I live in Valencia, a city in Spain where Beyma speakers are manufactured. I have been installing Beyma in all my cars for 25 years. And they have always been considered one of the best brands in the world. Congratulations on your video.
Just got the Beyma 6GM/Nd after watching these videos. The vocals and surprisingly the midbass sound excellent, controlled and real loud at high volume crossed between 80 hz -18db and 2.5khz -18db. Running on 400rms each in fully deadened doors. They'll even play down to 50 hz nicely with lower volume.
Add a dsp if you're going to run your midrange not midbass speakers at 50hz they can handle it but a dsp gives you full control and you can push these harder with steeper slopes on your crossover's
@@casemods My 6Gm/Nd's rated freq response is 90-12000 hz but not many people are going to high pass their midrange that high for any decent sq. The Prv is still very good but too peaky on the higher frequencies for me after hearing it in person
You're doing the community a great service. Most channels buy one speaker and say it's the best based on some bias or lack of comparison, you go the extra mile to compare them.
Listening on good Audio Technica headphones through a HiFi Quad Dac...to my ears the Beyma embarrassed the PRV. Smoother, more detailed, stronger midbass, and full sounding. The PRV, while not bad, just seemed harsh to me. Great for being heard over a few thousand watts of subwoofers, but on the sound quality side, didn't do much for my ears. Between the two I'd go Beyma all day. Paired with a nice set of tweeters, I'm sure they'd be much more pleasing, musically. I realize listening to speakers on TH-cam isn't ideal, but still, much can be heard and learned. Keep up the cool vids! Much enjoyed!
Bro the new setup is looking sick 😍😍 no we talking, love how you growing this channel 😎💪 Orions1600 vs orions 1800 is what I'm waiting for.. Then winner vs prv 😊
Guys we are failing to understand. I am a audio engineer and when we say midrange we talking about midrange and that means no highs over 6k and no lows lower then 1k. Baymas are doing the midrange right. The prv are to bright over 6k. The midrange vocal voice is not as sharp as bayma. Prv way to damn bright I don’t want highs and lows from midrange. All saying bayma will forever do the midrange correct.
Love the reviews! Still waiting to hear a comparison with the Crescendo Mid-range models. Congrats on you're growing channel. Its nice to see mostly positive comments for a change. Keep up the good work.
I Ben a bass head for many many years and all my life I Ben searching for a hood mids holy moly that beyma speaker is no joke all day prv is ok but bayma is very very crisp loud
Hi I have two suggestions (1) could you use a bandpass crossover to even out the playing Ground between the speakers because most people are going to use Tweeters with the speakers and (2) could you find a way to give the 8 ohms speaker's the same power versus 4 ohms speaker's that way it will be a fair comparison thanks amd I appreciate your efforts for the experimentation
Like he was saying these are on different spectrums for your midrange your beyma will play lower frequencies and your PRV will play higher frequencies they're both incredible speakers but you need to figure out what your going to need midrange wise neither 1 of there are midbass and depending on your application is it a car or a powersports vehicle since this is pro audio it doesn't need power to play loud don't get wrapped up in wattage
Great review, I’ve never heard of beyma and so far they are my new favourite. Being in Australia we don’t get a lot of the brands you do and not many companies on amazon will ship to Australia. Keep up to good work mate.
Get a skybox from your local freight forwarders in Australia, that way you could ship to a city/port in the US and then to Australia. You pay more but you could buy anything online from Amazon, eBay etc……
You never heard of beyma because they are a pro-audio speaker not made for cars. Putting them in a car is just a step up as you are using the best speaker in the world for your car. PRV are built for cars and will never enter the ProAudio space for that reason.
Thats a weird comparisson. One midwoofer can be able to reach 7 khz and the other 5khz. If you add tweeters and x-over at 3khz then it might be that the woofer that "only" reaches 5 khz linearly sounds better until 3khz than the one reaching 7khz sounds untill 3 khz. So you have to test them both low pass filtered at the same frequency if you want a realistic scenario. How high a midwoofer can reach is not enough to predict its sound quality. Aluminum membranes many times break up at 5-6 khz and yet some of the best 2 way monitors have these aluminum drivers cause they sound superb all up until 4khz. So either lowpass filter the woofers at 3-4 khz (both at the same though) or use tweeters and listen again. This test is like comparing two tweeters and judging how it will sound in a 2 way system because one tweeter has more bass. It makes no sense cause it is completely out of context.
