Hey brother, great video. You answered all of the questions I had. I'm considering the same tire setup on my 2020 SS with some American Racing Crossfire 20's. Thank you VERY much!
Thanks for all the help!! 275’s on the rear just isn’t enough! 285 and 305 is the set up I’m looking for. I’m looking for the Ferrara matte bronze rims.
Carry (2) large cans of fix a flat with the tube on the can that screws on. I have a spare but would never charge a tire on the side of a busy road or interstate. Saw some people get hit by a 18wheeler at night changing a tire… never forgot it
I messed up I upgraded to the ZL1 1LE wheels and the fronts stick out more than I would like. You're right on with this video. The rear 325's fit perfect on 19" rim 30 tall. I'll need to change the fronts eventually. For now rock guards are my friend
I have a 2019 Camaro 2ss with the performance package. I got the apex ARC 8 wheels. 19x10 and 19x11 front tires 285/35/19 and rear 305/35/19 so smooth and no issues.
THANKS...your information is VERY HELPFUL & easy to understand. BTW: You have a great looking 50th Camaro. Nothing "gaudy" or over-stated. Kind regards, Ben

Incredible content man, i like how you just cut to the chase and hit every point explicitly as needed. Thanks for the information I definitely learned a lot and now i know what to look out for when getting my new set of rims and tires. +1 sub here💯
Hey bro . Great vid. I have a 2018 ss lookin to get the same tire sizes for my car . You said that going lower and nickin the wheels and that the tire is rubbing on the sidewalls? Did you mean you’re having rubbing issues in the wheel well? Or just bumping into curbs and stuff when you pointed to the line around the rear tire ?
great video and good info. I'm currently running 275/35/20 and 315/35/30 on HRE wheels without issue. I do have thin spacers on rear, but not sure of exact offset. hoping to go to 285/30/20 and 345/30/20 next.
Great video, I have a 2018 RS with 4 stock 20x8.5 25 offset. I’m looking at changing my tires from stock 245/40/20 to 265/35/20. The 265/35/20 tire is .8” wider but .4” shorter. I'm worried that the inside of the tire will rub against the front strut knuckle, do you think they’ll fit?
I’m planning on going fbo, and with more power comes the need for better tires so I’m thinking of going with 305s (also I’m not dropping the car it’s staying on stock ride height) so I think ima be ok to do this, thanks for the info!
The conti’s are great. I’ve even had them at the track. Check out some of my newer videos, I’m procharged & lowered and still running them. 305s almost a must on bigger hp cars. Hope this helps!
Hey bro, thank you for posting your video on how to add wider wheels and tires on your 2017 50th Anniversary Camaro. I have a similar Camaro that I factory ordered. It's a 50th Anniversary Camaro 6 speed manual with mag ride and the dual performance exhaust. I am looking to add 11" wheels to the rear and 10" to the front. The question I have for you is did you also lower your Camaro because I was thinking of doing that as well as adding the wider wheels and tires. Thank you. Terry, Fifty Camaro owner in the West Coast of Canada.
I just got the wheels from phastek, and it says they recommend 305 30 in the back and 275 35 up front....low-key nervous because everyone says they have 285 up front
Thanks for the info. One question, I like the tire sidewalls looking straight vs angled in at all. I have some foose 20x 9 and 10.5 on my 19 SS and hate the look that the tires aren’t atleast perpendicular and scrape too easily. What would u consider the best tire size. I don’t mind if they stick out slightly as I have the mud guards on.
I'm with you, I can't stand the look of a tire on a rim that's on the wide end of the tires safe zone. Depending on the offset of your rims, you can go with 275/35 in the front, and 315/30 in the rear. They are essentially identical in height to each other and the factory SS specs. They are wide and badass looking, and on those rims would be the very opposite of angled in.
Yo i got a fifty I love ing Long Beach I don’t ever see anyone else with this car. I just put the stock ZL1 wheels on my car and it’s looks fire. Thanks for the info...very helpful. I'm hoping u can help me out. I have a set of rims coming in. For the rear I purchased a 20×10.5 +42 offset. Will my tire size 275 35 20 fit that size rim?
Cool vid! I just ordered 20x9 +35 [fronts] & 20x10 +25 [Rears] and wrapping them with 285/30R20 and 305/30R20 for my 6th gen/50th anniv. Same tire specs as yours but the wheel widths differences is now making me nervous.
You’ll be okay but those size tires are a little over what is preferred for those width wheels. Tires may poke out a little wider than the wheel but it shouldn’t cause you any issues. Congrats on the new wheels!!
If you have the same offset and those spec tires you’ll be good 👌🏽 congrats on wheels, it’s gonna change the whole look of your car bro. What kind of wheels did you go with?
WhisperThang Great, I went with some Zl1 1LE style wheels gloss black same spec as your wheels. If there’s enough room after I install them, I’ll be be looking into lowering it.
I’m getting 285/30/20 front and 305/30/20 MRR 1LE replica wheels with the F-1 super car good year tires. I shouldn’t have a problem with rubbing in the back ?

