About his last few years, he was back to his home team Fukuoka Softbank hawks , but injuries kept him out most of the season. In 2nd season he was sick ( disorder) n decided to retire without playing. The 3rd year last year where he was linking up with a new pro team in Taiwan that they participated in a winter league before they can join the minor this year n the cpbl major league 2021. Kawasaki only played one game then injuries but stay as player coach to help the youngsters to improve their game. Coz of the deal collapsed, the team unable to match his price. There's still a small chance that they may make a deal for next year when the team can play in cpbl.
