Great tool for getting perfect concentricity. I own the LE Wilson expanding die and a few of their mandrills. I love the Cutaway so that you can see how far you're putting the case up onto the expanding mandrill. This works amazing on keeping neck concentricity to zero. This will also keep your neck tension consistent which will help out a lot to prevent vertical stringing. Echo
Question - you ran the brass in the FL die with the expander ball removed, you also had your die set up to give you the shoulder bump you wanted? Then you run the brass in the mandrel die, now you are ready for powder and bullet seating?
Nice Video. L E Wison makes top notch stuff. Hopefully it helps runout. You may wanna check out some Redding Graphite Dry neck lube and its refill. Its part of what our powder is made of. Its a great dry lube for neck sizing. You can simply insert your cartridge into it and it coats the inside of the neck for sizing. You don't have to remove it and its much faster and easier than the q tip. Then apply your lube to the outside. I found another company Hi line Precision that makes the same item. Both are great. Hope that helps.
Great new tool to have if ur trying get the must out of ur handloads. Great live other day . Definitely help me meet more people and get my channel out their.
Is this used for always expanding fired brass or only for new brass? I was using this and it was making my necks way too loose on 30cal. It’s weird to me.
@@APACHE529CREWCHIEF I have a .3065 and .306 and a .307 from them. So not sure. Also use the 21st century kits as well and I got from .308 all The way down to .304 with that one
@@ReloadingQuest the actual mandrel on video looks longer than the pma ones I use, I could be wrong but it looks that way. Mine are about 2 inches. But very well could just seem longer
The peoper domination is 307.5. That is in due to proper neck twnaion and substantially of the brass and brass neck. The qall of the neck will be uniformed and properly expanded to those dimensions to retain bullet tension and neck tension. Reading ia required and comprehensive is fundamental and viscera
I believe that is the I/D of the neck after firing which makes sense to my intermediate knowledge of reloading. Then he reduced it a few thousand less to get a grip on the new .308 bullet.

It just depends on what size mandrel you got. Mine is .3065
@@ReloadingQuest where'd you get the .3065 all i can find is .0375?
@@danielzeitler8169 if you email me I can send you the link to where I got it. But I believe was just off there main site
Are you annealing brass? Looks like you’re getting a lot of spring back. That mandrel should set the neck to .307
I am and that all depends on what size mandrel I have in there. I I remember correctly it was a .306 mandrel
