There are many references to temple ordinances that I never realized. Prophets literally stating that the Lord told them not to write about them. This is blowing my mind, and is simultaneously sending a warning for us to prepare. Repent. Be humble. Seek Christ. Follow the spirit. Sometimes I feel like I probably sound like the crazy lady standing on a corner screaming at people while rambling out some random verse... Honestly, this stuff.... It is extremely likely that any sword or weapon forged in Joseph's day was bronze/brass. They are cast in to a general shape, then hammer forged for strength, which drives out the voids and improves molecular alignment. Terribly unlikely it was steel.
This episode combined with the one about how ADAMS garments are also passed down (taken) after a head is cut off puts the whole story line together! God is kind enough to repeat history so we can get put it all together . Love this stuff!!!!!
King Tut's Iron Dagger shows that rulers had fancy ceremonial gear. Makes you wonder whether Joseph's sword would have been in his tomb and recovered when they went to move his bones (presuming the theory is correct, of course).
Not only was Nephi the heir to these artifacts, but so was Joseph Smith because he was a literal descendant of Joseph of Egypt. So are all western Europeans through Ephraim.
The history of the plates and the sword being traced back to Joseph makes a lot of sense and also gives credence to the fact that most of the members of the church today are from the tribe of Joseph with the task of the gathering of Israel. It's awesome how all of this fits together so well.
I've often wondered if each tribe had their own brass plates.. or at least their own records which might be on metal plates or maybe on papyra in some cases.

Joseph would have been considered an Egyptian High Priest as a Statesman but Joseph would have a different interpretation than everyone else. Like us in a Catholic population.
A question for Don Bradley... With the death of Laban and Laban supposedly being a prominent figure in Jewish society at the time... is there any historical evidence aside from the BOM that correlates that death? It seems like something that would cause quite the stir. Just curious. It could well be outside the realm of possibility to confirm something like that but thought Don might be one of the best people to ask.
There’s an old newspaper account of a speech by Sidney Rigdon which says JS found the sword of Gideon with the plates. I’d always assumed that was an error on the journalist’s part, but maybe not, given that Gideon was also a Josephite.
Just a correction on the sword having a guard, many ancient weapons had crossguards or single guards/finger guards etc. even way back in the bronze era. Some Spartan swords had a small guard and some even older examples have been found with some primitive form of a guard so it's not a 1700s invention at all, guards as a mechanism in fencing is as old as fencing itself it seems. So it sounds perfectly legit from that angle.
This is so cool. I had a question about something related to this...When Nephi got the plates from Laban's Treasury what is the difference in this treasury vs a different treasury that could have been in a more centralized area under their Governments control? For example.....We don't hear of Laban much in other books but we do hear of some of the names Lehi mentions in the BOM like Zedekiah. I was wondering why Laban's name was not mentioned much when he had many things he seemed to be in charge of. Do we know of the other areas around them that had other purposes? The plates seemed to be important to Laban and to Lehi almost in a way to think they possibly did not have duplicates or other versions. Any info on this? I would be surprised if no one else was related to Joseph of Egypt.
After the Assyrians invated Israel during the time of Isaiah about 100 yrs or so before BoM starts, alot of the Israelites fled back to Judah, apparently Lehi and Labans families were among them. Laban was a sort of 'captain of the Guard', or a sheriff. Mayor type of Jerusalem. The issue during Zedekiahs reign was that he was instructed to not make an alliance with Egypt but to stick his alliance with Babylon (we see later with Daniel and Esther and others that the babylonians were receptive to the gospel, the Egyptians were not). Zedekiah made an alliance with Egypt anyways, which is why Nebuchanezar invaded Judah. He needed control or influence in that area, and would not give it up to Egypt. But this happened some 15yrs AFTER 600BC. Laban was long dead by then, and his replacement long in place. Why mention him? The Jews liked Egypt because they were worldly and the gods they worshipped permitted insane sin. The babylonians (again, as seen in Jeremiah and onward chronologically) were somewhat receptive to the gospel, and alligning with them politically would have permitted Judah to repent. The treasury in the BoM was likely just the local, municipal one over which Laban had responsibility, or at least his friends did. Very unlikely it belong to the King. If Laban was a corrupt man, why would he not have his own 'bank acct' NOT tied to the federal treasury since given his robbery of Nephi and his family the man showed willingness to embezzle funds? The 'treasury' was certainly not the kings. Or at least not everything in it was reported to his higher ups. How else would he explain every time he robbed someone to the king where the money came from?

