Got mine yesterday morning and I spent 4-5 hours with my jaw on the floor. The sounds this module can make are unlike anything out there right now. I'm a loyal ALM Akemie's Castle fan and I think this is actually more fun/dynamic. Fantastic stuff.
Interesting comparison... The Akemie is old school with some glitches and pops but that's also what gives it it's grit and charm. The Vector Wave sounds pristine and is a full poly synth. Why is it so hard to decide which one to take?... I'll probably get both and be done with this dilema...
Okay, it's been a while since I let my heart get set on a Eurorack module after barely keeping my marriage together after an early mid-life crisis centering on modules, but I've been working hard and being rational, so I will look forward to acquiring this sometime this year. I have one open TRS midi slot on my 5-way USB to TRS router module and hooking this puppy up to that would give me a lot of great options - such a beautifully digital osc with a high level of MIDI control would fit into my setup so well and I love these kind of digital grungy sounds and having some polyphony if desired is lovely. This module is versatile on its OWN, which is huge in Eurorack. If I hook this into my four weirdest other modules, they will all do things they wouldn't do without each other and that makes it an incredible value. I got into Eurorack just before my youngest son was diagnosed with an ultimately fatal brain tumor almost five years ago, now. So I didn't really get a chance to fiddle with it until years later. But the thing about Eurorack that I have absorbed is that changing the way you think about using different inputs and outputs together is just as important as reading the manuals and understanding the functions of each unit (I've already got the manual to this open in a tab I've been looking at when not working for a few days). It's very important to understand the manual and functions, as it is with any musical equipment, but it can't really help you with understanding the possibilities of Eurorack - the whole point is that what these things are intended to do by themselves is only part of the picture. The advantage to Eurorack is being able to make your own decisions and discoveries about how these things work together. It's kind of beautiful, but it's a big thing. I have not had the amount of time I would have liked to spend on it, all other things being equal, but it's really amazing if you are willing to experiment and go for things you don't expect. I don't have any special knowledge here, but I am pleased to be part of this smallish community in whatever way I am, and this is one of the most lovely modules I have ever seen. Mixing the digital with the analog is a big part of the fun of Eurorack and this is like the most ideal digital osc I've seen.
kind of, but not fully … In Mult mode, each Voice is assigned to consecutive MIDI channels The implementation of all CCs in Mult is currently quite basic, and we hope to develop this side in future firmware updates
We thought it more of a hommage to Scramble, [ not enough screen resolution for Defender, sadly ] Game SFX are created in the Vector Wave, and are editable as Voice 31, if anyone wants to tweak them . . .
Framing the unit rotated 45 degrees might be styllistically cool. But it makes the interface harder to read. I mean, you are trying to sell me a new module aren't you?

Great demo! I’d heard of the module but you showed so much cool stuff that it can do.
thanks !
I love all of your different watches!
Absolutely insane
Thank you !

Sounds so warm! Excellent work. The polyphony/midi alone makes me want to have it NOW!
If there was ever a reason for someone to get into modular this is it.
Just incredible design and implementation. Beautiful and incredibly powerful. So so cool! Well done!
thank you !😀
I don’t usually get excited about digital modules but this is something else😮
I get excited over good and clever things; especially if musical.
I just discovered this. Absolutly bonkers, a masterpiece!
This module is gonna explode, so happy I preordered.
It has reverse polarity protection for the power header, so hopefully not too many explosions 😀
Cool box
Sounds amazing!!
What a dynamic module.
I've got mine since a month now and it's an outstanding module, specialy for FM explorers. I haven't food the hidden game yet.....
Got mine today :).
Wow!! I want one :D
Happy I got one 🙌🤩, I would really like it to be able to switch presets via a mod source and a randomization option
thanks ! a few users have mentioed selecting voice patches via mod slots, which is something we will try and add to future firmware
@@RYKModular Fantastic!!
Im so going to build this!!
Heckin based
Yep

Jesus bro hope things are going better for you
2:20 I thought for a second I was about to hear you recreate Satisfaction by Benny Benasi
I need one! ❤
Module is awesome, but I keep getting distracted by the retro aesthetic of your watch - in a good way! What model is it?
Thanks for the comments . The brown watch is by Cabane de Zucca 1998, the yellow one is Citizen Independant Abacus also from 1998
😙👌
Is there also going to be a DIY kit for this one?
yes ! we are working on that . . .
Wow
MPE?
kind of, but not fully …

Where FM = Battel maneuvers < Tribal American - Field Manual - he has, zero lockon? That device, isn't zeroed in.
Defender ha ha.

🤣🤣🤣
Incredible the stupid things people choose to complain about. That interface is hard to read for you? lol. Jesus.