I think people are confused because in the background the speakers spinning are opposite orientation compared to the way they are on the table, but clearly the prv's are better
Beyma durability is incomparable, i love prv but prv is for a normal guys who dont wanna buy different functionality speakers, however they tend to fail more as the speaker at high volume doesnt always send out clarity where the beyma sounds the same but you do need to add twitters and compression horns and base speakers but you ll have a beast sound quality
This is an interesting review. I can see why the Beymas are more expensive. They both have their own strengths. You just have to pick what is the best for you. The beymas play lower, have a flatter response while the PRVs can give you that extra high frequencies, start tapering off at like 100 and something hz so your choice is based on preference. Keep this videos going! We support you
Had 4 of these prv on a 4,000 2 channel amp and they sound it amazing. Now have them on a taramps 2000x4 my other amp was way to big. Anyways they sure can take alot of power
I'm running Alpine Type r tweeter and mid bass on all doors of my car. I'm running on a Alpine PDX-V9 amp with a JL Audio 12" W6v3... I think I'm switching my speakers to PRV. Just ordered PRV bullet tweeters next is midbass

U had me confused how the speakers not in the right places...the ones that's turning around are on the wrong side🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️.. I thought the beyma was the prv and the prv was a beyma
Lets address the elephant in the room. Beyma cost more because import taxes from spain into the US are insane while import taxes from south america (brazil) are quite not. Go to spain and see what they cost over there retail. 1/2 the price of what they cost in the U.S.
It would be very helpful to know the rms you feeding these speakers or at least voltage setting, even adding a cheap multi meter would show. thanks for the reviews and all your doing. Also check out rockville Rm64pro, nice speaker for the price.

I would like to see something set up with DSP/filters/cross overs where you can bump select frequencies and see how they handle. with either set up being a single voicecoil setup people are going to be adding other speakers to fill out the ranges. I like the PRV for a single speaker solution but there are coax speakers in the same price ranges that would do more so wont find a niche there. I would like to hear clean songs (not just frequency tones that vibrate brvrvrvrvrvr) but filtered for different ranges.
Also if you could match up with how the speakers are playing on the table vs the background that would help confusion. They were flip flopped. Either way i still come back for reviews
yep it`s hard to choose from both but I like orions natural sound And price but Prv also really good speaker I`m talking about neos now time to chose for 1 PVR price you can get orion with tweeters and Orion will sound better for sure )
This is not a good comparison. The Beyma model goes up to 9khz and PRV goes to 13khz. Ofcourse the PRV will sound "louder" because of the high frecuency range, but Beyma is a more dedicated quality midbass midrange driver. Beyma all the way
You are mistaking volume with quality, which shows you don't know much about music. Remember, you are testing a midbass speaker, not a full-range one. You even confuse midrange with midbass - which are two different worlds.
Beyma will take more power at lower frequency the prv sounds louderbecause it plays higher frequency but will have distortion at higher volume I will go beyma and add high frequency driver
I’ve been PRV till I die for a long time. But I have to admit (and I have these prv’s in the front of my Harley) the beyma is cleaner. I just pulled all 4 of my orIginal PRV 6x9s (the php midrange) and replaced them with the MR Bullet 6x9s. I can’t decide which I prefer. The new Bullet line has an Impressive bass punch that the mid 6x9 didn’t have, but they killed the mid range sound too much. You can see on the spec sheet for them, and when hooked up you can hear it. Don’t get me wrong, the sound range they were able to accomplish with the bullet line is nice. But they are very hard to tune. Even with a dsp, Everyday I’m tweaking the 15 band differences. And now with all these mid ranges with horns in the center popping up, I may be pulling everything and starting all over.