I was going to get a zl1, but I heard it rides rough. So I'm going to get a 2ss because it has tour mode. My question is can I put a super charger on my 2ss?
I got the stock wheels on my 2017 Camaro 1ss setup 245/40r20 275/35r20. Would I be fine with 275/35r20 305/30r20? I need rear tires badly since I just brought it with almost dull tires.
WickedLikeABoss I wouldn’t recommend it. Some people have done it but the tire is pretty pinched. Also you may need to relocate harness in the rear to help with rubbing. That’s pretty wide on the stock wheels. If it were me I would look for a good set of 255/265 & 285 tires. But again others have done it, so it’s whatever you feel confident with
ZT Zoomin thanks man I appreciate it! I will go with what you say because I know nothing about tires, Fitment, offset nothing lol I don’t want to have any issues with the car for sure! 255/40r20 and 285/35r20 sounds perfect until I’m able to afford better wheels and stuff
Hey! Welcome to my channel. I don’t know for sure, 315/35 is a pretty tall sidewall. I know a 305/35 will fit if you move the speed sensor. Check out this website to get an idea of how tall the tire will be in comparison to stock tiresize.com/calculator/ Click on tire comparison and you can compare them to stock. Might help give you an idea. Wish I could be more of help and give ya a better answer
That will work you will need at least an 3mm spacer. The only problem you might run into is the tire hitting the fender well on low dips in the road. I'm currently running 315 30 20 with no issues I really want to go up to the 35 tall tire when these runs out...
Idk how wide your M017 is. Assuming it’s a rear wheel at 10 or 11” then yes it should. But 295/40 is pretty tall. That nearly 2 inches taller than the stock ss rear tire. You might run into problems there
I got wheels custom order from Paul @pkautodesign and the tires I got from America’s tire. I listed the exact specs I got for everything in the description
If you switch to the same set up as I did from an SS, it’s something like 1.5 mph off at 100 mph. So if your speedo says 100 mph, you’re going 101.5 mph
Darren Wright no hasn’t been an issue. With slightly less offset than the 1LE the front wheel pokes out 3 mm less than 1LE. Rocks haven’t been an issue
WhisperThang thanks! I’m getting 20x10 and 20x11. Some people say you can’t do 285/35 or else you’ll rub. Some say yes, other say no. So idk lol but I guess it does work!
ThatAlphaCamaro 285/35 up front I think you’ll be okay until you lower it, I believe that is when people begin to run into issues. I’m running 285/30 up front

Hey! Welcome to my channel.
I don’t know for sure, 315/35 is a pretty tall sidewall. I know a 305/35 will fit if you move the speed sensor.
Check out this website to get an idea of how tall the tire will be in comparison to stock

Click on tire comparison and you can compare them to stock.

What issues?

Will this setup fit my 2021 LT1?

I’m 285 on the back stock. I’m doing research now to see if I can do 305 lol
What’s the front tires size?
Can I fit these on my 2011?
Anyone run into issues with 305/35/20 on the back?
Can I put 285/35/20 in the rear of a 2018 Camaro v6 ?
should be okay.
Would a 295 40 20 fit on a M017 wheel ? @WhisperThang
Idk how wide your M017 is. Assuming it’s a rear wheel at 10 or 11” then yes it should.
But 295/40 is pretty tall. That nearly 2 inches taller than the stock ss rear tire. You might run into problems there
Would it be better with 315
A 315 would make the tire even taller. Need something like a 305/30 or 295/35.
Ay bro can I fit exactly what you got on a 2017 50th anniversary” camaro rs
Yup
@@ZtZoomin can you put the link where you got the wheels and tires that would be helpful a lot thx man
I got wheels custom order from Paul @pkautodesign and the tires I got from America’s tire. I listed the exact specs I got for everything in the description
@@llzach743 how did it went bro
You sound like E40!!
I have upgraded to wider. I didn’t know it throws the speedometer off
What was the speed limit that you were hitting before? And now?
@@ZayZion3 I honestly don’t know. I just seen some one side it throws it off. I honestly can’t tell.
If you switch to the same set up as I did from an SS, it’s something like 1.5 mph off at 100 mph. So if your speedo says 100 mph, you’re going 101.5 mph
@@ZtZoomin oh okay. I did 285/35 20 up front and 305/35 20 rear.
I believe that’s a taller tire & you will be going slightly slower than your speedo
Whats is offset? Is it positive or neg? Sorry new to this
No worries. Pretty sure positive offset
And this should work for a 2016 ss right?
Thank u btw
Yes sir. And np, I appreciate you watchin’ my videos 💯
Good video.
Preciate it
What tint you have in back and side drive side ?
5% for the back three windows and 15% on the two side windows
Thanks 🤗🤗real nice 🔥🔥
Preciate it dawg 💪🏽💯💯
Hey man will 45 and 25 offset work fine?
I’m not totally sure and I don’t want to give you bad info
@@ZtZoomin no worries! Thanks for taking the time to reply!
Np 💪💯🏁
I still didn’t understand shit about tires lol I’m slow
305-30-20
Do you get any rocks thrown up,
Darren Wright no hasn’t been an issue. With slightly less offset than the 1LE the front wheel pokes out 3 mm less than 1LE. Rocks haven’t been an issue
Do you have mag ride ?
Yup, your car is dope bro👌🏽
WhisperThang thanks! I’m getting 20x10 and 20x11. Some people say you can’t do 285/35 or else you’ll rub. Some say yes, other say no. So idk lol but I guess it does work!
ThatAlphaCamaro 285/35 up front I think you’ll be okay until you lower it, I believe that is when people begin to run into issues. I’m running 285/30 up front
So i can't lower my car with these wheels?
jorge pirsch if you have the same spec wheel & tire setup I mention in the video, you shouldn’t have any issues when you lower your car.
Perfect thanks bro, any plans in lowering? Love you're car!
Thanks. Yeah probably in the next month or so
I have 1 1/2" in the front when it’s really cold, nothing in the back. Sticking out for sure not into tucking it in. JK brother!
Just lower it a bit maybe

If those are 19 inch wheels, you can fit 325/30/19s on a 19x11 et43
Edit: nvm you’re running 20s
Lol no worries. Still might help out someone on 19s 💯💯
