a huge fan of the modern day Hammond organs, but I did played a sk1 through a leslie 914 and I did not like liked the sound of it going through that Leslie. So I decided to switch to a leslie 122xb , and that made the sk1 sound like it was on fire.
The keyboard stand shown is custom built by one of our team members. They are very heavy duty and protect the organ finish from damage with felt included in the excellent design. We offer these for sale with organ purchase however are not currently making enough of them to market them alone as a part. Perhaps if we get more interest we will consider making more of them but for now needing them for the organs we sell and for customers who have purchased an organ from us in the past. Due to the high quality of the keyboard stand they are not cheap and not everyone would be willing to make the investment. We do know someone who is considering making a mass produced version of our design make from heavy duty plastic at a more marketable price. Stay tuned as we plan to help our friend market the stands if he is able to make them at a reasonable price. Additionally each organ model requires a different design......B3, C3, A-100 all completely different styles required
Not only can he play, he is getter better as every year passes in my opinion. You can actually see and hear him going back about 12 more more years when we first started creating TH-cam videos. For a keyboard that came out that long ago (2011!!!) the SK-1 still sounds pretty good. How much better is the current SKX Pro model?
This is a tremendous keyboard. The Yamaha C-7 piano sound on this keyboard is also spectacular.
