  • And old composition (like many from Lockdown times), performed by @ComposersOrchestra.
    Programme Note:
‘A gentle cello drone. A few simple notes in the viola. Distant raindrops fall as the harp picks up a handful of lost notes. The setup of Epilogue is simple, and almost incomplete in a way. The piece doesn’t try to prepare us for a grand melody or lead up to a pompous finale. It’s an endnote, an afterword. Picking up leftovers and scraps, and being, in essence, as little as it can be. Its structure is split in two and does not allow for reminiscence: Once discarded, the tune does not return; the orchestra fades off into a peaceful cascade of woodwind notes before coming to rest on the final string of the harp. All stories have been told. Nothing is left to say. This was, merely, an epilogue.’