Cardon really struggles with interrupting with nonsense. It’s like he feels inferior to the guests and has to compete for attention. Dude stop interrupting.
Just observing here, but it seems like he’s usually making an attempt to inject entertainment or reiterating what the guest says, probably to keep attention when things get boring, or like any good radio host does to keep attention and account for new listeners popping in. Typically he does it well, sometimes a bit distracting I agree, but either way a necessary skill for any good radio host. Probably not out of insecurity, Cardon keeps up well with scholars on an intellectual level. Been one of my favorite shows lately, quality guests and great form.

And I doubt the hebrews couldn’t speak Egyptian when they’d been enslaved to them for so long. I don’t know that that holds up to scrutiny. But it does make sense that Joseph could/would pass down Egyptian language with his kids since it was easier to write then Hebrew and he’d be so familiar with it.

Now, if the sword was cast in Egypt by order of Joseph, being in the time of the Bronze age, was likely iron ore extracted from meteorites. Consider that there was also a steel dagger found on the mummified body of King Tutankhamen that also came from the iron of meteorites. This would make sense because Joseph could afford to get it commissioned. Maybe because he did trade with so many nations during the great 7 year famine, this knowledge was also brought to Egypt and traded? On the other hand, maybe Joseph was inspired by the Lord?
@@MemyzelphandI You're correct. Iron was the correct description for King Tuts meteoric dagger and not steel. I've actually seen it and wow it's beautiful. I think my theoretical point was that if it was made by Joseph of Egypt, perhaps the Sword of Laban was the same of the same material being made at least 1000 years before King Tuts dagger. The word in 1Nephi 4 says describes it as precious steel but maybe it was the word chosen in the translation for our day that we would understand rather than "precious iron." Iron artefacts have been found from around 1800BC.

For his use of the term Jew, Nephi uses it broadly to refer to the all Israelites back in Jerusalem (2 Nephi 33:8) and not just those of the tribe of Judah. There is other biblical use of Jew in the same generalized sense during roughly the same period as Nephi. -Daniel 3:8 for example So Nephi’s description of the brass plates as a record of the “Jews” is entirely consistent with this video’s discussion of them possibly being a record of Joseph’s bloodline You also have to remember that Nephi wrote his record several decades after they left Jerusalem. He did this because he was commanded by the Lord for a special purpose (1 Nephi 9:3) which Mormon also felt to include for an undisclosed reason as influenced by the Holy Ghost (WofMormon 1:7).
After the Ephraimite kingdom was quashed, the survivors who fled south with their record became nominal "Jews." They added the history of the Jews from that point on to their own Josephite record.

Shad from Shadiversity has something to say about the Sword of Laban.... Unless the Sword of Joshua was made of steel, (which if it's as old as Joshua in the Bible it likely wasn't), then it probably wasn't that particular sword. Steel goes back as far as 800 B.C. as far as we can prove archaeologically, but we may find steel goes back all the way to Egypt, just haven't yet.
steel historically did not alawys mean metallurgical steel like we know today. The word "steel" was used as a description of a very hard substance before metallurgical steel evolved.

