The disappointment in your voice is apparent and heartbreaking, but I love the sincerity & honesty in this review. Also, thank's for showing my vid some love!
+itran1 at least the battlefield franchise actually has a completed single player campaign and deep multiplayer. That's another problem with battlefront, it's multiplayer is its main selling point and it has no depth to it.
Thank you Chris for having the balls to not simply jump on the typical Star Wars hypetrain and go the uncomfortable route of pointing out the truth regarding this game. It's a bad Battlefield Mod, which sells 4 maps for +50 Dollars.
Can't wait to pay 40-60 dollar DLCs for galactic conquest, space battles, and all the other features that used to be free in the original. At leas I know they'll put some hard work into it since they cant simply recicle battlefields engine for those.
+Maceta From my knowledge they never said complex features like Galactic Conquest would return at all, even with the DLCs. I suspect it just contains some additional maps and maybe a handful of additional BF3/BF4 ripoff vehicles with Star Wars textures.
In no way shape or form does this feel like a battlefield mod. And also that dlc season pass will include 16 new maps not 4. 4 new hero's, new modes, new customisations, weapons and star cards. While I hate the fact that it is so pricey, compared to a lot of other dlc in different games it actually seems worth it. Plus it most likely will be force awakens content so it's a whole new era being introduced
+tom campbell Comgratulations paying 110 bucks for an incomplete game. That'll show them that they can dig as deep as they want in the butts of their fanboys. Next up prepare to get each map in a diffeeent overpriced DLC.
tom campbell This IS a Battlefield Mod, because it uses the EXACT same engine. It's basically Battlefield Hardline with an unlocked 3rd person view on infantry and different textures. Graphic fidelity hasn't even improved. The only new thing introduced are the "heroes". But let's face it, they are as generic as it gets. You just run around bunny hopping style and spamming 3 special ability buttons.
Its kinda sad what gaming has become now. The spirit of the hobby is gone...its all about ratings, competitive play, DLC, season passes, micro transactions, download-only games etc.
I skipped paying $110 for this shit and bought Kotor, Kotor 2, Battlefront, Battlefront 2, The Force Unleashed, The Force Unleashed 2, and Jedi Academy for like $15 total on steam.
LOL Jedi Academy was the shit back in the day. When I was in high school, my friend and I used to just play that game as soon as school ended until 10 p.m. haha
Yeah Star Wars Battlefront II was, is, and will always be the best Star Wars videogame ever and I loved playing the All Battle Crisis/D-day mod on the PC version.
Its 12 years old and I still play the game and I love it. I played through the campaign yesterday and it was more amazing than I remember. The shooter mechanic and combat still holds up even if the graphics don't. I'd love to see a remaster of Star Wars Battlefront 2
+Jake Foley The idea of a Star Wars video game not having a story mode is so obscenely idiotic that the possibility doesn't even cross the mind of some people. It's not Chris' fault that EA is so laughably out of touch with the IP and its fans.
This was my thought. It was never marketed or advertised to have single player. It's not even supposed to be a sequel. It's a reboot made by battlefield. And 50$ dlc has been a thing since bf3. It's strange this shocks people. Call of duty dlc is also 50 since black ops.

the gaming mulk shake yea but there is like no effort put into them. They feel like... "alright it's the day before launch and we forgot singleplayer so think of something as tak it on
They have added a new game mode called "skirmish". It still has no story and is basically a poor mans version of instant action from the original games. Oh, and it's buggy as hell and only 7 maps 😕
WHY pre-order it? Pre-ordering games is telling the game makers that you approve of everything they did. NOT pre-ordering it and NOT buying it tells them you don't approve....!
I agree with you on so many points, Chris. I love the 20v20 mode but I wish there were more single player elements. And the $50 season pass is a lose-lose. Either I don't get the DLC or i get it and can only play with the other people who did and the number of players will diminish over time faster
+Ali Azri (yayie) "To learn"? You realize that EA was even nominated WORST COMPANY OF AMERICA. And WON. TWICE. (just google it, if you don't believe me) Every person who doesn't live under a rock should've noticed by now.
+Fire Ronin I'm buying Rogue Leader III on Amazon now. Have you tried the Lego Star Wars games? They are definitely the best way to experience both the original trilogy and the prequels.
+Fire Ronin The only thing good that came out of Battle front was my interest to go back to those game, I took my gamecube out and started playing Rogue squadron 2 & 3. Best decision ever. now those games were made with love for the star wars franchise.
@@accursiusx13 the people that made the movie sequels have a lot to learn from the people that made the Rogue Squadron games, and also the Jedi Outcast games etc 😵
+iKavix Fuck it, even at £50 with all that extra DLC coming out it won't be on the same level as Fallout. £120 for a glorified multiplayer is RIDONKULOUS
+iKavix I couldn't fucking agree with you more man! I'd just use that money for upcoming games like Just Cause 3 and Xenoblade Chronicles X which have a shit ton of content. :)
+iKavix God I hope EA burns down as company. They've bought out so many other companies and ruined their franchises. Sim City, Sims, Westwood Studios and their glorious RTS games (Tiberian Sun and Red Alert), Command and Conquer Generals, and now battlefront just to name a few... Fuck EA, everything they produce is incomplete garbage they charge $70+ for to make you think it's a complete game.
+X iKrazy $79.99 + $69.99 (season pass) + tax = $169.48 ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY DOLLARS?! And our dollar isnt even absurdly valued like australlia. What the christ?
joe salcce I know I love this game I play it all the time + have season pass. But I still think the price is a bit much. It's basically a 120 dollar game. But I really do love this game
Ben Solis while i hate the fact that I had to pay so much, for me at least this has been my most played game on the new generation and I've loved playing this game since launch
I got it on sale for $35, Deluxe edition, all dlc. Everything. I'm fucking loving it but I can see why people are pissed about the $100-$120 game in total. The games content is good, but that's cause I have the dlc. I'd imagine if I got it upon release I would've been disappointed
It's a shame, EA. This was going to be the first full price game I would purchase since BF4. Fool me once, shame on EA. Fool me twice... No money for you.
+Daniel Ziemba Good choice. Pick up a game that's actually worth it, like The Witcher 3 or Fallout 4. I'm gonna wait for a complete edition next year. It'll save having to pay double for DLC that should've been there at launch.
I think everyone is forgetting what Battlefront is all about: Run, Shoot, Evade Blasters, Die, Respawn, Repeat. Oh and capture the FUCKING command post.
Yeah it was the same in the 2005 vanilla version so ..... As least there is a good other mod in this one, But i didn't say that battlefront 2 has just one mod but clearly not a lot .
"We have captured the command post" "The enemy has captured the command post" *goes to the captured command post* "The enemy has captured the command post, our reinforcement is depleting" - A normal match in Battlefront 2
KOTOR 2 is amazing with the restoration mod and it was on steam for like 3$, not sure if it is anymore. The restoration mod fixes the rush ending and gives a lot of depth to Kreia, making her one of the best characters in the series.
+Peter Kirkbride But at least there is a fan made project whose goal was to make it so that the game was complete. Unfortunately this is not possible with Battlefront 3.
Sad day when you realize that an 5th-6th gen Star Wars games is much more fun, and fully complete compared to an 8th gen game that was in development for 3 FUCKING YEARS.
It's crazy what the gaming industry do nowadays to milk people's money. I Was def going to buy the game and then I heard about the $110 bullshit! Fuck that. Shame Star Wars
+Bruce Same here. Battle of Jakku was the main reason I wanted to buy Battlefront 3. It was the one thing about the new one that makes it stand out from the first two. Battlefront 2 had an Episode III tie-in for 2005, so it'd only make sense for Battlefront 3 to have an Episode VII tie-in for 2015...except the latter is an overpriced expansion pack. X( EA clearly has no respect for supply and demand.
