I love when Jerry and Goerge are hiding their mouths which apprently originally they were just meant to turn away but Jason and Jerry came up with the idea of using everyday gestures to hide their mouths
Fun Fact: Marlee Matlin, is the woman who plays the lip reader. At the Oscars She Won best Actress in 1987 in her acting debut. Matlin became the youngest Oscar winner to win best actress (21) and the first deaf actress to win an Oscar. She Also plays the mother in CODA (2021). She lost all hearing in her right ear, and 80% of the hearing in her left ear at the age of 18 months due to illness and fevers. It's great to see her doing well.

Love the moment after Jerry and George have their hidden lips conversation at the table and Jerry asks Marlee’s character ‘Laura’ if she will be the lip reader at the party. Without even waiting for Jerry to finish, she says, “Sure, i’ll do it!” implying that she heard them all the while. Great episode. I understand you have to cut a lot to get it down to 5 min, but I wish Kramer's "she doesn't know what she's talking about!" had been kept in.
George deserved that. Not only was he a terrible person for spying on his ex, he got a disabled person to help him do so, then insulted her for doing so. What an asshole.

It's funny how kramer doesn't know how to sign but he can't somewhat know what they were saying when she was signing. Wish I can understand a language even if I can't speak it
He knows. Earlier in the episode, he mentioned knowing ASL, but he also mentioned that he hadn't done it in a while, so he probably didn't remember everything.
Kramer: Hey, George, I saw you on TV yesterday. George: Really? At the tennis match? Kramer: Yeah you were at the snack bar eating a hot fudge sundae. George: Get out of here. I didn't see any cameras there. Kramer: Oh, the cameras was, vrooom, there. The announcers, they made a couple of cracks about you. George: Cracks? What were they saying? Kramer: That you had ice cream all over your face. They were talking about how funny you looked. George: Maybe Gwen saw it. Maybe that's what did it. Kramer: Well I'll tell you it wasn't a pretty sight. George: She must have seen me eating it on TV. Jerry: So she sees you with hot fudge on your face and she ends it? You really think she would be that superficial? George: Why not. I would be.
I love how they went to so much trouble to hide their lips and she still didn't miss a word. 😂

This show is pure gold .
Gold, Jerry, gold!
Yes it is gold, no doubt about it!!!
Norfolk has more gross tonnage
The whole thing is funny but when she accidentally backhands George, that sealed it for me 😂
One of my favorite episodes; George is so brutally honest with his faults: why not I'm superficial! Ha.
That scene with Jerry and George trying to hide their lips from a lip reader is one of my favorites 😂
George definitely deserved that smack at the end😂
For once this is the only time lol
I love how Kramer keeps on translating even when George is directly speaking to Gwen and translations are no longer necessary.
idk why he never went straight to Gwen to see what they said, instead of going thru Kramer dumbass
It’s almost like that’s the joke or something
The quality of these clips is so CRISP
I love how they cover their mouths while talking.
After all that, she says I'll do it. LMAO!!
You do realize that's the point right? To do stuff viewers like and to do things that are funny.
@@lambdalambdalambdaa No way…

I came here just for that!
Awesome thanks! Loved her in CODA
She's hot
4:04 "And she says...oh boy. 'Love to.' "
"Ah, my eye, my eye!" is just a brilliant end to this well scripted scene.
I love how for this piece of comedy to make sense "sweep" and "sleep" have to rhyme in sign language.
Hahahaha totally which of course is ridiculous
Oh I always thought it was Laura's fault misreading their lips
@@CharlieQuartz She doesn't misread it though :O Kramer says the wrong word even though she is signing correctly lol
Kramer's sign language look like Tor Eckman's hand gestures.
This is such an underrated scene.

I love her.
Seen the covering of the mouth while talking scene many time’s, puts a smile on my face every damn time, classic.
Kramer's poor sign language skills 🤣 he unknowingly sabotaged the whole plan
He confused sweep with sleep.
really? well, I would have never guessed that, you're very perceptive
The funniest part of this clip when they tried hiding their lips, that was so original 🤣🤣🤣🤣 2:09