The part about Moses and Joshua that Moses didn’t speak Hebrew doesn’t seem to track. Aaron his brother was the mouthpiece for Moses not Joshua. Which means he was a levi. How did Moses communicate with his in-laws who were not Egyptians? I’m not saying I’m right but for what it’s worth I think Moses felt really uncomfortable telling fellow hebrews that God called him to be a prophet and lead them to the promise land.
Labans sword was steel. Joshua was WAAAAAYYYYYYY in the bronze age. No way it was made of steel. That would make Labans sword nearly a millennium and a half old at the time of Nephi. No way. Brass and gold plates were used specifically so they didnt rust/age according to BoM. No way a steel sword could survive that long. Not a chance.
Egyptian mummy tutankhaman was found with a steel dagger with gold hilt. You can look up this item with a simple internet search. This weapon is still in fine shape after at least 3000 years. Thus your opposing argument does not hold up.

What theyre talking about here is a sword that was ACTUALLY USED in real battles and then somehow preserved for generations even when the entire hebrew/judaic lineage apostosaized, was replaced by the appointees from Babylon, and 400 yrs when the tabernacle was in Shiloh during which time there were appointed judges and things were NOT generationally linear. The oldest steel sword ever found is a rusted stick that is over a thousand years newer, and also found in the same perfectly preserved 'desert' conditions and its STILL a pos. Labans sword was made from 'fine steel' in perfect condition when Nephi found it. It was carried around on the daily and therefore exposed to normal ambient elements and conditions. I.e. NOT locked away in a climate controlled stone box like king Tuts. Not. A. Freaking. Chance. All he presented was pure speculation, anyways. No reason to believe what he presented is true, much less plausible.

Why not keep the entire sword intact if it represents some sort of linear power, and why would Laban have it? He was an appointee over Jerusalem (basically a governor) if it was to represent the power of the Judaic nation, why wouldnt the King have had it instead of Laban? Doesnt make sense. When they moved the tabernacle from Shiloh to Jerusalem, why did the sword not fall in to the hands of either of the kings of Israel or Judah?? It doesnt make any actual sense. What makes sense is Labans sword was new(ish). And that Joshuas sword was brass. Like all the other swords and edged weapons in his day. Nephi actually lived in the beginning of the iron age. JS couldnt have known that as it is just barely coming to light by archeologists.
Why wouldn't a sword made by Joseph of Egypt have gold fittings in the handle? Gold is one of the easiest metals to work with. Way easier then bronze. It just isn't strong. The gold lends itself to being Joseph's sword because he would have been rich enough to do it. The fact that Laban was regularly taking the sword out of storage and using it would actually lend itself to being preserved better, not worse then if it was locked away because it would mean the blade was getting properly maintained. Steel will last forever if it is oiled properly. I however have a few swords that got rusty after only a year in storage because I didn't clean and oil it properly before I put it in storage. So the real deal breaker is, did the ancient Egyptians of Joseph's era have the know how to make a blade out of steel. If they technology existed at the time, Joseph definitely could have gotten some. But that is really early for Steel weapons.
They weren't enslaved for most of their time in Egypt. In fact, they would have probably lived quite well having a familial relationship with the rulers of Egypt. Also, they would have had a strong relationship with Shechem, their ancestral lands and province of Egypt. It may be that the sword was already in Canaan before the enslavement and Exodus.
This would explain why Jews know of Messiah Ben-Joseph, but don't have the details about him, they were on the records kept by Ephraim, but taken by Nephi. I tried to buy The Lost 116 Pages before Christmas, however I couldn't find a copy anywhere. On the channel The Stick Of Joseph, those brothers found a guy with a steel sword that dates back to the 7th century B.C., and it very much fits the description of the Sword Of Laban given by Nephi. One more thing, on a channel called On God & Religion, they are apparently trying to debunk a Midnight Mormons video, by going over Brigham Young's Special Oder Number Two, an extermination order against the Timpanogos people.