+Bruce It's even crazier, when you consider, that Xbox and PS4 players are also paying so they can actually play online (unfortunatly, that includes me). So I pay 60 bucks for the game, 50 for the DLC and yet again 50 bucks so I can actually play that game online. Gaming nowadays can truly suck....money straight outta a wallet.
This is a multiplayer game, too. That's what it's kind of it's purpose. Like TitanFall. But I get your point about the DLC. Can't spell steal with out EA.
But now Titanfall can be purchased for $10 and all the DLC is free. Plus Titanfall is free on EA Access. I know Titanfall is owned by EA as well, but that will never happen with Battlefront because they know the Star Wars name prints money. There's no way they would be that generous.
+Donovan Loudan well i think its cool to play with your friend and online is a blast. Still dont like the emblems but i have to say that fallout 4 aint a bomb either
The difference between this SWBF and something Like BF or COD is that Star Wars is the most popular franchise ever made. Star Wars games should never be multiplayer only! Star Wars has too much story and source material to an online only (incomplete) game. All the other games had a complete single player campaign so there's no reason to alienate the fans of love Star Wars but aren't multiplayer junkies. Chris would never review a COD game and in addition rant about the lack of campaign..because he's not that's not something he's passionate about..yet the Star Wars universe is. Battlefront is more than a game to many players! It's a cult phenomenon! People who don't even play many games or shooters make an exception for a Star Wars game. Big companies can, have been and will continue to rip off this younger generation when it comes to gaming/DLC etc. But the older and smarter gamers will choose to not be a part of that.
Thank you so much. I’m watching this in 2021 considering buying a PS4 because a) I always buy last gen systems because they’re cheaper and you get to see all the games you might want reviewed on TH-cam rather than impulse buying, and now I’ve seen this (Chris and Jeremy are the most reliable, down to earth reviewers I know of) I now realise I’ve saved money so I might as well wait a few months and get a second hand ps5 because I hear they’re actually backwards compatible. Thanks again, love the channel.
This place ain't like Jeremy's page either. Everyone's gonna rally together and agree upon the 2 main things. 1. This game is lacking significant content 2. Season passes are out of fucking control
I bought it earlier this year for only 10 bucks, and thats because there was some PS+ discount or some shit. Now that the battlefront 2 beta is out they gave away all the dlcs for free.
ive been watching guys go like 65-10 on their matches in kill-death ratio. my personal best was 39-13 on Supremacy. if you are dying that quick online...(mad love for you dude by the way, been subbed for 4 years)... you might just not be very good at online shooters. also, partner spawning eliminates that walking long distance problem completely. i agree about the whole dlc thing though and the limited content. but honestly i have not seen any skilled player have the insta-death problem. i think you might be factoring your skill into this. ill admit it took a few hours to not die a lot but eventually i got the hang of how it plays and got better at map vision and tactics and now the online is a blast. it definitely has a learning curve and the 1st person view is garbage. in 3rd person its great.
Sony God nice dude. i do totally agree with him on his review by the way. im just saying that i find the insta-death and the long walks as relatively weak points in the review based on the evidence i have gathered from my own and about 5 others experiences.
+treant deu Agreed, but I do see where he is coming from. I feel like it's started to become more of a trend with DICE and other shooters where there are just so many different ways to die it becomes convoluted, chaotic and less about simply facing other people online and more about just how long you can survive without being killed any plethora of ways, be it a grenade from below, a mine around the corner, a fighter swooping down, a hero from the side, an AT-ST from behind, an AT-AT from above, and the enemy in front. You end up fighting the games design more than any human opponent.
frustrating, I just got it, and hoped they might have released everything by now. They did just put up some more single player offline (free) skirmish content though, which is nice.
lesson learned, always wait until all the dlc is out before you buy the game. this is what i will do for battlefront 2 if it has a season pass... and it will.
Watched Jeremy Jahns also. You guys have saved me money and a s*** load of aggravation. Imagine if EA had control over The Force Awakens...not a good scenario. THANKS!
+DevynnEBMusic Shit, yeah imagine that. Sadly the reason why companies do this is almost understandable. Video games cost a shit ton of money to make, especially high profile, triple-A games. Whats dumb is that years ago before the new crop of consoles were even out, there were words flying around that "Oh my god the next generation of games are going to cost us more!" because they were talking about standardized game prices going up to like $69.99 instead of $59 that they have been for over 10 years now. People bitched and moaned so the industry stuck with the standard $60 model. But then see, they were sneaky. They're selling us a $60 game, but you're paying that higher price anyway that they wanted to raise the games up to. They just put it in there as "optional" DLC. Yeah, it's optional, especially if you have an online game and "OH MY GOD I must have this map pack because all my friends are playing those maps". So, which would I prefer? I would actually prefer a complete game on day 1 and for it to be priced what it's worth. Though of course some would use that logic and be all "Yeah Fallout 4... content worth about $500!!" Ah, I remember back in the day when I bought my brother FInal Fantasy III for SNES (FF6) for his birthday, and it was brand-new just released, $90. Everywhere. It was a $90 game. And it was fucking worth every penny. Sure, cartridges are more expensive to manufacture, and the battery backup in them made them more expensive for these games. But still, the content of the game itself was well worth the $90 even in 1994 money! (with inflation, that equates to $144 today!!) So yep, keep voting with your dollars. If you dont like DLC, dont buy it. Thats all I have to say
Why nobody mentions Star Wars The Force Unleashed? I know is not a shooter game, but even when someone talks about Star Wars game nobody mentions it. For me as a Star Wars fan is a must play game.
Yes!!!! First game was excellent! I got every achievement on Xbox 360 (including DLC). Completing game on the hardest difficulty was a task and a half, and cost me a new controller due to a nasty rage quit and the controller getting thrown into the next room, but I loved that game 😎
Fuck yeah!!!! Force unleashed was of the best!!! It makes sense that it isn't a shooter, it's focused on the light saber and force abilities, but who cares if you can't shoot enemies when you can pull entire star ships down with the force!!!!!!
Recently started watching your videos, and I'm hooked. You rock, dude. Smart, accurate, funny, and you also just seem like a nice guy. Thanks for making reviews that I actually enjoy watching. Keep on keepin on
+djcamoguy Bring fallout into this is kind of stupid. Though it has is flaws it is still a fun and full game. There is so much to do in it. Also Bethesda made the mistake of using the same engine they were using before, and said engine is outdated in the modern market. But it is at least a full game. Though it does have some technical issues it is full.
me, and now that I think about it, Almost all the points chris made in this review are actually nullified by the various updates and free dlc's that have come out, and continuing to be released, like for instance, a bare bones version of instant action is coming to the game this next Wednesday, (it'll be patched eventually for all modes, not just wa and fs) there's also the bo rifle from rebels being added as a free gun, and the relby k-12 being added as a unique charge card for free. They added snipers glare as well, so chris just dug himself another hole right next to angry joe.
+SpaceOstrich 325 It doesn't change the fact that they basically charged $110 for the game for the first year it was out...no matter how much free stuff they have now, the game still cost over $100...GTA V cost $60, and I've gotten all the DLC for free. So he wasn't wrong, they just fixed the game for future players...he still waited at midnight to pay $60 for the right to buy $50 DLC
They sold a game that had no content and charged $60 for it. This obvious lazy cash grab dosent deserve to have the battlefont name. Chris was spot on in his review as was angry joe. You dont know what the fuck your talking about.
***** $40 and ajs actually lied about stuff like weapon spread and vehicle lock on. And there was free dlc and patches that helped fix the game based on fan feedback.
+SpaceOstrich 325 Game was $60 not $40 at release. No amount of patches and "free" stuff dosent fix the fact that they sold 30% of a game at full retail price.
Something I think Battlefront 2 lacked, was competent AI. Your teammates could be extremely useless and the enemy could be really unfair. I also didn't like how they took away air combat on ground maps, like they had in Battlefront 1. This Battlefront game, improved on NONE of that. And instead made a casual, lazy attempt at a Star Wars shooter. My point is, this game shouldn't exist, and what he should have gotten instead was the cancelled Battlefront 3, which would have been awesome. But instead, we get a Battlefront game managed by EA, probably the most greedy and incompetent game company out there, who basically treat DICE (a legitimately good game developer) like their puppet.
