Hi good video, I have connected my router and 2 satellites, I want to add another satellite far away from the wifi range, can i add another satellite with wired connection
Quick question, i have 3 TVs that are wired in Ethernet cable straight from my router, if i bought an orbi would i use the orbi just for the wifi, and leave the Ethernets plugged into my old router, or would they need to go into the orbi. Many thanks
Hi can you told it normal that light on the Orbi satellite not have after, I mean the blue light come and after away x that normal the box should to have blue light to show all the time. But why not have and the router yes always have light on
Hello . Thanks for a great video . Is the set up the same for newer WiFi 6 systems ? Also how to make sure you use the same credentials for your old network so all your devices will connect automatically to the new orbi network ? And how to set a guest network. Thanks v much
What’s the current status of these? Are you happy and would recommend? I have a long ranch house and have some walls between each of the access points. Also have a bonus room above at one end of the house.
Generally i'm pleased with it, I have a 3 storey house and its been fairly stable. It does occasionally drop but i recon thats due to my google home. Signal is good thoughout my house and yes I would recommend.
Thanks for a great video. Question, a) does the main one (Orbi Router) will stay connected via cable with the internet (such as Virgin media hub)? or after set up the cable can be disconnected? b) I just moved to a double-story house (G Floor, 1s Floor, 2nd Floor) so I guess I will need 3 devices (same as you) (1 Orbi Router + 2 Settelites)? (Router stay connected with Virgin hub and 2 satellites go to 1st and 2nd floor). Thank you for your help in advance.
this might sound like a stupid question, but for someone who doesnt know a lot about technology: can you use the router unit as the main modem for your internet? or do you have to connect the orbi router unit to a separate modem unit?
Fantastic video! But, I do not understand why you call it a "Rooter"? It's job is to ROUT the connection, not ROOT it. So it is a ROUTer not a ROOTer. Just saying....
They make it technically possible, but more difficult. I personally HATE the stupid cell phone setup concept. It is buggy, limited, and positively agitating.
OMG Apple Airport routers have had this feature for like a DECADE....but sure fine. I just got an Orbi and it's awesome and they're discontinuing the airport routers...boo.

Just a question : how do you interact with your mobile without touching it ? Which softwares do you use ? Thanks

Leave your existing Ethernets connected and plug orbi into router.
@@GeekStreet thanks
@@stephenlivesey1 you're welcome.
@@GeekStreet will that not mean that my tvs will be on a different network tho, and i wont be able to control tvs with my phone
@@stephenlivesey1 all depends on the TV setup, alot of the time it works fine. I have a similar setup and it works.

@@GeekStreet I think I’m sold. Thank you very much for the reply! Very good video!
Is it necessary to connect all the satellites to the router? Can i connect satellite with another satellite? Thanks
No you don't have connect all of the satellites. I only use one and just turn on the second if required.
Thanks for a great video. Question,

Thanks, yes the main orbi stays permanently connected to your existing Internet router and perfect for a 3 storey house a device on each floor.
If you have virgin media router and orbi as a router won't you be showing two WiFi names?
this might sound like a stupid question, but for someone who doesnt know a lot about technology:
can you use the router unit as the main modem for your internet? or do you have to connect the orbi router unit to a separate modem unit?
No unfortunately not.
What was the “WiFi analyser” app that you used to test the system after you installed it in your home? Was that an included app with the Orbi gear?
That's from the google play store.
Do you leave your Virgin router in modem state or as a router and does it generate a new WIFI address
Leave in router mode.
Do they have different serial number?thanks
What's the reliability like? E.g. does it lose sync and need to be reconnected much/ever?
Seems good I not had to resync.
@@GeekStreet Thanks.
How good is the wifi if I go Ethernet with a satellite because we just baught that
It's good.
Is this a one time buy?
Great WiFi
Yes definitely!
Can you keep doing set Up videos
I'll still be doing, anything in particular you'd like to see?
Fantastic video!

Thanks, I'm in the UK and thats what its called here.
Why do we need a dang cell phone to set all this up.. is it possible to do this without a phone?