You have the speaker icon on the wrong location if you didn’t noticed! Where you have the prv speaker you have beyma speaker floating on top.. and vice versa
So you have the speakers switched according to your floating pics. PRV is on our left Beyma is on our right But your floating pics show PRV on our right Bema on our left.
A far-reaching driver is difficult to filter (3-4 order crossover required). It is better to take a simpler driver for a specific task, which will then be easier to work with.
you guys are lucky, best speakers for a budget, in the uk you have to spend alot of cash to get the same as above. If i ordered i would be charged 120% on tax and delivery
7:40 the PRV sounds wet, like diluted in the frequencies that it is made for, the beyma sounds like a reference driver... (remember they alone should not play high frequency) that beyma is made to be a component driver of a speaker array, a tweeter, a woofer, a sub, that prv is not only trying to do 2 jobs, but doing them worse, it sounds like a really bad full range, crackling highs and not delivering defined midlows and voice.
Me n my homie both have scatpack chargers. We both have the same setup as far as speaker amount. 3 8s in the deck 1 8inch in all doors 3 tweeters in the dash. I went prv mr series he went beyma. Not only is mine louder it also was about 700 dollars cheaper lol. I will say i did have to recone 2 speakers but its no competition PRV is king. Them beyma guys only say its better cause they paid more n are butt hurt😂😂😂
The prv are a copy of the beyma!!! Beyma for the win... when you have been listening to speakers for years its nit always about loud speakers but clear sound that won't hurt your hearing!! And thats the diffrence!! The speakers are not tweeters!!!
@@casemods dude I'm talking in reference to that setup. I personally don't run pro audio drivers except on my motorcycles. In my car I run hybrid audio, of 3 ms275, and JBL GTI 15" sub sealed. I never owned skar, audiopipe, sundown or any of these spl brands. So um my life is good 😂
What are you powering these speakers with? PRV seems the way to go if you have alot of subs and want to hear the words and the Beyma seem like the way to go if you want more of a surround sound with subs.
Sundown Audio has a neodymium , too, Mike. It's apparently not exactly a full range, but it handles crazy power. Check out the Sundown Audio Neo pro 6.5 v.3.

A far-reaching driver is difficult to filter (3-4 order crossover required). It is better to take a simpler driver for a specific task, which will then be easier to work with.
i would like to see taramps 6in fr-400s vs prv 6mr400-bullet
you guys are lucky, best speakers for a budget, in the uk you have to spend alot of cash to get the same as above. If i ordered i would be charged 120% on tax and delivery
120f tax Holly crap!
Now you confuse ass man i was thinking about get some Oriones and that prv gust amazing
7:40 the PRV sounds wet, like diluted in the frequencies that it is made for, the beyma sounds like a reference driver... (remember they alone should not play high frequency)
that beyma is made to be a component driver of a speaker array, a tweeter, a woofer, a sub, that prv is not only trying to do 2 jobs, but doing them worse, it sounds like a really bad full range, crackling highs and not delivering defined midlows and voice.
Lol no.
Thank you for sharing this information 🫡
The prv are a copy of the beyma!!! Beyma for the win... when you have been listening to speakers for years its nit always about loud speakers but clear sound that won't hurt your hearing!! And thats the diffrence!! The speakers are not tweeters!!!
5 minutes in, PRV for the win!
Those Beymas with a nice compression horn or even a pair of Skar tweeters and you all set with a really good x-over
Skar? Get your life together man.
So um my life is good 😂
Beyma in the end win no doubt
the picture's was on the wrong side so it's the prv u heard and say it sounding cleaner when it's the prv u was hearing thinking it was the byema
What are you powering these speakers with? PRV seems the way to go if you have alot of subs and want to hear the words and the Beyma seem like the way to go if you want more of a surround sound with subs.
Test Orion 6.5 HCCA 654 NHP 1800 watts 450 RMS Please VS Beyma
Sundown Audio has a neodymium , too, Mike. It's apparently not exactly a full range, but it handles crazy power. Check out the Sundown Audio Neo pro 6.5 v.3.
If a mid-range putting to much high tone it's not doing it job.
3:50 sounds like a piece of an exquisite piece of china..... i rather using beyma , real crossovers and real tweeters