Battlefront for PSP is preety good. Very nice ground to space, even slight armor customization on some levels. And it has a single player story. It's not as looked over as their home console counterparts.
Why did you buy the game if you obviously don't like online gaming. It's not like they lied and told everybody that there was going to be a campaign. I'm not defending the game I haven't played it yet. Just wondering.
He's trying to get more views. In fact, the more I watch his movie reviews he tends to go off course and talk nonsense. Return of the Jedi review he actually made up his own dialogue and scenes then continued to bash the film because HIS ideas weren't in the film.
Chris, check out the Witcher III. Game of the gen so far and it does DLC right by having a complete, 150+ hour story with 30+ hours of more content coming for only $25.
+EinBick what the fuck are you playing on? I've put in 20 hours so far and haven't had any issues, crashes, massive bugs/glitches. Brilliant so far, and this is my first Bethesda game.
every reviewer i have watched complains about the no single player campaign...yet they knew going in there wasnt any? i dont get it they were honest and upfront about what the game is yet people want to complain about the singlle player campaign because its the " thing" to do right now to get views and get likes
It's not about whether or not people knew it wasn't going to have a single player component or not. It's about the fact that they think it should and it doesn't. That's what people are saying when they criticize the lack of the mode. As with the overall lack of content people say that the game has.
He bought the game expecting to only play a great star wars singe player campaign while it was repeatedly statet that the game wouldn't have a campaign. And he prouds himself of even going to the midnight release. Haha The amount of naivete of most reviewers is just mind boggling to me. That's like going to the midnight release of phantom menace back in 1999 and afterwards whining about that none of the old actors were in the movie although it was never stated at any point that they would return. Also I think this must have been his first game with the focus on multi-player. This game has insta death online? Most casual AAA online shooter in years and he complains about the skill online lol. "I am not a bad gamer, I played all the other star wars games"... Yeah if you played Roque squadron on your n64 then clearly you should be good in an onlinr shooter... Sight
+hubachecka Friggin Splatoon was made as an online shooter but included a 4-6 hour single player campaign and free DLC. If you want to sell this as an online only shooter, this is still lacking. Halo Reach had more multiplayer modes years ago (and hours more content in the campaign). Shooters for over a decade now have offered a few hours of campaign as a story-driven tutorial to get you used to controls and mechanics and then you can spend hours improving online. Even Evolve and Titanfall had this. So saying upfront that a company is "focusing on the multiplayer" still implies keeping this model. This game gives you less than an hour of single player, so there's no way that was enough to prep casuals for online 1-hit death multiplayer against people who trained in the beta. Why are you defending getting less content for the same amount of money anyway?
+D-man Bradley If you think this game has less singe player player value than evolve or titanfall? Just because they labelled it "campaign"? Evolve also had less maps as well. I think 60 dollars is fine for how much work they put into the authenticity and feeling of Star Wars. Also I don't understand what you mean by online insta death.
Chris you are one of the reviewers whose opinion I truly value because it's unbiased. that being said I'm glad I can still play my original Battlefront games haha
I basically had the same experience when playing the beta, so I'm gonna wait when this game and all it's DLC's are in a pack together for cheap :) Which will probably be a few years down the line.
+CloneTroopr Id say 2 weeks after the last DLC drops they will bundle and sell everything for 70 or 80, or sooner depending on how well the DLC does or doesnt sell.
Holy crap Chris everything you said on this video what I said when I got my copy of battlefront!! Hahah but just to let you know Chris if you don't know much about EA there garbage company it's been like that since battlefield 4 was broken and it got lots of hate. They have the Star Wars license just so they can fuck it up. The old games that you have is made by Lucasarts but Disney killed it because they want to make mobile games instead.
he knows a lot more about games from what I've seen in his other video games reviews, but yes fuck EA. I never blame DICE, this situation is them cutting content to make a game they can actually finish.
Dude are you serious? So this is it? There is going to be no more quality Star Wars games made by lucasarts? I want Jedi outcast and battlefront 1&2 back, how can they be making such awful decisions, they think this will make money but nobody will invest their time and money into trashy games
+cesar diego EA has been like this way before Battlefield 4, but that was the breaking point for most people. EA Fucked a lot of franchise, earlier that year(2013) they same year they release BF:4 they destroyed Sim City, they have now ruined the Sims... I just can't take their B.S. anymore...
Jesus fucking christ. Everyone is a goddamn critic, and everyone has an opinion. People want to compare this game to the original battlefront games, and blame buyers who actually bought this game to just be suckered into a hype train. Well, you're suckered into nostalgia rot. These critics also rated SW battlefront 1 and 2 as mediocre when it came out. Also, the multiplayer in SW battlefront was SHIT. Terrible connections and terrible bugs. Also, the heroes you got to play as were painfully unbalanced. If you were the droid army, I GARANTEE you're going to stomp everything with Maul and his double bladed lightsabers. Also, the campaign in SW BF 2 was Half assed, and it was actually recommended to just play it for the multiplayer, as the campaign offered little to nothing as it was conquest with voiceovers and a compilation of 10 minutes worth of still cinematic cutscenes. But everyone wants to say and praise how SWBF2 campaign was soooooo good! It wasn't. it was conquest with voiceovers. Speaking of conquest, conquest was a mode where you just easily broke the game and steamrolled over your opponent. This also got a mediocre score by those same self-proclaimed critics. Then, when DICE showed us some footage of this game, everyone put on their critic caps and said, "there is NO FUCKING WAY that's gameplay. That's just pre rendered footage. Fuck EA. "But guess what? The Beta hit, and oh how we found out we were all terribly wrong. This critic shit has gone way too far. All of you want to be a critic, and it costs you not a damn thing. It's so easy to pick apart ANYTHING. But the truth is, hundreds of people, planning, and years went into making this game, and it fucking delivered. Look kids, you're right about the lack of planets. Theres not many. And honestly, I do think the prequels do better in video game shit than they do in movies. No game is perfect. However, this is the first star wars game in the history of star wars games with such incredible artistic design and detail that went into it. Also, there are more game modes than SWBF 1 and 2 combined. Yes, the core game + the dlc is 100 bucks, but honestly, its their hard work that they put into it, so they get to determine what they think is justified in terms of selling price based on its own merits. If you don't agree, great. Don't buy it. But to sit there and bitch and moan over work YOU DID NOTHING TO CONTRIBUTE and demand it should be FREE WITH THE GAME is fucking disrespectful. If they just want to release one map with one mode for 60 bucks, guess what? It's their right to do so. It's their game, and it's their business model. This is why when you go into some restaurants, extra sides and refills cost extra. You don't bitch at the owner and demand free shit (though I know some scummy people who actually do). However, this game is going to be expanding and evolving for a really long time. Its longevity will last more than most games you play today. Yes, you don't know what kind of DLC you're getting in the future, but the reason I bought this is because they did a damn good job at delivering an awesome Star Wars experience. There. Glad I got that off my chest.
+CraftyMiscreant Man you put a lot of effort into writing that just to get your $10 check from EA. I played Battlefront 1 and 2 this weekend and they're still excellent, unlike this piece of shit.
+CraftyMiscreant Battlefront 1 and 2 might have been poorly designed in some areas, but compared to EA's Battlefront, it's a friggin masterpiece. The only thing going for EA's Battlefront is graphics. You know what EA's Battlefront reminds me of most? Early 2000s games demos and F2P games. 4 planets, 6 heroes and no single player? Sounds like some F2P online shooter I would have download and played 10 years ago. Now we pay AAA game prices for it.
Notgivingmy nametogoogle EA didn't pay me anything. I live in China and am an English teacher out here lol. Yes, battlefront worked excellent after all of their DLC, and their patches that eventually fixed the game. On first release though, it wasn't all that great.