We can be certain that Moses didn't write this in the Book of Deuteronomy. And if Joshua had written it, there would be no reason to say "UNTO THIS DAY", for it would only have been a few days. Besides that phrase "Unto this day" is found all throughout the Old Testament, with a few variations. One of those variations is "Until the Captivity" in 1 Chronicles 5: 22. So this part about Moses dying and the LORD burying Moses, was clearly added after the return from the Babylonian Captivity. Maybe this was why Satan debated about the body of Moses, because he is the only person the LORD buried himself. Except this event was added by an unknown third party hundreds of years after the event, so where did they get their information? Yet if Moses was translated, Satan would be certain point out everything wrong that Moses did that would "disqualify" him, like using the power of God to give the Israelites water, but not giving God the credit, which kept Moses from entering the Promised Land, or Moses killing the Egyptian beating an Israelite, for this is much more likely for Satan to be contending about, than whether God should have buried Moses or not.

We are told that Moroni gave JS the gold plates, Labans sword and Nephite interpreters (which were not the Urim and Thumum or the Seer Stone) so, JS did not use the tool that was handed down from generation to generation for the purpose of translating ancient records. You say he did not need the seer stone it at all, but JS would not use a tool that supposedly worked amoung the Nephites for generations? This tells us that JS was making up tall tales. The BOA is even worse. JS himself said he translated papyri that were written on by the hand of Abraham upon papyri. Then we find out that it is not a translation of Egyptian nor do the papyri come from Abrahams time period. He was involved in deception each time he claimed to be translating. Even more recently we learned that the JS translation of the Bible borrows heavily from a book known as Adam Clarkes Bible Commentary. Everyone knew JS was uneducated and that he did not know any other languages. Therefore, he had to think of some miraculous way that an unknown language, Reformed Egyptian, could be translated through him. He than clamed he, with gods help translated Egyptian from the papyri schrolls. He involves god in his deception when it is without question that the BOA is not a translation of the papyri JS had in his posession. JS lied and put his name and Gods name on an obvious hoax that is the BOA and I believe the BOM and JS translation of the bible as well.
Mormons need to educate themselves on why YHWH established the Priests of ancient Israel from the descendants of Levi (not Joseph). Only the descendants of Levi and particularly the descendants of Aaron could hold the Aaronic priesthood. Funny that Gentiles (Mormons) will also claim to hold this same priesthood (when in fact they do not). Another LIE told by Mormons is that they hold the high priesthood via the Melchizedek priesthood. However, the high priest, the chief religious authority was actually a descendant of Aaron. A fact that the Book of Mormon fictional characters never claimed to be from. Therefore, Lehi and Nephi and every other so-called Book o Mormon "prophet" were fake and they NEVER held any priesthood authority nor had the authority to establish any temples either. The Levitical priesthood officiated in a lesser law system brought up on them by their provocation. Melchizedek was not a levite, neither were Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, yet could offer up sacrifices to the Lord just like the Levitical priests.

Not only was Nephi the heir to these artifacts, but so was Joseph Smith because he was a literal descendant of Joseph of Egypt. So are all western Europeans through Ephraim.
The history of the plates and the sword being traced back to Joseph makes a lot of sense and also gives credence to the fact that most of the members of the church today are from the tribe of Joseph with the task of the gathering of Israel. It's awesome how all of this fits together so well.
I've often wondered if each tribe had their own brass plates.. or at least their own records which might be on metal plates or maybe on papyra in some cases.

I thought that about Moses for a long time. He was raised in Pharaoh’s Court
14:27 at the time of Abraham (Terra his father is Teru of Urkesh found in the Mari Tablets about 1750 BC) (Abraham about 1725-1575 BC range) to Joseph, Egypt was overtaken by a semetic population and there was a huge reinterpretation and altering of language and characters. Joseph would have been considered an Egyptian High Priest as a Statesman but Joseph would have a different interpretation than everyone else. Like us in a Catholic population.

