  • Professor Beth Rickenbach, Ph.D., Community and Public Health faculty leader, explains how our community and public health program gives students the tools to help solve complex health challenges.
The interdisciplinary program focuses on mitigating disease and confronting systemic physical and mental health challenges that impact communities both locally and globally, and encourages civic responsibility to make communities healthier. Graduates are then prepared for jobs and continuing their education in a range of fields from public health and health policy to law, social work, medicine, and allied health fields.
Rickenbach is an associate professor in Psychology and a Gerontologist. She teaches courses in Development and Aging, Research Methods, and Introduction to Public Health.
