Addiction treatment WORKS! The Twelve Step Model has been utilized as a treatment for alcohol abuse and alcoholism since 1935. It is extremely important to know that help IS out there and addiction recovery is possible. If you are battling alcoholism, drug addiction, addiction or any other form of addictive behavior, there are people who know EXACTLY what it is like!
You can find out more at: www.aa.org - Alcoholics Anonymous Official Site - As should be blatantly obvious, we are in no way affiliated with them or any other Twelve Step Program. We are just looking to provide hope to those suffering from alcoholism or addiction.
It is important to note there are several ways for one to address his or her alcohol abuse treatment. Substance abuse is a very serious condition and has become an epidemic in today's world. Many people suffering with substance abuse need treatment, such as inpatient stays, rehab, or counseling. The importance and purpose of this video, and all our other videos, is to show that recovery IS possible and to give hope to those who are struggling with alcohol and drug addiction issues. Help IS out there! :)
From the book Alcoholics Anonymous: "In spite of the great increase in the size and span of this Fellowship, at its core it remains simple and personal. Each day, somewhere in the world, recovery begins when one alcoholic talks with another alcoholic, sharing experience, strength, and hope."

Amazing talk. I’ve not got high in 5 years & 3 weeks.
Never worked steps (except for like the first 3, once)
and stopped going to meetings like 4 years ago.
I’ve no desire to score again, but the happiness has been missing!
This audio has given me to hope and insight that the solution lies in the steps.
I need to go back to a meeting and work these steps

Good thing you're a nonalcoholic because that's why you are just able to use your own power. Actually, how did you admit to Step One if you're not a real alcoholic?

@@406MenaceRacecar Could it be 'the man of thirty' in the big book? Just didn't twist, that's all. Assuming it applies to 'the real alcoholic'.

Chris you are the man. Coming up on 3 years soon and been in the big book since day one, no extra fluff like a lot of meetings are now, and it’s been the easiest 3 years of my life. Truly unbelievable where I am from where I was at. 12 years in and out of the rooms not doing a damn thing but chasing girls and hanging out. Thank you.🙏🏼🙏🏼

Great job Penny! I know how hard those first days are! I met Chris & Myers in South Padre Texas. I still struggle but I love to come back and hear their speeches. It gives me hope.