One25 Just graphics? No. The gameplay is solid and balanced, unlike BF 1 and 2, which are heavily unbalanced. Are you the one to arbitrate what is acceptable for gameplay and what isn't? There are more game modes on here than there are on the original BF. I don't see what the hell you're complaining about. In the OT, there are only 4 planets that the heroes go to in the entire trilogy. Does that mean that the movies lack content as well??
Chris, I'll do the rating for you. The game is a D- at best. Incomplete, terrible garbage that uses the fact that it looks shiny to drain peoples wallets.
If you have a PC built after like 2010, get Battlefront 2 on it. It is only like $10 on Steam (theres also a pirated version with a bunch of awesome mods). I play it when I am bored in class on my shitty HP laptop that runs it on very high settings. It is so much better on PC than it was on my PS2.
I got it a few days ago on the Origin sale, and I'm having fun, but not as much fun as the first two. It doesn't even feel close to them. All they had to do was take Battlefront II and update the graphics, add/remove some game modes (but not Conquest, that is the shit), and release that. This game has literally been out for a month, and I just got it, and can't try out all the game modes, simply because I can't find anyone. It's obvious which game modes were the good ones, because those are the only ones I can find people playing. This is a hugely hyped game, it's still new, I should be able to find more matches. I got this for $40, and even then I'm not satisfied. I need to pay another $50 in order to really have the game.
I...... like this game. *braces for skewering* No seriously though, my opinion is that it's a good little casual multiplayer game. When I watched the Walker Assault video from months back, it was very clear to me that they were focusing on multiplayer and that there wouldn't be much single player content. Most games now don't even have singleplayer stuff minus series like Batman or Naughty Dog made games. Plus I was aware EA might try to screw over people with over-priced content and Season Passes and so forth. But I had a simple solution: don't buy the Season Pass. I'm fine with what's here and don't feel to whine and moan over something that's completely optional. Gameplay feels fast, vehicles are super cool to use, John Williams various tracks get me pumped during battle (the original soundtrack is sketchy though) and it is very pretty graphically. So virtually NO ONE will agree with this but that's cool. I'm just tired of people whining over something that isn't in their control.
+XenoKaiju "Most games now don't even have singleplayer stuff minus series like Batman or Naughty Dog made games." You can like Battlefront all you want, but that's totally inaccurate. Even games like Call of Duty and Battlefield that people mostly only play for multiplayer still have full single player campaigns. The quality of those is totally arguable, but it's still there.
+XenoKaiju (it was very clear to me that they were focusing on multiplayer and that there wouldn't be much single player content) focusing on multiplayer? it only has 4 maps ffs, and they are not good maps either, how is that focusing on the multiplayer? its unbalanced aswell so gameplay sucks, so clearly not much thought have gone into making a game, this game is more of a visual tech demo then a game, most shooters have a full singleplayer experience and twice the amount of maps in the base game. and yet you think they are focusing on multiplayer thats rediculous the only thing they are focusing on is sound and visiuals and selling their dlc, i wish it was a option to only buy the dlc season pass and not the base game, atleast then you get 16 maps on multiplayer for 50$ If you really want this game badly wait a year or 2 for the price to drop and all the content to come out, then maybe it would finaly be worth 60$
casual gamers will love this game or the younger generation will like it(because how beautiful it looks) and also people who buy mainstream games. hardcore gamers are usually the ones that hate It. because they look at the value of the game and what it really has to offer upon its content. this game only has two pro's to it. 1. being its STAR WARS 2. having beautiful graphics. hardcore gamers judge a game by a whole and how much fun they are going to have overtime and is it even worth getting and supporting. while causel gamers just think about if they are going to have fun now verses later and they don't think or care for their outcome of buying half ass games. pretty much like mindless sheep. lol
In Canada, brand new games cost 80$ I assume its because of the Canadian dollar worth is significantly worth less than the US dollar. I ordered battlefront as a Christmas present for myself at a very reduced price (in Canada) for 50$. While I am concerned that there will be a large lack of content I'm still pretty excited to play this game with my friends during the holidays.
I'm sorry if this is the first time you've felt the sting of a big company screwing over a valued IP. Excellent graphics and sound but holy hell if this game isn't devoid of long-term appeal. I see it dying out faster than Titanfall.
+Steven Norris I dont know when did Titanfall die out but for instance Arkham Origins Online, which was totally bugged when released and still not the favourite of the players is still online after 2 years and you can still play it. So I dont think a Star Wars game will die out very soon... especially that many people like the game... Also Arkham Origins Online has less to offer than Battlefront...and it still works.
I was a 90's kid growing up in a time where I got Star Wars Battlefront(the first one now) for my birthday. It was incredible. Became familiar to the game and fell in love with it. I got the sequel couple of years later and my god I called so many sick days in primary school for that game.So much to do you would swear with the way I felt and acted with the game as a child I was part of the fight I took part in.I seen the teaser for Battlefront in 2013 and dear god the excitement overwhelmed me.I have praised and begged for this game to come out. It finally released and I have enjoyed the game to an extent. It looks and feels like star wars. Like one whole movie. There just isn't enough content to suffice 75 euros. Its over 120 euros for this game with season pass. I will continue to play the game when I feel there is nothing else to do. Or maybe I will get the season pass I don't know. But I am so sad to see the generation of gaming I was brought up in to see it destroyed by the corporate bullshit of todays world. I do still have hope for games thanks to titles like fallout 4 and the witcher 3 and even bloodborne. So hopefully things will change. Thank you for taking your time to read my comment!
How does this have no comments? I'm not really interested in Battlefront, but if it was good, I'd probably buy it. Thanks for the heads up! I'll stick with Fallout 4, and wait for the DLC to come out (I bought the $30 season pass, I'm against DLC for the most part, but Fallout gets a pass) Great video, Chris! And once again, why are there no comments
+DevilsBathtub It works 80+% like Battlefield 4. Except for the spawning power ups and the cards its pretty much Battlefield, I mean walker assault is pretty much Rush just with moving points, aka the walkers.
+Sebastian Gomez I agree, everyone who says its just Battlefield 4 reskin has no idea what they talk about. The idea of the original Battlefront games was something like a Star Wars Battlefield anyway. Even though people said they don't want a reskin of Battlefield 4, they didn't wanted them to remove the Battlefield gameplay but to keep the gameplay features which made the Battlefront games unique like rolling, third person and space battles etc. But in the end they removed all the suff which made these games great including Battlefield and just made another generic shooter with a Star Wars skin which is also heavely overpriced.
l really like you Chris and the videos you make, but what you did here was simply wrong to begin with. You say its unacceptable to release a game with such a high pricetag that has such little content, yet you gave EA your money. It was known that there wouldnt be a Singleplayer campaign, yet you gave EA your money. $50 Season Pass and you dont like it? Guess what, EA doesnt care what you like and what you dont, they care about your wallet and with your action of preordering this trash, you show them that it is okay to do what they do. So, all your points about how bad and unfair this Star Wars package is are obsolete, because your actions dont go with what you are saying in this review. And they already have your money, so it doesnt matter anyway. I dont want to call you a hypocrite, because l know you arent one, but buying this game and then calling it an unfair practice falls under the hypocrisy category. Jeremy did it best, he knew what this game was all about and that it was fishy - so did many other people who didnt buy it. This game will be dead by January/February next year - if even. But the fanboys dont want to admit it. And EA is laughing about all of us.
Robert Delaney Funny you mention Fallout 4, because its the complete opposite of what Battlefront is in terms of value. You just get so much for your money, which is even better for people in Germany for example, where games are more expensive.
