    I’m late to this review. But just want to say, as a busy dad, I loved the style of your review. You left the viewer with direction. That’s rare. You also sped up the audio which gave me some time back in my day. Highly appreciative. I liked and subscribed. Well done.

    Picked up the Triumph 20 a few months back on sale at Running Warehouse for $70 USD. So far I love it. Looking forward to the Triumph 22 (or maybe the Ride 17) when I’m done with the 20’s.

    I tried both and I think I prefer the Ride 17. The fit is a bit roomier for me whereas the Triumph 21 is a bit snug. I also think that the Ride 17 feels a bit more stable with more controlled cushioning, probably because it has a bit wider base. The differences are not huge though.

      @@Gustavo-x8f3q i liked the Ride 17 a lot but ultimately I purchased the Triumph 20 in all-black. It does not feel as good walking as the Ride 17 but it feels bouncy and energetic running. If your top concern is stability you made the right choice with the Ride 17. It’s more stable for sure, no question about it, and a better feeling shoe for walking too.

      @@iakona23 thank you. I was about to exchange the Ride 17s for the ASICS GT2000s but the Ride 17s are stable enough so I kept them. I might try the Triumphs to add to the shoe rotation too

      @@Gustavo-x8f3q yes same great midsole as the Triump 20-21 but more stable (especially in the heel) at the cost of being less bouncy and with less energy return.

    • @iakona23
      @iakona23 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@Gustavo-x8f3q I think it’s good to have a variety of shoes that you enjoy running in, all the way from minimally cushioned to something like the Triumph. And when you are just walking, try a barefoot style shoe like the Vivobarefoot. It all helps to build foot strength so that injuries are less likely.

    I've run in a lot of shoes over the years, but in the end, I keep putting the most miles in the Triumph series since the 17 and the 21 is following the same pattern. Can't wait to try the 22 with the PB midsole. Unless the upper takes a step back, that might be the perfect daily trainer.

      For anyone that's wondering:
      I have done 500 km on Ride 17's, and have no significant wear on them. I've had no isssues with the fabric eyelets or lacing them in general. I just bought 2 more pairs on clearance as they work really well for me as a daily trainer. (I cannot compare to Triumph 21 as I have never owned them)

    little warning - i'm a consistent Saucony user but i bought the Speed 3 online and it was much shorter in length. I'm always a US Mens 10 and it fit more like a 9 - 9.5. Apparently the fit is different for the Speed range...but they felt no reason to update sizing or even state it on the prodcut page :(

    I just can’t get my head around the foam in the triumph 20. It’s so unstable and the narrow midfoot really messed up my ankles because I found them so unstable. If the foam is the same in the ride I think I will have to avoid it.
