That brings back memories. My grandparents owned a Renault 30 when I was a kid during the 80s. In a rather brash orange color that would be impossible on that kind of car nowadays 😁 I remember it as very plush and very spacious. The rear seat was like a giant sofa. I do not remember the engine as having been particularly refined, though. Although part of that might have been because my granddad would continuously tinker with the carburator, believing he could do a better job than the shop, and usually making things worse 🤣. But even when running well, the engine had a kind of hoarse sound and was quite rough for a V6.
This car is just being environmentally conscious in its own confused way: "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" taken way too literally. It's trying to create its own closed-loop ecosystem, even though nobody asked for it. :)
amazing car! greetings from France
Hello there!
my father had exactly the same such good memories

Sounds like you had a great time with that car!
0:23 Why are the exhaust smokes going back into the car?

An early version of a EGR valve LOL.
I remember the Renault 20/30 models, but haven't seen one on the road in the UK in many, many years.
Popular in the late '70s and early '80s, they're now rare, mostly seen in classic car shows or owned by dedicated enthusiasts.
Renault Alpine A110 were nt also with V6 engine?
@@marianniculae Yes, you're correct. The Renault Alpine A110 was available with both 4-cylinder and V6 engine options during its production run.
PRV engine was crap though