He wasn't saying it was a terrible game if that's what you're thinking, it just wasn't the game people wanted and hoped it would be. It didn't seem that it lived up to the expectations we all had. It wasn't bad, it could just be improved
They've released a complete version of the game now and there's more single player content now. I know you've already reviewed the sequel but is there any chance of a re-review where you rate the game? Maybe as part of a retro rewind of the original Battlefront games before the release of Episode IX or Jedi: Fallen Order? Kinda like when you re-reviewed TASM films.
chris your cool but dont let your skill at multiplayer games come into your judgement on a game , due to your reviews it is obvious that you play games for the story so dont bring games down for your skill
+James Martin yeah im kinda with you here. ive seen a dude go 65-10 kill/death ratio in this game. i usually hover around 30-15. best ive done is 39-13.
+James Martin Did you listen? Has nothing to do with being bad at the game. There is very little content for the money. He stated he loved Battlefront 2, which by the way takes a hell of a lot more skill to be good at then this game.
+James Martin I dont know if I can agree with you on this completely. The online gameplay isnt like a Battlefield, but really simple and shallow in comparison. With that being said gamers like Chris are probably the core audience for this game, so it should be FUN even if you aren't some hardcore competitive shooter guy.
Alundaio i listened, im just saying i havent seen myself or others who have played tons of online shooters having the insta-death issue after a few matches
i knew this game was going to be completely different when i found out dice were creating this game which i hoped for , i think the main issue why people are dissappointed in this game because the last two were easy battles with bots and in this game youre against online player. they wanted this game to be easy to pick but hard to master.
games better than ea's trash battlefront rogue squadron 2 and 3. kotor 1 was a blast, jedi knight is the best jedi sim, battlefront II is the best trooper sim, heck the pc version still getting free mods to play around with to this day, star wars racer, a great add to the star wars mythos, heck even the lego star wars games are fun. lets not forget the super star wars trilogy my gosh revenge of the sith was a good beatem up/hacknslash/adventure/fighting game imo
+Nathan Zeya LOL what shit from EA? Unlike Chris i did some research on the game and I knew what I was getting before i made the pre-order. I did not purchase the season pass but I am enjoying the base game with its so called lack of content. EA never lied to us about there being no single player campaign. So why act so surprise that the game's main focus is on multiplayer?
So you did research and you still decided to purchase a game that is DLC oriented? EA are scums they fucked FIFA and Battlefield as well. btw I'm a really big star wars fan but I refuse to buy a game that is trying to take advantage of its customers.
+yan501st exactly on point. Why complain so much everyone. Obviously people like it. Yes there is no single player but that's not a bad thing that they wanted to focus on the multiplayer experience. It's not like it would have been good anyways. The game is a blast because it's something new from the standard fps games right now. I know some people will think it's the same but isn't that all fps games? The mechanics are great and it works well.
Star Wars games that are better than Star Wars Battlefront 2016. Star Wars battlefront 1 Star Wars battlefront 2 Republic Commando Lego Star Wars the complete saga The force unleashed Jedi Outcast Star Wars the clone wars Star Wars battlefront elite squadron Star Wars Kotor Even Star Wars Kinect is better
Yeah wasn't impressed with battlefront a complete slap in the face to the original battlefront and 2. I been waiting on battlefront since 2006 and no I refuse to play this. I still have Battlefront 2 on ps2 I refuse to buy a 120 dollar game that's just plain out stupid.
My dad still owns Battlefront 2, I played it many times, non-stop, and I'm still playing it today. I felt invincible and more badass whenever I play as a soldier and both a Jedi & Sith. I wish I could play that Shadows of the Empire game though, I was always into Star Wars and someday, I will play that game.
can you review star wars battlefront 2 when it comes out this November, i think you might be surprised about the game: all eras, single player campaign, space battles, cross era battles and best of all... NO SEASON PASS/ DLC
The disappointment in your voice is apparent and heartbreaking, but I love the sincerity & honesty in this review. Also, thank's for showing my vid some love!
+Jeremy Jahns Dude you're awesome! :D
I knew this game was going to be bad
Jeremy you are the reason I decided not to waste my money on this game thank you!
Man, Jeremy. You and Chris are greatly appreciated for your well informed views on movies and video games.
Fuck it! I'm buying 50 McChickens
I'd agree with you but every time I order one they put WAY to much mayo...bleh!
+jet fire Maybe get 50 cokes? Seems like a better investment :P
Fun Franklin 50 cokes? Man that's a lot of peeing you'd be doin. But then again 50 McChickens...that's a massive dump =O
Fun Franklin but I don't do drugs
+Alex James I got my Refund so I can buy Porn now :)
Its kinda sad what gaming has become now. The spirit of the hobby is gone...its all about ratings, competitive play, DLC, season passes, micro transactions, download-only games etc.
Jeff Daniels DLC is the worst of them all and season passes
Blame EA and Activi$ion
We still got good games like Spider-Man ps4
I skipped paying $110 for this shit and bought Kotor, Kotor 2, Battlefront, Battlefront 2, The Force Unleashed, The Force Unleashed 2, and Jedi Academy for like $15 total on steam.
That's the way to do it homie. I still play Battlefront 2, even though I have EA BF. EA BF was a waste of $40.
If you like RTS, buy Empire at War. Great strategy game just by looking at it.
Nit Picker bullshit
Nit Picker Battlefront isn't even on steam, lying fucker
LOL Jedi Academy was the shit back in the day. When I was in high school, my friend and I used to just play that game as soon as school ended until 10 p.m. haha
Yea I thought battlefront 2 that came out years ago was and still is the best battlefront game
+Ian Quyck I do too and plus you get to play through the series and also play in outer space. I don't see that in the new one
The Battlefront games are great and all....but do the fish move?
But battlefront 2 has visual problems. Certain levels are almost impossible to see in, jabba's palace. Battlefront 1 is king!
I thought everyone knew there was no campaign to begin with
+Artakha the Creator but you don't que up and pre order a game and know nothing about it. Pretty sure he just saw Star Wars and lost it.

How dare you call Battlefront's single player a campaign, it doesn't have any story to it.
to be honest what single player?
Dylan Gouldthorpe Battles, Training, and Missions
the gaming mulk shake yea but there is like no effort put into them.
How could you know months beforehand? I preordered this game back in June.
that's why you wait to hear what other people say about it and then buy it!! Theres no reason to pre-order it,
+ratnick its way too late, its become norm now. I see people making pre orders everytime i visit the local EB games store. We are pretty much fucked.
+ratnick Chris is more of a movie guy. He likes games, but he isn't as wise to the ways of the industry as Jeremy and AngryJoe are.
+ratnick ive only pre ordered one game, pokemon omega ruby. was not disappointed
Too expensive for a small content, should've cost less than 60 bucks. Its depressing to learn that EA is hurting the gaming industry.
Not as much as Activision with Destiny
$80 in Canada......
And WON. TWICE. (just google it, if you don't believe me)
Every person who doesn't live under a rock should've noticed by now.
+Ali Azri (yayie) its over priced, should cost 45 bucks, no more no less
Rogue Squadron still holds up as my favorite Star Wars series
Hey! Fire Ronin! You watch this guy! I used to love that game too!
+Fire Ronin I'm buying Rogue Leader III on Amazon now. Have you tried the Lego Star Wars games? They are definitely the best way to experience both the original trilogy and the prequels.
+Fire Ronin shadows of the empire is still my all time favortie star wars game
+Fire Ronin The only thing good that came out of Battle front was my interest to go back to those game, I took my gamecube out and started playing Rogue squadron 2 & 3. Best decision ever. now those games were made with love for the star wars franchise.
@@accursiusx13 the people that made the movie sequels have a lot to learn from the people that made the Rogue Squadron games, and also the Jedi Outcast games etc 😵
Star Wars Battlefront II was my favorite PS2 game. My childhood.
Same bro same.
Thomas Huffcutt playing Jedi vs Sith on Mos eisley
I played the shit out of that game with my best friend on his Xbox. And it was a fucking blast
Comparing it to other Great PS2 Games, I must say, you don't have a taste for Good Games.
