It's crazy to me when ppl tells van lifer to be safe thanks so much but even being in sticks and bricks you still have to be safe. I feel more safer in my van than when I was in my house. My house was try to get broken in and that freak me out big time aleast with me I feel so much safer in my van because it's smaller and it's only one way to get in and if you get in you will be leaving out in a body bag
Did a 2000 or so Dodge Caravan CV for nearly 2 years and honestly it was not bad. As a Student at Uni it saved me a lot of money for my first years at Uni and then i sold it to study abroad in Germany for a nearly 2.5 years. Now back in the USA and about to start a Masters program I would love a larger van this time, but honestly will probably go right back to a Mini-Van. I am on Campus from 8am until 11pm, i literally just sleep and then start again...crazy to try and pay $1200/month just for an apartment i will not be in...though i do miss having some comforts and stuff...but its not enough to drive me back to working while doing Uni just to have an apartment.
Just wondering how do you handle personal life, like having friends or s significant other? I absolutely love how you're focusing on school and the studying abroad aspect was great.

All of my friends are housed and know my situation, I have open invites to come over if I wish or we go hangout in Nature (rarely rn) or around campus. I am more of an online person, as I like my time to be mine, and most of my friends are the same.
@MsPhillyG absolutely, no worries lol, nothing was even close to offensive 😅. If you are a more social person with stronger roots in your area it is harder to stay local like this, but if you are doing I to travel, it's a lot easier because people will see the experience you are having instead of feeling bad for you.

Oh wow! I also have a. older Dodge Grand Caravan that a close friend gifted me a couple of years ago. I always wondered what I could do to adapt it for habitation in an emergency get-out-of-dodge situation. I wouldn't go as far as she has with physical changes. I already have lots of alternative portable power stations and devices. I so dig her water pump sink, vent fans, mini fridge and privacy curtains... Genius!
Carla. Please add some specifics like what brand solar/power station, kitchen sink, window vents, signal booster, and awning. GREAT JOB ON YOUR NO BUILD. VERY ORGANIZED WITH LOTS OF ROOM. THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR AWESOM NO BUILD VAN.
Love it only thing is depending on what state trying to find a place and park and sleep. I always got harassed because in Alabama you can't sleep in your car, and when I went to the rest stop I was reported for being there for 2days and my tag said Alabama so to stay at a rest stop the same state as your tag was a dead give away, but awesome job converting your van.