With the death of Laban and Laban supposedly being a prominent figure in Jewish society at the time... is there any historical evidence aside from the BOM that correlates that death? It seems like something that would cause quite the stir. Just curious. There’s an old newspaper account of a speech by Sidney Rigdon which says JS found the sword of Gideon with the plates. I’d always assumed that was an error on the journalist’s part, but maybe not, given that Gideon was also a Josephite.
Just a correction on the sword having a guard, many ancient weapons had crossguards or single guards/finger guards etc. even way back in the bronze era. Some Spartan swords had a small guard and some even older examples have been found with some primitive form of a guard so it's not a 1700s invention at all, guards as a mechanism in fencing is as old as fencing itself it seems.
So it sounds perfectly legit from that angle.
This is so cool. I had a question about something related to this...When Nephi got the plates from Laban's Treasury what is the difference in this treasury vs a different treasury that could have been in a more centralized area under their Governments control? For example.....We don't hear of Laban much in other books but we do hear of some of the names Lehi mentions in the BOM like Zedekiah. I was wondering why Laban's name was not mentioned much when he had many things he seemed to be in charge of. Do we know of the other areas around them that had other purposes? The plates seemed to be important to Laban and to Lehi almost in a way to think they possibly did not have duplicates or other versions. Any info on this? I would be surprised if no one else was related to Joseph of Egypt.

After the Assyrians invated Israel during the time of Isaiah about 100 yrs or so before BoM starts, alot of the Israelites fled back to Judah, apparently Lehi and Labans families were among them.
Laban was a sort of 'captain of the Guard', or a sheriff. Mayor type of Jerusalem. The issue during Zedekiahs reign was that he was instructed to not make an alliance with Egypt but to stick his alliance with Babylon (we see later with Daniel and Esther and others that the babylonians were receptive to the gospel, the Egyptians were not). Zedekiah made an alliance with Egypt anyways, which is why Nebuchanezar invaded Judah. He needed control or influence in that area, and would not give it up to Egypt.
But this happened some 15yrs AFTER 600BC. Laban was long dead by then, and his replacement long in place. Why mention him?
The Jews liked Egypt because they were worldly and the gods they worshipped permitted insane sin. The babylonians (again, as seen in Jeremiah and onward chronologically) were somewhat receptive to the gospel, and alligning with them politically would have permitted Judah to repent.
The treasury in the BoM was likely just the local, municipal one over which Laban had responsibility, or at least his friends did.

If Laban was a corrupt man, why would he not have his own 'bank acct' NOT tied to the federal treasury since given his robbery of Nephi and his family the man showed willingness to embezzle funds?
The 'treasury' was certainly not the kings. Or at least not everything in it was reported to his higher ups. How else would he explain every time he robbed someone to the king where the money came from?

I've often wondered why Nephi was told to put on ALL the clothes of Laban after he dispatched him, was Laban wearing something that Nephi needed other than to disgise himself to get the plates?

Just observing here, but it seems like he’s usually making an attempt to inject entertainment or reiterating what the guest says, probably to keep attention when things get boring, or like any good radio host does to keep attention and account for new listeners popping in.
Typically he does it well, sometimes a bit distracting I agree, but either way a necessary skill for any good radio host. Probably not out of insecurity, Cardon keeps up well with scholars on an intellectual level.

14:08 that would make sense for Moses communicating with the Israelites but he wouldn’t need Aaron to talk to pharaoh when they spoke the same language. And I doubt the hebrews couldn’t speak Egyptian when they’d been enslaved to them for so long. I don’t know that that holds up to scrutiny. But it does make sense that Joseph could/would pass down Egyptian language with his kids since it was easier to write then Hebrew and he’d be so familiar with it.

Now, if the sword was cast in Egypt by order of Joseph, being in the time of the Bronze age, was likely iron ore extracted from meteorites. Consider that there was also a steel dagger found on the mummified body of King Tutankhamen that also came from the iron of meteorites. This would make sense because Joseph could afford to get it commissioned. Maybe because he did trade with so many nations during the great 7 year famine, this knowledge was also brought to Egypt and traded? On the other hand, maybe Joseph was inspired by the Lord?