Chris, seriously, you should try out Star Wars republic commando if you are looking for a lovely fps single player story.
Burning Flex YES!!! 🤘👍
It was too damn short :( Only 3 missions.
Burning Flex I really hope they make a sequel
Gibbs6415 those 3 missions have 6 levels each pretty much
He's already played it though. He said he's played every Star Wars ever created.
You can't honestly say Battlefront is worth £50 (obvious Brit alert) when Fallout 4 is sold at the same price.
+iKavix Fuck it,
even at £50 with all that extra DLC coming out it won't be on the same level as Fallout.
Exactly
+iKavix Fallout 4 sucks too.
Lol in canada the game is 79,99 + taxes = 91$
Yeah now imagine with doc
+X iKrazy and the season pass is 69.99 +tax
+X iKrazy
$79.99 + $69.99 (season pass) + tax = $169.48
ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY DOLLARS?!
And our dollar isnt even absurdly valued like australlia. What the christ?
***** yep, its disgusting
Lol, you need to see here in Brazil. Just in Dollars it is already very expensive, so imagine how is in Reals
It's 15 percent of a game. Literally. 4 dlcs, + jakku
Ben Solis to the games credit, they did release 3 free dlc packs with 4 extra maps
joe salcce I know I love this game I play it all the time + have season pass. But I still think the price is a bit much. It's basically a 120 dollar game. But I really do love this game
Ben Solis while i hate the fact that I had to pay so much, for me at least this has been my most played game on the new generation and I've loved playing this game since launch
joe salcce same here it's all I play now
I got it on sale for $35, Deluxe edition, all dlc. Everything. I'm fucking loving it but I can see why people are pissed about the $100-$120 game in total. The games content is good, but that's cause I have the dlc. I'd imagine if I got it upon release I would've been disappointed
Yo Chris you forgot to mention star wars kotor and kotor 2.
Thought the same thing
agreed
+Back Chaining This times 1,000. KOTOR is my favorite game of all time.
NerdBitesWeekly Mine too. That and Battlefront 2
OMG I LOVE THOSE GAMES!!! They were one of the first Star Wars games I got into that made me really get into Star Wars! So good!
It's a shame, EA. This was going to be the first full price game I would purchase since BF4. Fool me once, shame on EA. Fool me twice... No money for you.
+Daniel Ziemba
That's the spirit. Save your money for something that shows genuine promise.
no just piracy the game like this bc it aint work it or rent it first b4 u buy. this will show who the boss.
+Daniel Ziemba Good choice. Pick up a game that's actually worth it, like The Witcher 3 or Fallout 4. I'm gonna wait for a complete edition next year. It'll save having to pay double for DLC that should've been there at launch.
+Daniel Ziemba You bought BF4 and yet were still going to buy this? Wow.
Bf4 is great "now", best battlefield since battlefield 2. EA usually takes about a year after release to actually finish the game.
I think everyone is forgetting what Battlefront is all about:
Run, Shoot, Evade Blasters, Die, Respawn, Repeat.
Oh and capture the FUCKING command post.
You forgot one other essential element.
DEFEND YOUR OWN COMMAND POST!!
Yeah it was the same in the 2005 vanilla version so ..... As least there is a good other mod in this one, But i didn't say that battlefront 2 has just one mod but clearly not a lot .
"We have captured the command post" "The enemy has captured the command post" *goes to the captured command post*
"The enemy has captured the command post, our reinforcement is depleting"
- A normal match in Battlefront 2
(When you leave the battlefield) "Get back to the battle" "Are you lost? Get back to the battle" "Get back to the action, trooper.
Omg you and Jeremy are friends??
Also forgot to mention Star Wars Jedi Academy and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic.....Also complete on it's release.
Itonically Kotor 2 was not complete upon release though, although that game was rushed as hell.
Jedi academy was goat. Had our own Jedi council and everything
+Bruce and then you have fanboys trying to defend this shit with the ol' "You don't have to buy it" bullshit
Love you Simba! So sad your father died! Scar is a fuckin monster
+Sunset Shimmer the Magical Virgin Smelling Buttshaking Unicorn (Aka Chloe Price) Your username is friggin insane.
This is a multiplayer game, too. That's what it's kind of it's purpose. Like TitanFall. But I get your point about the DLC. Can't spell steal with out EA.
+Donovan Loudan If it's a multiplayer game it should come with enough content to balance out the lack of singleplayer. It doesn't.
Playing with friends? The game doesnt even support online chat lol, you would have to skype call.
Neo Human Casshern You can easily private chat talk with your friend while playing the game on ps4 and xbox one. Dont know whats the problem here
That McChicken comment will never mean the same thing again...
Cough* Republic Commando*Cough
That game was the shit back in the day, it makes battlefront look even worse
THANK YOU!
Yes!
FUCKING A!
+321CBA19 republic commando and the KOTORs were the best STar Wars games ever made imo. They need to do more crap like that
The difference between this SWBF and something Like BF or COD is that Star Wars is the most popular franchise ever made.
All I want in my life is to play as Darth Jar Jar.
+DrawingTutorial you're disgusting
Justin Street Mesa join the dark side Annie.
+DrawingTutorial NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! (good ol' darth vader no)
You mean Darth Binks
+DrawingTutorial Darth Darth Binks
It's been more than a year now. The game is free on the EA Access program. Still incomplete, still not worth it.
I saw this game at Gamestop yesterday, brand new,...for $9.99. I left the store with FFXV.
RKCjr nice choice bro
RKCjr Good choice 👍
hahaha ..fuck you
RKCjr
Just saw it on the Microsoft Store for $4.50 with all the DLC included. EA knows that they fucked up. Hopefully BFII will step up its game.

Solid snake: games, games have changed
Also Chris you mentioned final fantasy, did you play those as a kid?
ea, ea never changes
"I played virtually every star wars game"
Fails to talk about Knights of the old republic.
C:
w00ds98 and republic commando an fps star wars game
What about Star Wars The Force Unleashed?
My dude! KOTOR is THE best star wars game ever.
Well he doesn’t have to show them all
@@fert7921 Doesn't show the complete saga: unsubscribed
1. This game is lacking significant content
2. Season passes are out of fucking control
As of november 29th, 2016, I bought this game, digitally, on black friday for 12.50 dollars. I am pretty pleased and I am having a blast.
I bought it earlier this year for only 10 bucks, and thats because there was some PS+ discount or some shit. Now that the battlefront 2 beta is out they gave away all the dlcs for free.
Bought this 2005 sequels but l was not interested so l bought 2015 and 2017 version it was DOPE
ive been watching guys go like 65-10 on their matches in kill-death ratio. my personal best was 39-13 on Supremacy. if you are dying that quick online...(mad love for you dude by the way, been subbed for 4 years)... you might just not be very good at online shooters. also, partner spawning eliminates that walking long distance problem completely.
i agree about the whole dlc thing though and the limited content. but honestly i have not seen any skilled player have the insta-death problem. i think you might be factoring your skill into this. ill admit it took a few hours to not die a lot but eventually i got the hang of how it plays and got better at map vision and tactics and now the online is a blast. it definitely has a learning curve and the 1st person view is garbage. in 3rd person its great.
My persenal best was 44 kills and 5 death on Walker Assault
Sony God nice dude. i do totally agree with him on his review by the way. im just saying that i find the insta-death and the long walks as relatively weak points in the review based on the evidence i have gathered from my own and about 5 others experiences.
+treant deu You also die just as fast by heroes in bf 1 and 2
Cobi L the thign is in battlefront 2 you can kill a hero pretty easy its just here theyare way to OP and can dominate the match if so.
You end up fighting the games design more than any human opponent.
its like 2016 and there's no complete edition in sight..... ugh...
frustrating, I just got it, and hoped they might have released everything by now. They did just put up some more single player offline (free) skirmish content though, which is nice.
