    If I'm a foreign national crossing, i assume it would be better to be there much earlier coz we might need to go thru immigration. You think it would be long? Also does the bus from Woodlands accept any debit card either Visa or Mastercard? Thank you!

    • @UmmiGoesWhere

      Hi, Anna. I'm assuming that as long as you have a biometric passport, you can go through immigration with no problem, but sure, it's always wise to arrive early in case there's anything wrong. And yes, buses in Singapore generally accept contactless debit cards.

    • @UmmiGoesWhere
      @UmmiGoesWhere  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Personally, I think the train is more spacious and comfortable than shuttle buses. We saw a lot of people bringing luggage on the train. And since everyone has to book a seat, there is no standing passenger, hence no issue of overcrowding.

    I have a Philippine passport, and I am planning to go to Singapore, can I stay in Johor Bahru (assuming that accomodations will be cheaper) and then just go to Singapore on a daily basis during my let's say 4-5day stay?

    • @UmmiGoesWhere
      @UmmiGoesWhere  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, technically I don't think there should be a problem. But I'm not sure if there's a limit as to how many times a person can enter and leave a country within a certain period. Perhaps you will need to have all supporting documents ready (hotel reservations, tour bookings, etc) in case it raises suspicion. But to be absolutely certain, it's best to check with the Malaysian and Singapore embassies in your country.

      Hi, I don't have any contact for a private car unfortunately, but public transports in Singapore are super clean, modern, and organized, taking a toddler with you should be very doable even with strollers and all. However, if it's still too much hassle, you can always get a taxi or Grab to the airport. To cross the border, I personally think the train is the best option as long as you book tickets in advance.

    Hi sister I am planning to go to Singapore next month for my relative house warming HDB Flat and this is second visit to Singapore after 10 years. I have three questions. My 1st question is do I have to go to the Singapore Immigration Counter for stamping or am I allowed to use the autogate. The second question what kind of questions usually immigration officers used to ask for Malaysian passport holders. My last question is how much money should I must have to enter into Singapore does the immigration officer will raise it as a issue if amount of money I need to bring didnt fulfill?

    • @UmmiGoesWhere
      @UmmiGoesWhere  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Hi, Ramanathan.
      1. Yes, you will have to go to the immigration counter in Singapore, but they won't stamp your passport. Basically they will just check your digital arrival card because all the details regarding your stay will be there. So you will need to fill up the online form before you go:
      www.ica.gov.sg/enter-transit-depart/entering-singapore/sg-arrival-card
      2. They never asked me anything, but have your answers ready anyway, just in case. It's unlikely that they will ask, but typical questions at an immigration counter are: your purpose of visiting, who you're traveling with, how long you're staying, where you're staying, whether you have a return ticket.
      3. Nope, never been asked how much money I had with me. In any case, you can just tell them you have a debit/credit card that you will use during your stay.
      Hope this helps, and have fun in Singapore!

      Hi, I think it's perfectly doable. There are elevators at the stations, and the trains are spacious enough for strollers. Anyway, the train ride is just 5 minutes and you can easily get a Grab to/from the stations. 🙂

    • @UmmiGoesWhere
      @UmmiGoesWhere  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, it's quite tough to commute by train every day, because like you said, you'll have to book in advance, and to do that, you'll also need to know exactly what times you'll be taking the train. Buses would probably be an easier option.

      Hi, yes, I think Indian nationals need a visa to enter Singapore. Please refer here www.mfa.gov.sg/Overseas-Mission/Mumbai/Consular-Services/Visa-Information

    Hi Madam, I'm from the UK, so thank you for your informative video. Just a quick message to say that I've watched another video on YT about an Australian couple who had trouble finding the shuttle/train departure at JB Sentral and I think they eventually had to catch a bus: th-cam.com/video/TmJPcCerMPg/w-d-xo.html I was wondering if you could advise where they went wrong and if what they say about it not being obvious to find the train is correct? Thank you in advance.