@@MemyzelphandI You're correct. Iron was the correct description for King Tuts meteoric dagger and not steel. I've actually seen it and wow it's beautiful. I think my theoretical point was that if it was made by Joseph of Egypt, perhaps the Sword of Laban was the same of the same material being made at least 1000 years before King Tuts dagger. The word in 1Nephi 4 says describes it as precious steel but maybe it was the word chosen in the translation for our day that we would understand rather than "precious iron." Iron artefacts have been found from around 1800BC.

BofM 1 Nephi 5 calls the plates the record of the Jews twice rather than a record of the Josephites or Israelites. Also the 5 books of Moses were there from the tribe of Levi. Just a data point.
6 And after this manner of language did my father, Lehi, comfort my mother, Sariah, concerning us, while we journeyed in the wilderness up to the land of Jerusalem, to obtain the record of the Jews.

For his use of the term Jew, Nephi uses it broadly to refer to the all Israelites back in Jerusalem (2 Nephi 33:8) and not just those of the tribe of Judah. There is other biblical use of Jew in the same generalized sense during roughly the same period as Nephi. -Daniel 3:8 for example
So Nephi’s description of the brass plates as a record of the “Jews” is entirely consistent with this video’s discussion of them possibly being a record of Joseph’s bloodline
You also have to remember that Nephi wrote his record several decades after they left Jerusalem. He did this because he was commanded by the Lord for a special purpose (1 Nephi 9:3) which Mormon also felt to include for an undisclosed reason as influenced by the Holy Ghost (WofMormon 1:7).
After the Ephraimite kingdom was quashed, the survivors who fled south with their record became nominal "Jews." They added the history of the Jews from that point on to their own Josephite record.
What about the sword being unsheathed in the Hill Cumorah. "Never be sheathed again until the kingdoms of the world..."

Shad from Shadiversity has something to say about the Sword of Laban.... Unless the Sword of Joshua was made of steel, (which if it's as old as Joshua in the Bible it likely wasn't), then it probably wasn't that particular sword. Steel goes back as far as 800 B.C. as far as we can prove archaeologically, but we may find steel goes back all the way to Egypt, just haven't yet.
steel historically did not alawys mean metallurgical steel like we know today. The word "steel" was used as a description of a very hard substance before metallurgical steel evolved.

The part about Moses and Joshua that Moses didn’t speak Hebrew doesn’t seem to track. Aaron his brother was the mouthpiece for Moses not Joshua. Which means he was a levi. How did Moses communicate with his in-laws who were not Egyptians? I’m not saying I’m right but for what it’s worth I think Moses felt really uncomfortable telling fellow hebrews that God called him to be a prophet and lead them to the promise land.

Labans sword was steel. Joshua was WAAAAAYYYYYYY in the bronze age. No way it was made of steel. That would make Labans sword nearly a millennium and a half old at the time of Nephi. No way. Brass and gold plates were used specifically so they didnt rust/age according to BoM. No way a steel sword could survive that long. Not a chance.
Egyptian mummy tutankhaman was found with a steel dagger with gold hilt. You can look up this item with a simple internet search. This weapon is still in fine shape after at least 3000 years. Thus your opposing argument does not hold up.

Why not keep the entire sword intact if it represents some sort of linear power, and why would Laban have it? He was an appointee over Jerusalem (basically a governor) if it was to represent the power of the Judaic nation, why wouldnt the King have had it instead of Laban?

