The fan needs to be on the inside and power cord pushed through the hole on the left. I guess either way will work but looks like they designed it that way!

I have mixed feelings on it. Looks okay, wasn't thrilled with the idea that it showed up with mold on it. I guess my main question is, given that you're assembling it on a CNC table, why didn't you design and build one before? Cost would have been comparable (if not less) and quality would definitely be higher.
nice unit onthe bigger more expensive CNC Woodworking Machines they use a 4 sided Whisker style enclosure surrounding the Router and bits to contain the saw dust to be vacuumed out that unit moves with the Router and works very well as a rule in my former Shop we usedWeeke brand Multi Axis / self changing Router bit machines to machine parts for our inHouse CommercialCabinet line
We just got the enclosure yesterday... The fan plug and adapter plug don't fit... lol its an easy fix as I have many adapters lying about and had one with the right voltage and AMPs etc and the right plug
Great video. Would have been nice to add some smoke to see how well the fan worked. I use a Josstick for these types of issues, works well, cheap and added benefit is that it smells good 😂
a bit pricy....I have built two nice enclosures for less than the cost of that one. But I am a long time woodworker and so that is part of the hobby. You are also a woodworker so would you have paid for that if they had not sent it to you?
If I were doing the craft shows then yes. I like the fact that it is easy to setup and it breaks down for easy storage in the car or truck to transport.

Can you tell me what type of fan you bought. I got this enclosure for Christmas and already I need a better fan. The amount to soot and dust left inside and on the module was awful. I’m hoping to move my Xtool back out to my porch when it gets warm.
This is the Comgrow air Purifer. I must saw that I can no longer recommend this air purifier because you can not get the replacement Hepa or the charcoal filters.
I found that to be true when I did research on the air purifiers. I ended up with OMTECH 80W, w/ single hose. You can buy filters at different places on line.
Paw Paw shows towards the end of the video that the enclosure is normally used to enclose the xTOOL D1 and D1 Pro Laser engraver. It may fit other brands of Laser engravers too.

Portability is the main reason. There are many people who go to craft shows. This enclosure is light and is easy to setup and take down.

Just curious - Comgrow air purifier vs venting to outdoors? Will the air in the room of the laser be the same and how long will the filters last?
Venting outdoors will always be the best. Even with the very best of filtration, you will still get some smoke in the shop

What about when you need to use risers ? Not sure this enclosure would work. Nice video and good explanation of the pros and cons