Damn it might have fell into the empire's hands
ozeal D. ultimate edition only $19.99 at best buy black friday weekend. Got mine.
thats cute vinny!!! i like that! good job you got a great deal!
lesson learned, always wait until all the dlc is out before you buy the game. this is what i will do for battlefront 2 if it has a season pass... and it will.
I really enjoyed Phantom Menace on PS1, did anyone else play this?
+paul oxley That game is the shit! I remember playing it when i was 6, soo good :D
+paul oxley I think I played that once at a friends house. We couldn't figure out how to jump over this one obstacle. XD
I think I had it for Gameboy Color or Game Boy Advance.
+paul oxley "Excuse me, but I must be going ." Omg I loved that game.
+paul oxley Only thing I remember about that game was I was absolute shit at jumping lol
Watched Jeremy Jahns also. You guys have saved me money and a s*** load of aggravation. Imagine if EA had control over The Force Awakens...not a good scenario. THANKS!
Pay for the movie tickets but to actually enter the theater is 10$ DLC
Sebastian Gomez True Beans!
+Mariko True the first ten minutes is $50 the next 30 minutes will be released next year, you can preorder for $69.99
+DevynnEBMusic Shit, yeah imagine that.
Though of course some would use that logic and be all "Yeah Fallout 4... content worth about $500!!"
Ah, I remember back in the day when I bought my brother FInal Fantasy III for SNES (FF6) for his birthday, and it was brand-new just released, $90. Everywhere. It was a $90 game. And it was fucking worth every penny. Sure, cartridges are more expensive to manufacture, and the battery backup in them made them more expensive for these games. But still, the content of the game itself was well worth the $90 even in 1994 money! (with inflation, that equates to $144 today!!)
So yep, keep voting with your dollars. If you dont like DLC, dont buy it. Thats all I have to say
+Mariko True Make the movie extensively long and have intermissions, with moviegoers paying thirty dollars to stay for the movie.
Why nobody mentions Star Wars The Force Unleashed? I know is not a shooter game, but even when someone talks about Star Wars game nobody mentions it. For me as a Star Wars fan is a must play game.
It's my favorite story driven Star Wars game.
+tmzissupergay I really enjoyed the first one, the second one was ok for me.
I really love that game
Keep on keepin on
Does it really matter?
Star Wars fans will buy it, defend the DLC, and praise the game.
+pinoi78 True, same way with Fallout 4 and its faults. People seem to refuse to look critically at anything they like.
+Planet Defeated lots of kids, newcomers and some diehard Star Wars fanboys will.
+djcamoguy Im a Fallout and Battlefront fan , and I love Fallout 4 and dislike EA's Battlefront , graphics does not mean a better game , at all
+djcamoguy Bring fallout into this is kind of stupid. Though it has is flaws it is still a fun and full game. There is so much to do in it. Also Bethesda made the mistake of using the same engine they were using before, and said engine is outdated in the modern market. But it is at least a full game. Though it does have some technical issues it is full.
Joshua Goad Good point
who else is watching this in 2016?
me, and now that I think about it, Almost all the points chris made in this review are actually nullified by the various updates and free dlc's that have come out, and continuing to be released, like for instance, a bare bones version of instant action is coming to the game this next Wednesday, (it'll be patched eventually for all modes, not just wa and fs) there's also the bo rifle from rebels being added as a free gun, and the relby k-12 being added as a unique charge card for free.
He was so right about buying it in late 2016 a year later...picked up the ultimate edition this holiday for $20
Wrong intro.
+PMRants I REMEMBER YOU
It's been awhile.Post some videos. I never thought I'd find you here. Its a small world isnt it?
heeyyyyy
Yo Phil where you at man I miss your videos
Why did you buy the game if you obviously don't like online gaming. It's not like they lied and told everybody that there was going to be a campaign. I'm not defending the game I haven't played it yet. Just wondering.
THANK YOU
Great username and pic
+Mr Scruffy Looking Haha, your face fits this perfectly.
He's trying to get more views. In fact, the more I watch his movie reviews he tends to go off course and talk nonsense. Return of the Jedi review he actually made up his own dialogue and scenes then continued to bash the film because HIS ideas weren't in the film.
2:24
Finally ! Chris confirms that it is a TH-cam cinematic universe , Jeremyjahns does exist within his world 🌎 haha 😂 fanboying so hard lol jk
In My Opinion…
Quality > Quantity
+Gresh854 Yup
That's why Fallout 4 kicks fucking ass!
Yep, but the other Battlefront games didn't suck at all
I personally think that there's a sweet spot where neither compromise the other
+Gresh854 In my opinion, we should have both. Why settle for half a game, when they could've easily made a quality game with substance.
Chris, check out the Witcher III. Game of the gen so far and it does DLC right by having a complete, 150+ hour story with 30+ hours of more content coming for only $25.
If he couldn't finish MGSV then what makes you think that he will finish The Witcher 3, an equal longer game?
I love The Witcher 3 dlc they did it right.
+Luis Solos He didn't finish MGSV is because he felt disappointed and wasn't enjoying it. The Witcher 3 is the better game.
+Ethan c yes, witcher III is awesome!
+Slade The Deathstroke i played mgs v and witcher III, so far witcher III has the upper hand.
you should review on knights of the old republic.:)
YES!
Surprisingly, they're now selling this for at least $20, so it's kind of more breath taking than it was on day 1.
Most of the time in blast I go 21-4 :D
gotta agree, I won't buy this. Fallout 4 is complete! Akron in the house!!
+Beastly Gamer except for when it crashes 30 times in 3 Hours and the AI feels worse then Half Life 1...
+EinBick what the fuck are you playing on? I've put in 20 hours so far and haven't had any issues, crashes, massive bugs/glitches. Brilliant so far, and this is my first Bethesda game.
+EinBick it's crashed for me 1 time and I've had it since realease
+ZacStrikesBack I have it for PS4, and since release, I've yet to have a problem, and neither have any of my friends. It's been a blast.
+EinBick hasn't crashed on me at all on PS4 but I hear that the pirated version on PC is virtually unplayable 😉
every reviewer i have watched complains about the no single player campaign...yet they knew going in there wasnt any? i dont get it they were honest and upfront about what the game is yet people want to complain about the singlle player campaign because its the " thing" to do right now to get views and get likes
It's not about whether or not people knew it wasn't going to have a single player component or not. It's about the fact that they think it should and it doesn't. That's what people are saying when they criticize the lack of the mode. As with the overall lack of content people say that the game has.
+Viracocha1231 Only Battlefront 2 had a single player campaign abliet a shit one imo.
He bought the game expecting to only play a great star wars singe player campaign while it was repeatedly statet that the game wouldn't have a campaign. And he prouds himself of even going to the midnight release. Haha
The amount of naivete of most reviewers is just mind boggling to me.
I would love a Shadows of the Empire game for a next gen console. Dash LIVES
I basically had the same experience when playing the beta, so I'm gonna wait when this game and all it's DLC's are in a pack together for cheap :) Which will probably be a few years down the line.
Whaat i cant wait for this amazing game, how could you wait
cuz he's not an idiot
+cesar diego You and Chris are part of the problem. EA doesn't give a fuck what you think because you idiots bought the game.
I just can't take their B.S. anymore...
Hearing you that you and Jeremy are friends made me happy cuz your the only two reviewers i watch xD
Notgivingmy nametogoogle
EA didn't pay me anything.
+CraftyMiscreant well said. i keep pointing that out as well. the campaigns in the old games where not even good.
Chris, I'll do the rating for you. The game is a D- at best. Incomplete, terrible garbage that uses the fact that it looks shiny to drain peoples wallets.
Lol i still play the xbox version of battlefront 2 on xbox 360
If you have a PC built after like 2010, get Battlefront 2 on it. It is only like $10 on Steam (theres also a pirated version with a bunch of awesome mods). I play it when I am bored in class on my shitty HP laptop that runs it on very high settings. It is so much better on PC than it was on my PS2.
