MLB needs someone like Kawa now. That’s what it’s missing, someone to help remind everyone that baseball is supposed to be fun. I love this Guy and I’m always amazed at the baseball talent the nation of Japan produces. Thank you Munenuri San!
Fun fact : 11:20 Kawa tried to steal the Ichiro’s 4,000th hit ball on the field, an ump asked him to hand it over but he pretended he doesn’t understand English
Had no idea that he was so good-looking in his teenage years. Not to mentioned how good his sense of humor is ❤️❤️. I wouldn't mind watching his interviews everyday. I am now a fan ❤️❤️❤️
My God, he was such a baby when he was drafted. Not by attitude, mind you; it's perfectly understandable to have doubts about one's ability. I mean he looked so incredibly young.
He said when he contracted with Mariners minor league, he has no idea what the hell he was doing. 😂 He actually had an offer from major, Red Sox, but all he wanted to do was to be close to Ichiro. He thought it was like being in a farm team in Japanese league and it would be easy to go up to MLB…”Not the case! Do not contact with any minor league!!!😂” he said later during a Japanese interview.
Kawasaki, what a great guy!! That's one successful fanboy haha he really likes Ichiro a lot. I can't believe he got bashed before for being his enthusiastic self. I'm officially gonna sub right now! Great content. I've watched other videos about the Softbank Hawks. Can you cover other players' stories? Like the ikusei trio Senga, Kai and Makihara would be great!
On another video, a Japanese person commented that Kawasaki is extremely odd, and has a bizarre sense of humour in his native Japanese tongue. It’s not just cuz he’s bad at English. Lol I believe that. He’s definitely a unique rabbit. 🥕
It might be the case that some Japanese people are too shy to admit they like someone. I'm Japanese and love Kawasaki's sense of humor! He puts a big smile on my face every time he uses his great talent to make people happy. God bless Munenori Kawasaki forever ❤️
Just found this video man and yeah I remember him vividly even though I’m not a fan of any of the teams he played for so he’s definitely remembered. His injury tendencies and lack of power make sense with a nerve disorder. You can’t barrel the ball as consistently as he did without running into more extra base hits then Kawasaki ended up having. In the end one hell of a player and one hell of a human…
Kawasaki imitated Ichiro's swing, followed Ichiro and joined Ichiro's Major League Baseball team, and his number for the Japanese national team is the next number after Ichiro's number.
I loved Kawa. He was an absolute fan favourite here in Toronto. His interviews especially with Barry were hilarious. Even though his English was very poor, he tried and did not wuss out and try use a translator like some spanish speaking players like Edwin Encarnacion, Vlad Guerrero Jr, Lourdes Gurriel, etc....

I knew that too, it was in one of his books he wrote!
even a Kawasaki has to admire the speed of a Suzuki
@@VitaminVision this made me laugh pretty hard. good one
Had no idea who this guy was until 20minutes ago as I don't follow baseball at all, but I like this guy. Great personality and tons of charisma.
Same
This is what exactly what i want to say
He was one of the best things to happen to the jays. We will forever miss this guy
This is me ten minutes ago after 3 interview videos on here
Kawa small
Monkey no cramp
Grande mi tomodachingon Kawasaki trilingual-Sama 🙏
As a Jays fan, his arrival and time in the Jays team is a veryyyy fun team. His attitude just make him so loveable. Thanks for doing this
Kawasaki understood the most important fundamental truth: baseball is entertainment.
The Japanese are proud of Kawasaki and Suzuki (Ichiro) as well as motorbikes.
The man. The legend. Munenori Kawasaki!
Jays should bring him back as a coach or fan ambassador.
A team morale manager like Caleb Pressley

how beautiful his look

Kawa was so much fun in the 2010’s, always a good sound byte, his funky warm up routine, he was good for the game.
Beloved legend and fan-favorite.
Kawasaki content always hits

One of my favorite interviews for sure. Can’t help but like kawa, even as a fan of another team.
Kawa is a winner, dude is like a lucky charm wherever he played the teams win
He’s fantastic everyday!

being outgoing and different from the norm in Japan is considered a big no no.

Implying someone wusses out as they uses a translator is extremely ignorant and racist.