Why wouldn't a sword made by Joseph of Egypt have gold fittings in the handle? Gold is one of the easiest metals to work with. Way easier then bronze. It just isn't strong. The gold lends itself to being Joseph's sword because he would have been rich enough to do it.
The fact that Laban was regularly taking the sword out of storage and using it would actually lend itself to being preserved better, not worse then if it was locked away because it would mean the blade was getting properly maintained. Steel will last forever if it is oiled properly. I however have a few swords that got rusty after only a year in storage because I didn't clean and oil it properly before I put it in storage.
So the real deal breaker is, did the ancient Egyptians of Joseph's era have the know how to make a blade out of steel. If they technology existed at the time, Joseph definitely could have gotten some. But that is really early for Steel weapons.

They weren't enslaved for most of their time in Egypt. In fact, they would have probably lived quite well having a familial relationship with the rulers of Egypt.
Also, they would have had a strong relationship with Shechem, their ancestral lands and province of Egypt. It may be that the sword was already in Canaan before the enslavement and Exodus.
This would explain why Jews know of Messiah Ben-Joseph, but don't have the details about him, they were on the records kept by Ephraim, but taken by Nephi. I tried to buy The Lost 116 Pages before Christmas, however I couldn't find a copy anywhere. On the channel The Stick Of Joseph, those brothers found a guy with a steel sword that dates back to the 7th century B.C., and it very much fits the description of the Sword Of Laban given by Nephi. One more thing, on a channel called On God & Religion, they are apparently trying to debunk a Midnight Mormons video, by going over Brigham Young's Special Oder Number Two, an extermination order against the Timpanogos people.

And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre UNTO THIS DAY." We can be certain that Moses didn't write this in the Book of Deuteronomy. And if Joshua had written it, there would be no reason to say "UNTO THIS DAY", for it would only have been a few days. Besides that phrase "Unto this day" is found all throughout the Old Testament, with a few variations. One of those variations is "Until the Captivity" in 1 Chronicles 5: 22. So this part about Moses dying and the LORD burying Moses, was clearly added after the return from the Babylonian Captivity. Maybe this was why Satan debated about the body of Moses, because he is the only person the LORD buried himself. Except this event was added by an unknown third party hundreds of years after the event, so where did they get their information? Yet if Moses was translated, Satan would be certain point out everything wrong that Moses did that would "disqualify" him, like using the power of God to give the Israelites water, but not giving God the credit, which kept Moses from entering the Promised Land, or Moses killing the Egyptian beating an Israelite, for this is much more likely for Satan to be contending about, than whether God should have buried Moses or not.

The stone was never needed, but Joseph Smith Jr had convinced himself that he needed it. We all must one day discard our crutches and rely on the Lord Jesus Christ as the Prophet Joseph Smith Jr did.

The BOA is even worse. JS himself said he translated papyri that were written on by the hand of Abraham upon papyri. Then we find out that it is not a translation of Egyptian nor do the papyri come from Abrahams time period. He was involved in deception each time he claimed to be translating.
Even more recently we learned that the JS translation of the Bible borrows heavily from a book known as Adam Clarkes Bible Commentary.
Everyone knew JS was uneducated and that he did not know any other languages. Therefore, he had to think of some miraculous way that an unknown language, Reformed Egyptian, could be translated through him. He than clamed he, with gods help translated Egyptian from the papyri schrolls. He involves god in his deception when it is without question that the BOA is not a translation of the papyri JS had in his posession. JS lied and put his name and Gods name on an obvious hoax that is the BOA and I believe the BOM and JS translation of the bible as well.
Mormons need to educate themselves on why YHWH established the Priests of ancient Israel from the descendants of Levi (not Joseph). Only the descendants of Levi and particularly the descendants of Aaron could hold the Aaronic priesthood. Funny that Gentiles (Mormons) will also claim to hold this same priesthood (when in fact they do not). Another LIE told by Mormons is that they hold the high priesthood via the Melchizedek priesthood. However, the high priest, the chief religious authority was actually a descendant of Aaron. A fact that the Book of Mormon fictional characters never claimed to be from. Therefore, Lehi and Nephi and every other so-called Book o Mormon "prophet" were fake and they NEVER held any priesthood authority nor had the authority to establish any temples either.