+Jonathan Portillo it runs pretty smooth on xbox 360 but ill def try that
+Cristian Gaudino I still play Battlefront 2 on my Vita all the time haha, it's on the playstation store
+Jonathan Portillo where do you get the pirated movie?
+Jonathan Portillo sorry idk why I put movie in there lol, game*
CHIRS! WHAT ABOUT KOTOR ONE AND TWO?!
I guess I'm the only one who is enjoying the shit out of this game? Sorry you didn't enjoy it Chris that's a shame for you, very good review.
He was just Ass at the game
Josh i agree with you
I got it a few days ago on the Origin sale, and I'm having fun, but not as much fun as the first two.
*braces for skewering*
No seriously though, my opinion is that it's a good little casual multiplayer game.
Walker assault is one of the best modes in an fps :)
Princess Filth don't forget halo, destiny, OK maybe not that.
+XenoKaiju (it was very clear to me that they were focusing on multiplayer and that there wouldn't be much single player content)
focusing on multiplayer? it only has 4 maps ffs, and they are not good maps either, how is that focusing on the multiplayer? its unbalanced aswell so gameplay sucks, so clearly not much thought have gone into making a game, this game is more of a visual tech demo then a game, most shooters have a full singleplayer experience and twice the amount of maps in the base game. and yet you think they are focusing on multiplayer thats rediculous the only thing they are focusing on is sound and visiuals and selling their dlc, i wish it was a option to only buy the dlc season pass and not the base game, atleast then you get 16 maps on multiplayer for 50$
If you really want this game badly wait a year or 2 for the price to drop and all the content to come out, then maybe it would finaly be worth 60$
casual gamers will love this game or the younger generation will like it(because how beautiful it looks) and also people who buy mainstream games. hardcore gamers are usually the ones that hate It. because they look at the value of the game and what it really has to offer upon its content. this game only has two pro's to it. 1. being its STAR WARS 2. having beautiful graphics. hardcore gamers judge a game by a whole and how much fun they are going to have overtime and is it even worth getting and supporting. while causel gamers just think about if they are going to have fun now verses later and they don't think or care for their outcome of buying half ass games. pretty much like mindless sheep.
You should play knights of the old republic
The best Star Wars games are Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2.
I'm sorry if this is the first time you've felt the sting of a big company screwing over a valued IP. Excellent graphics and sound but holy hell if this game isn't devoid of long-term appeal. I see it dying out faster than Titanfall.
+Gone Sexual. PAPA BLESS
+Gone Sexual whoops, meant sound!
KOTOR always.
Can u review over watch please?
Kim jung Un the game is good but what is there to review? It will get boring to play after a while, no matter how many new heroes and maps we get
I wish I still had battlefront II..
Joshua Fuentes yeah cause I totally have $9
Joshua Fuentes nah man. I am broke. I mean I have some change..
I got it for xbox
How does this have no comments?
I'm not really interested in Battlefront, but if it was good, I'd probably buy it.
Thanks for the heads up!
I'll stick with Fallout 4, and wait for the DLC to come out (I bought the $30 season pass, I'm against DLC for the most part, but Fallout gets a pass)
Great video, Chris!
And once again, why are there no comments
Just sit in the white hothish turrets. That's the key to this game.
Yess this game is amazinf
what ?? a mcchicken is worth 1 dollar in america ?????
this game is essentially Battlefield 4.5 with a star wars skin. Not hating just my opinion after EA's bad history especially with battlefield 4.
+richy4123 its nothing like battlefield.
+DevilsBathtub It works 80+% like Battlefield 4. Except for the spawning power ups and the cards its pretty much Battlefield, I mean walker assault is pretty much Rush just with moving points, aka the walkers.
+memnarch129 nope nothing like battlefield nor battlefront
Are you kidding me? If it was a Battlefield copy it would've at least been decent, don't just say stuff about games you've never played
Hey Chris Stuckmann there is no singleplayer campaign in this battlefront game.
You should have Listened to Jeremy :)
l really like you Chris and the videos you make, but what you did here was simply wrong to begin with.
This game is dead already lol. A lot of people didn't bother to buy it mostly because of fallout 4.
Robert Delaney Funny you mention Fallout 4, because its the complete opposite of what Battlefront is in terms of value.
You just get so much for your money, which is even better for people in Germany for example, where games are more expensive.
I wasn't comparing the games. I was just saying some people forgot about battlefront because fallout 4 has been taking over their lives lol.
Robert Delaney Yeah l agree. It was a good example l meant ;)
He wasn't saying it was a terrible game if that's what you're thinking, it just wasn't the game people wanted and hoped it would be. It didn't seem that it lived up to the expectations we all had. It wasn't bad, it could just be improved
Can't spell steal without ea
They've released a complete version of the game now and there's more single player content now. I know you've already reviewed the sequel but is there any chance of a re-review where you rate the game? Maybe as part of a retro rewind of the original Battlefront games before the release of Episode IX or Jedi: Fallen Order? Kinda like when you re-reviewed TASM films.
You are the real life Eric Foreman.
I got this for free on Xbox one for some reason
Who's watching in 2017?
Berserker 108 me December 21, 2017!
October 29th 2018
I am watching this year right now in 2019.
Did you play Lego Star Wars the complete saga
chris your cool but dont let your skill at multiplayer games come into your judgement on a game , due to your reviews it is obvious that you play games for the story so dont bring games down for your skill
+Alundaio ... but his entire complaint about the multiplayer boils down to, I ran infront of someones line of fire and died.
i knew this game was going to be completely different when i found out dice were creating this game which i hoped for , i think the main issue why people are dissappointed in this game because the last two were easy battles with bots and in this game youre against online player. they wanted this game to be easy to pick but hard to master.

Still isn't any excuse whatsoever to release half a game for twice the price.
Nah this game is easy to get kills lol
games better than ea's trash battlefront
rogue squadron 2 and 3.
kotor 1 was a blast,
jedi knight is the best jedi sim,
battlefront II is the best trooper sim, heck the pc version still getting free mods to play around with to this day,
star wars racer, a great add to the star wars mythos,
heck even the lego star wars games are fun.
lets not forget the super star wars trilogy my gosh
revenge of the sith was a good beatem up/hacknslash/adventure/fighting game imo
you have reason. please continue making your videos with this level of criticism. we need more people like you and Jeremy, that says the true.
getting closer to subscribing.....
Subscribe for his movie reviews not his game reviews. imo he sucks at reviewing modern games. He is still stuck in N64 era. LOL
+yan501st no you're just a mad battlefront fan, you shouldn't accept this shit from ea.
No such thing as insta-death. Just being bad.
Star Wars games that are better than Star Wars Battlefront 2016.
Star Wars battlefront 1
Star Wars battlefront 2
Republic Commando
Lego Star Wars the complete saga
The force unleashed
Jedi Outcast
Star Wars the clone wars
Star Wars battlefront elite squadron
Star Wars Kotor
Even Star Wars Kinect is better
Don't forget Revenge of the Sith by Ubisoft. It was a cool hack n slash with an insanely replayable co-op mode.
Force Unleashed is fucking incredible, it's just Force Unleashed 2 that is meh
Chris, I'm more impressed that you've managed to keep the boxes for all those old games.
Chris Starwars Battlefront 2 is in sale on steam for 10 dollars at times and goes on sale for 3 at the steam sale (you can play on your laptop)
+Michael Mcquiggan I meant to say it is 10 at all times lol
My dad still owns Battlefront 2, I played it many times, non-stop, and I'm still playing it today. I felt invincible and more badass whenever I play as a soldier and both a Jedi & Sith.
I wish I could play that Shadows of the Empire game though, I was always into Star Wars and someday, I will play that game.
can you review star wars battlefront 2 when it comes out this November, i think you might be surprised about the game:
all eras, single player campaign, space battles, cross era battles and best of all... NO SEASON PASS/ DLC
Did you play KOTOR I/II ? just curious because they have one of the best stories in the starwars universe
