There is something about Onyx E bikes that are like no other on the market, and it’s not necessarily the fact that they were a 72 V bike that was being offered back in 2017 when there were jo bikes on the barker that warmers like the race
the market, but it’s The fact that like old cars, they can be restored at some point in the future.

i think they might be trying to clear inventory, I don't know the business side of things with their debts etc but I think their rep is damaged because of the way they fell, that said I think is they do come back fully they could be good again seeing how business was booming in actual sales with the of owner despite debts.

Yeah i would be hesitant of buying simply because it seems like they might just be trying to recoup losses… and not necessarily bringing the company back and supporting customers. I would Not feel super confident in ONYX customer support until they have drmonstrated the company is back to some extent

As someone who owns a CTY2, I personally believe that the only legitimate concert I would have if it were considering the purchase of an RCR or even the CTY2 up until these new RCR LTD’s were made available, was the battery.
Now that amorge is said to be manufacturing the batteries in the onyx bikes, I would no longer hesitate to buy one of the bikes, not in the slightest bit actually!

My 41ah onyx battery just suddenly stopped working after 6 months. I was considering an Amorge 40ah battery. The new 45ah battery is the most affordable yet

My Onyx CTY2 tops out at 54 mph, so it's kind of surprising to me that the RCR doesn't go much faster than that.

Hey man curious to get an ebike. Was eyeing the wired freedom. Looks decent and power is nice. What ebikes out there you suggest?

@@patrickoneill1011 I don’t like the CEO of wired he’s a dick, But the bikes are a solid 40mph option. ecells are good too, they are a competitor to wired. Really you can just get a 1000w bafang hub motor and put it on 72v and itll go 40mph. There are bikes that can do 35+mph on 52v as well. Depends on your riding style and preference. Lot of people like the moped style bikes like a Revv1 or this onyx. I like a bike with actual bicycle geometry which many e-bikes aren’t.

First of all no one is mentioning that the website has a different name, so this is not the same company.
The original company probably still fighting in court
    Old company was Onyx Motorbikes
This new company is Onyx Motors
So is most likely that the old owner and designer Tim started a new company and somehow he got a deal with one of the parties withholding inventory, there were several parties holding inventory.
They are probably launching this new company with a different name until things get cleared out with the old company last time I checked the Oxygen company was the one holding the most inventory and assets.
So they are officially the old company they have the bikes that were not able to be shipped due to the money that was own to the delivery company.

yeah , I see on their TH-cam in a video they have commented "We are now under new management, ONYX Motors Inc., not to be confused with any management or entity prior to today's announcement." whatever that might mean

It looks like a log on wheels to me. The whole story is why a credit card should be used buying things online. Then the charges can be disputed if the products not delivered. Merry Christmas to all.

Problem with ebike “pre orders” months in advance, is the credit card chargeback period expires
